      Iheartgt86 thats not what japanese tuners mean when they say balance, Most do seek neutral handling but hey are refering to balance on a larger scale, balance between all componets in the drivetrain, suspension, tires, and brakes. Any one of these going to far out of balance will ruin a car. To much or to little of anything in ratio to the rest is a problem. Cars can be under or over tired, and the same goes for springs, dampening, HP, brakes, etc. Everything must work in conjuction.

    Revolution: Balanced, needs more power.
    Rasty: Too much power
    Kanki: Comprimised handling with heavier front end. Sounds the best though.
    Amuse: Too much power.

      Actually Porsche helped in the development of this engine, particularly in it's second stage ez30Dll, helping with vvt both for intake and exhaust system.

      The 86's stock engine is whats keeping me from getting one, friend of mine blew 3 engines (and he's not the type to blow engines just like that), weak factory connecting rods being the issue.
      Have they fixed that yet?

    I'd go with STI package and ez30 swap. Not even new fa24 matches this combination. Ez30 outperforms fa24 and sounds amazing!

    At some point Revolution needs to add *some* power. Their cars have so much potential. A pretty good NA build would do wonders.

      FA20 suck for NA build. Maybe a FA24 swap when those are fully figured out. Beyond bolt ons and E85 you are pretty much at it max potential.
      HKS makes a 2.1L stroker with a cam package that adds something like 10whp on-top of a full bolt on E85 car. Hardly worth the 5k+ for 99% people. Or you can buy their complete engine package for a Ludacris price.

    I want a 86 so bad! Im not about power or drifting, I want a rwd car with a 6 speed, reliability and light weight. Not to mention the 86 is one of the sexiest body styles of any Japanese car in history..

    H6 ez30r with vtec and vvti have high potential with custom performance camshaft..
    Also final drive shorter ratio needed for touge application... Rpm drop too much on every gear change

    峠タイムでは軽量化によるハイレスポンスがベストだ 足はガチガチにせずしなやかな状態が良い 新型86ならスタビのみ交換でOK バネレートは標準が良い 下手にパワーあげても扱いにくくなるならタイムは出ない

      それじゃショップの名を売りにきてる意味が無いような。ガチガチの脚で群サイ不利だって判ってるんだからデータも何も無いと思う。ま、それに関しては以前土屋さん言ってたし、俺がどうこう事無いわな。ブレーキが効かないとか中古のタイヤで来るショップは論外だがな。
