I really like my S4Max. I didnt want or need the mopping feature and this S4Max gives you all the performance but at a more affordable price...no issues at all and it does a great job...the navigation is amazing watching it move around the dinning room chairs the first few times ..it can clean my whole house 1300sqft in a about 104 minutes at max power with 20% battery left...my floors usually look spotless before I send it out, but its amazing how much dust and dirt it pulls from my hard floors every single time..I don't know where the dirt comes from..LOL I don't have any pets these days, but after experiencing the benefits of this S4 Max, I can't imagine having a dog or cat in the house without having machine like this to take care of the pet hair everyday til you pull the full size vacuum out on the weekend...I highly recommend this Roborock S4Max.
@@RobotMasters Thanks for your quick reply. spent 2 days searching all reviews and its all too confusing but I like how you explain. As a senior on a limited income and now have a hard time walking to use my upright vacuum I am trying to find a robotic vacuum I will be happy with. Decisions, decisions.
I love my S4 Max, I also brought it over to my mom's house and it cleaned her entire three bedroom house on max power and still had 45 percent battery life left. Roborock has replaced the S4 Max with the Q5 which adds the quick mapping feature and support for an auto empty station and a bit more suction power. I think Roborock and Ecovacs are the best robot brands at this point.
I am currently using the S4 non-Max model. Worth every penny of the $299 I paid for it. But, I'm using it on wool carpet and the bin tends to fill with wool fibers after each run - and runs are only about 900sf.
This is a great video, like all your others. I have just purchased a Roborock (finally) after viewing all your videos and others. Your help has been greatly appreciated.
Ecovacs will launch in late March the N9+, vac and mop combo robovac, plus a mop washing station. Excited to see the RR S7 too during that period. 360 also launched its new x100 Max with internal hidden front Lidar and dual dToF scanner. It has no protruding Lidar.
Interesting, the Shark AI and Rollibot Laser Eye had similar internal laser systems. They seem to do well with mapping and able to recognize small objects. Can't wait to see all the new models coming for 2021.
You should test this @ $217 might be the best deal for a robot vacuum This might be the best deal for a robot vacuum right now $217 360 S5 Robot Vacuum, LiDAR Mapping Technology, 2200Pa, Selective Room Cleaning, Schedule, Multi-Floor Mapping, No-Go Zones, Self Charge and Resume, Compatible with Alexa
Seems interesting, I had the Roborock S5 before start this channel. Really liked the Roborock S5, one of my first Lidar Based Robot Vacuums. I am currently in the process of testing the Moosoo R3 which is $209 with Lidar navigation, map saving and 2,000 Pa.
Trying to make a choice between Roborock S6 Max and the S360 S7. Are the Roborock's just that superior in construction ? Been watching your channel and its my first first robot vacuum. Help. 3500 sq/ft house Half carpet and half hard floors. Thanks
As terms of construction the Roborock and 360 are very similar. I have found both to be the best in navigation, if you are talking about the Roborock S6 MaxV with the two cameras, that robot will navigate better. I don't think you could go wrong with either model.
Does the Roborock S 4 do well on Oriental rug fringes? I have many varieties in our house. Do I have to 'map' around them or trust they will be cleaned and not eaten up?
Great Video as always! Can you try the Original ROOMBA and/or the Electrolux Trilobite? Also can you try the Samsung Navibot S with self-emptying base 🤔? I would love a nice, Humorous review on those Robots 😁!
@@RobotMasters The Samsung Navibot S is an old Self-Emptying Bin system, just like the Deebot D77. The Electrolux Trilobite is also EXPENSIVE at 1800 Dollars... and the ROOMBA FloorVac is only $199. Electrolux also has a newer robot vacuum called the pure i9. Hopefully you get to review the Electrolux pure i9 as well!
Have heard of the Electrolux, still have the D77. For now looking at the Roborock S7, also getting the w450 from iLife and a few of their other products too. Also working with some off brands too, so there a lot new products coming here!!!
Thank you for this review. I have been watching many You Tube videos on the robotic vacuums and this one was under my consideration. I am torn between this Roborock and a Roomba 960. I don't need a mop unit, and because of cost would rather have to clean out the bin myself. We have a short haired cat, so long hair is not an issue. Like your parents I am not tech savvy but I want a unit that goes between chairs in the dining room, so my guess is mapping is needed. How does this unit compare to a Roomba 960 ?
I would say the Roborock S4 or S4 Max are the best options for navigating around furniture. You can save some money going with these models over the ones with the electronic mopping systems. The 960 is ok at navigation
@@RobotMasters Your help is greatly appreciated and I have to ask ..Which is better at going in between chairs, since I have a carpet on top of hardwood flooring in my kitchen and dining room ? And in the kitchen I have my cats food and water bowl. So I am trying to find a unit that will navigate well and not to random cleaning. If you choose to tell me do you get any credit from me buying on Amazon.

From what I tested with combination style bristles and silicone brushes they tend to wrap hair around. Roborock S7 is including an all new Silicon brush which is similar to the to Roomba which resist hair less.

Great review, Nathan! Love the app screenshots, but best of all are the high speed clips navigating the whole room/area. Both are super useful.
