With regard to Vanessa's motivations: Fiske wasn't just fighting Spider-Man. He had him restrained and was choking and beating him. Not to mention, this man conducts himself as someone who absolutely expects his word to be law, he is brutal, and he gives no second chances-- we see this when he shoots and kills Uncle Aaron for defying him, when he attempts to intimidate Dr. Octavius (she doesn't let him get to her, but I'm looking at his behavior), and when he shows no qualms about beating a 14-year-old kid into the ground in the final fight. While it's clear that Fiske regrets what ended up happening, I have very little doubt that Vanessa had already seen enough of her husband's temper and his brittle, uncompromising need for control that when she saw the extent of his brutality, the only thing that made sense was to get out.

Fun fact, when he was first bitten by the glitchy radioactive spider, Miles movements were slow, kinda like a motion comic, though his movements became fluid once he "matured" near the end of the movie. 9:15, Mile's colors are at first green and purple which is the Prowler's theme, though it changed to red, and blue once he met Peter Parker.

What’s still peculiar to me is that they implemented comic books in a comic book film. It’s kinda ironic because that’s not something usually done with superhero comic book films which have become the norm.
The entire film itself is one massive comic book. From the speech bubbles to the text boxes to the panels to the splash art, it’s almost as if us the audience are flipping through the pages as we’re watching the film.
There are two sequels on the way. One coming this year is Across the Spider-Verse. Next year we’re getting Beyond the Spider-Verse.
Oscar Isaac voiced Miguel O’Hara/Spider-Man 2099 in the post credit scene, and he’s gonna have a prominent role in Across the Spider-Verse. That’s also where we’ll meet Jessica Drew voiced by Issa Rae.
There’s a Spider-Woman spinoff in the works with Gwen and Jessica expected to appear. They also plan to bring in Cindy Moon/Silk.
And finally, late musician Juice WRLD collaborated with Seezyn in the song called Hide. Juice would have been 24 today.

I respect this movie for respecting Spider-man. A lesser film would have made Peter B. Parker be this pathetic has-been who messes up and needs the new kid to remind him what it means to be a hero. This take's more subtle because the reason why Peter's personal life went down the drain was BECAUSE he was devoted to being an amazing Spider-man. Even with the extra weight, he still moves and fights and thinks flawlessly (glitching aside). By not dumbing down Peter, it also really elevates Miles to see him reach his mentor's level.

I don't think talking it out was Vanessa's first thought. First off, she just found out her husband is Spider-man's enemy which was supposed to be the good guy. Not to mention, Kingpin even claimed he was a friend of Spidey's.
But also just as important, she saw her husband was capable of that kind of violence. It definitely looked like Vanessa was terrified. I mean if you think about it, it IS terrifying. You suddenly realize this hulking giant you're married to wasn't so gentle after all. So her first thought was taking her son away from Kingpin.

Fun fact about this movie - there's no motion blur or focal lengths. The background has that chromatic effect wherever its out of focus. That's i think one of the main reasons why every frame looks like something out of a comic book.

13:40 no it's very difficult to have a family especially when you have responsibilities, if you have kids they might be in danger if they know you're spiderman, so it's not easy, yes you're strong and the spiderman but that doesn't mean that you're safe, you're love ones are safe, the example of that was when Peter Parker died, means it's more difficult for mary jane if they had a kid/s.

"Watching Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse for the first time was nothing short of a revelation for me. The animation is a stunning visual feast, blending different styles that mimic the feel of reading a comic book. Each frame is packed with detail, and the colors pop in a way that feels almost alive! I was pleasantly surprised by how deeply the story resonated-it's not just a superhero film, but a beautiful exploration of identity, responsibility, and the importance of family. The way Miles Morales' character develops and learns to embrace his powers is so relatable, especially for anyone who has ever felt different or out of place. The soundtrack complements the animations perfectly, echoing the youthful energy of the narrative. Overall, I walked away feeling inspired, excited, and already looking forward to my next rewatch. This movie truly sets a new standard for animated films and has left a lasting impression on me. Can't wait to dive deeper into the multiverse!"

There's a difference between fighting baddies and raising a family. Peter struggling to balance his hero and personal life is already enough of a recurring conflict in this franchise, adding parenting to the equation could be even more troubling.
That and there are certain Spidey comics were he and MJ try to get kids have a habit of not ending too well, for MJ especially.

"yOu CaN't rAiSe a KiD foR 18 yEaRs?" Spoken like a young man who doesn't have kids lol Do you know how hard raising kids is? He was afraid because of the danger that he would be putting his children in and having to balance being father with the massive responsibility of protecting the city and the world, that's a huge decision and would be hard for anyone. Running into a fight with criminals is much easier than raising children and being a good father under his circumstances

Something that always bothered me about this movie is that in Miles' dimension there was a Spider-Man comic explaining that dimension's Spider-Man's origin story, & yet no one knew that Spider-Man was Peter Parker before he died fighting Kingpin despite it being literally written down for them?

Within Marvel comics there are Marvel comics about Marvel superheros so it's less meta than it seems or as meta as the source material.
There's also two sets of comics, the first are just meta and no one is reading the Miles Morales comic in universe. The other does exist but we don't know there's anything that tells people who Spider-man is.
If you look at the comic panels the character of Peter Parker doesn't look like that universe's Peter Parker at all. You also don't see the character in the comics being called Peter Parker so there's no reason to think that the comic is accurate at all. Could just be fan merch someone is publishing without his involvement. If Peter is involved as long as he doesn't give them identifiable information no one would figure it out. He could even give misleading information to make it harder to figure out.
