Von performs at his debut EP release show in March 2014 at Rockwell Table and Stage, introducing a new mashup of his piano version and his rock version (the latter used when he opened for Lady Gaga in 2012) of Beyonce's "Halo", with a little reggae twist thrown in the middle.

I've really missed Von's presence on YT. As far as I can tell he's dropped out of sight. Where ever he is I'm sending him some love & peace and hope he's still joyfully singing for himself, family and friends at least.
Fantastic-having been the friend of a very famous Irish performer for many many years who passed away some years back, i had lost interest in music until i came across this boy by accident. He reminds me so much of my late friend, stage performance involving the audience, its one thing singing a song but another when you can see the performer actually enjoying it, his range is staggering,and his love of work shines through, keep up the good work....

YES! The only thing holding Von back, IMHO, is Freddie was way out there and not giving a shit what people thought about him. Talent wise, definitely Von is right there! That being said, there is something that makes me feel like Von is still holding back despite how free he is with this performance. I want to follow him and I hope music stays his love, his joy, and his passion. Likewise, I hope he finds all of the permission within himself that he needs to totally let it go. I think he's holding back because in so many videos I see of him he barely can bring himself to look at the audience when he is letting go. When he is reserved, no problem making eye contact and being *there* with other people, but when he is riffing, and totally taking artistic freedom with the music he closes his visual world by turning around away from the audience, by facing stage right and stage left instead of down stage, and his eyes are closed when he's in that free space. Maybe I am all wrong, very well could be, it's just an instinctive feeling, one gay man watching a young gay man. I have no idea if he is out, accepts himself, or if he has even realized it yet. He is an amazing soul, a true god-given talent - a talent that would be a sin to hide. Thank God he is on RUclips!
