It's the type of potato/oil used that creates this color in this instance. They aren't burnt.

My favorite burger place, Five Guys, has they exact same looking fries and they are never burnt even a little and they are known for having freshly cooked fries. They use peanut oil to fry them
@jokesonu420 I worked at a shitty pizza place before and we changed the oil way too late and it did nothing to the color of the food being fried. You don't know what you're talking about.

Taylor McDonald that’s actually so unprofessional. I’d be fired if I did something like that. We have a 22” hot dog challenge where I work and people always ask me if the hot dog is good. I think it’s disgusting. There’s this weird skin. Like it’s cooked too long. But I have to lie and say it tastes good
