    Burgundians from Lords of the West DLC also have West European architecture style.
    Sicilians also from Lords of the West DLC also have Mediterranean architecture style.
    Poles and Bohemians from coming Dawn of the Dukes DLC will have Eastern European architecture style.
    But every civilization from DLC's, have unique Castle style.

      They should reworked the new architecture design for old introduced civs...make it 2 buildings...one is called castle which shared design to same architecture style and another one called as Fort for each civilisation itself...

    If there is only one civ using the South Asian tileset, they should introduce... Tamils, maybe? A sea- and trading based civ with some kind of spice-based tech or something. It could have a unique trade cog unit or something in addition to the castle unit.

      @@jaybonn5973 Mongols and Huns would basically need their own set to themselves. I always thought that making an entire set based on the Yurt designs would work for them.
      Although the Mongol one does work if you think about them during the Yuan Dynasty, as they basically had China's buildings.

    • @jaybonn5973
      @jaybonn5973 3 года назад +1

      @@tyranitararmaldo This is true. It's why Mongolia is part of the east asian set. Really, based on architecture alone. I'd group Tibet and mongolia together.
      The interesting thing about the huns is they may or may not be ancestors of the Magyars or Hungarians which opens a whole can of worms

    • @tyranitararmaldo
      @tyranitararmaldo 3 года назад +1

      @@jaybonn5973 if Tibet was a possibility, I would love it. Although (like India) they have an extremely unique set of buildings and would not be surprised if they got their own.
      Huns being related to the Magyars/Hungarians I thought had been debunked? Sure there is going to be some small pockets of people related to them there, but iirc the Magyars are from a very different area. Although even if they were, it's not such a big issue as they occupy such different time periods in-game.

    I love how much better everything looks now. It is also more logical and accurate. But... I have two ideas that, if implemented, would improve the visual side of the game even more. Firstly, every civ deserves a unique castle, not only the newest ones. All the old models of castles should stay of course, but only for one civ: for example East Asian castle should be Japanese only. Secondly, after the Dawn of the Dukes, we have six civs with eastern European architecture style. I think it would be a good idea to split those in two. Slavs, Bulgarians and maybe Lithuanians should keep their current style, but we need a new style for Poles, Bohemians and Magyars. The Eastern European one, with the Orthodox looking churches does not suit those civs well.

      I've never really understood why Mongols have Japanese style castles, it would be cooler if they had a kind of great tent type of castle

    I think Mediterranean architecture (except roof shingles) was better and more historically accurate before, especially as far as the "monastery" is concerned. The building in DE is clearly inspired by Santa Maria Novella church (Florence), a 14th-15th century masterpiece of Renaissance that doesn't make me think of Middle Age. The shape of the facade is quite common in Italy (not so much in Spain and Portugal) but it has been taken as a widespread model later, during baroque period. The belltower is gothic and it's fine (not so common in Italy btw), but the romanic tower in use before was just perfect, truly medieval and suitable for every Mediterranean civs, even for the Byzantines (DE monastery is absolutely unfitting for them).

    • @jaybonn5973
      @jaybonn5973 3 года назад +2

      The issue is the game takes liberties with the timeline. How do you group 3-4 civs under one style when one of them died long before the other 2 existed, fully, and Iberia and italy exist in 2 very different time periods.
      Medieval italy really only had Venice as a dominant culture center and was the closest to gothic and byzantine any thing.
      I'm not as familiar with spain but you can either choose the caliphate and moorish architecture, or christianzed spain, both if which dont rally mesh.
      And then the byzantines which.... kinda started this whole mess and are from a generation entirely different but also not really ????
      If they really wanted to find a good unifying style, they should have done what East Euro did to a semi successful result.
      Arguably all meditteranean architecture stemmed from the byzantines before the renaissance which brought life back to the the classical but then how do you rexoncilenthat with the Turkish influences in spain.

    It's amazing just how bad the original eastern europeon style was. It and the Mediterranean style looked like an amateur mod. The new style ends up being just about my favorite now.
    Unfortunately the "South East Asian" style is so busy with roof detail that it all looks like one big blob. It's really hard to visually tell the building apart.
