Yes it is! I went to plumbworld and they were super helpful. I actually met you in the boatyard in Nottingham whilst viewing a shell before I bought my first boat. Finding all of your videos super helpful now. Hope your floating is going well :)

Well, apart from the stress for drilling through the hull in the right spot, this episode was a walk in the park!
Lovely to see the grandchildren got involved in working with the plumber's Lego, these scenes make wonderful grandparents.
I missed a few funny remarks, so when the subtitles have been generated I'll play it again. I am not a native speaker and my ears are getting a bit old :-(

Another great job. Benefits of a slightly shallower sink, there’s no need for a pump. My kitchen/galley sink pump takes up the majority of the space in the cupboard. The grand kids doing a bit of experimenting. I agree with the decision on the tap; like it.

Another excellent job. I envy you those sinks though, and being able to put in the faucet before you installed the sink. It's a complete knuckle-buster to have to connect up the faucet behind a deep well sink that's already been installed.
I could see Grandad's perfectionism riled up by not being able to trim the flexible hoses to an exact length. I get the feeling he'd be tempted to replace them with copper just to get them perfectly fitted into place.
Thankyou, Yes the jury is still out whether he is going to change them or not. Depends if he is going to be able to sleep at night thinking about them 😆.

I would bet any boat building company would love to hire you your attention to detail and craftsman ship is amazing as always. And your teaching the little ones too. So enjoy watching them figure out how it all works. I bet they are more than ready to get on the boat and cruise. Sure they will look forward to summers and school breaks to spend time with you on the boat. I love how neat everything this behind the doors I get what he was not happy with about the water lines. Hi guys, great workmanship and explanations as always. Every time we see a hole being drilled into the side of a boat it scares the living daylight out of us! We are yet to make our first skin fitting hole 😱 good advice re position of plug hole facing stern, we will definitely keep that in mind.. you are so nearly there, we are so excited for you ❤️

These are the much more expensive ones so hoping they are ok
Question, would you tape over or plug the skin fittings if you did leave the boat for a long period of time? Just to keep small ‘critters’ from moving in? Really enjoy your videos and your efforts
Yes good idea. We have made some little bungs anyway for when we launch so could use them when we are away too to stop the critters. Glad you are enjoying the video's 👍
I know this vlog is old but I was wondering what size skin fittings you've used?
Hi. We've used 3/4" on Bilge pumps, Washing machine and Galley sink.
@@makinganarrowboatwithnannyandg Thank you for the reply, I used a 1,1/4" for the galley sink in the end as it was easier to find the fittings for a 38mm hose and it matched up to the old one. Will be using 3/4" for the rest though 👍
Where did you get the hose tail waste connection from? Any links you can share with us
Hello Liam, The one that came off the shallow bath trap was from screwfix (mcalpine wmf3 straight nozzle 1 1/2" white 45mm part number 5689p ). The other one that was on the drainer side we got from ASAP supplies (AG GRP straight hosetail 1 1/2 bsp male to 25mm hose ) It wasn't cheap for what it is but we needed it. Hope that helps 👍
Where did you get the u bend I have been looking for one like that for ages
Hello Colin. The u bend is a 40mm shallow bath trap from Screwfix. The code is 13034. You will also need a 40mm waste trap straight hose connector for washing mashine but we can't remember where we got that from. Will let you know when if we find it. Hope that helps 👍

@@makinganarrowboatwithnannyandg great thanks no the hose I already have it’s just that the pipe I have is a hotch botch of pipes that’s been there for the last 5 years since we got the boat and every year I have had to fix it cause it keeps on leaking then looking for narrowboat kitchens this time around I saw your video and the u bend you used and it was exactly what I needed.
Do you really need a trap when the water runs straight outside?
I can't tell you how many rings have been saved in the trap.
What's needed is a shutoff to prevent water from coming inside.
Hello Martin. Yes we could have done it like the drainer but that would have took the fitting too low. The trap kept it at just the right level

yes we thought about putting a now return valve in but the internal diameter of them are quite small if bits of food end up going down and it ends up getting blocked. Also the ones we have are quite long and space was very limited
