People don't normally handle Omothymus Violaceopes (Singapore blue) because they tend to be quite defensive, and tarantula keepers really do not want to get bit, let alone handle one of these on purpose. I bet this is the first time he has handled this spider.
I used to be more afraid of spiders. But watching these types of youtubers/videos they don't scare me much now. But still big ones startlingly me is not possibly fatal to the spiders.

My guess would be the air conditioner. He said it was missing for 2 days, and in many videos he cranks the air up because its hot there. My guess would be it was too close to something when it powered up. (Hope I'm wrong, just an assumption)
