I am brand new to canvas painting. I just attempted my 2nd & 3rd yesterday. Every tip you gave was every mistake and problem I ran into. My paint dried out, my canvas was dry, my paint globbed, etc. These tips will be a game changer for me. You have no idea how much you helped. Thank you so much Sir!

Extremely helpful! I've learned all this the hard way. The odd part is that no other artists are telling anyone these things. I need to learn how to link your channel on other comments. A big issue that I don't see that explains things very clearly is artist grade paints, canvas types and brushes.

Keep the hints coming love your sense of humour being a beginner I do rinse my brushes as I go in my case I use a lot of brushes trying to get the right one but I wash out paint then into clear water wipe lay flat & when finished painting wash in QV genial wash then clean rinse dry with a hand towel squeezing out water then as you say lay flat & dry over night so I may not be able to paint but at least I do right by my brushes , no your hints are appreciated Clive, all the best Roger from down under Australia 🇦🇺👍🏻🤗

I use nylon brushes for ink drawing/painting. I found hair brushes lasted 5 minutes, even when I took care of them (painting in acrylics). Years of mistakes and mucking around with little reward has scared me off acrylics.
The water thing...people get previous about those stupid little tubes, which nobody should use, and trying to mix too many colours in the beginning. What i bought were the ready-mixed colours that are most useful.
For beginners, why not forego mixing more than two colours or values? People need to lose their fear of it.
Though some find water colours fiddly. I've never had any struggles with them, I find them almost too easy.

Great tips, as usual. Windex has ammonia and alcohol. Is that the same as the product you have in Wales?
Hand sanitizer and hair spray also have alcohol and work really well for getting paint out of clothes. If it's dried into your clothes, scrub some hand sanitizer in with an old toothbrush. I even got a small spot of paint off a shirt that had gone through the dryer.
