The Dino Commander is probably my favorite because it's the first one I imported. I always liked the braces that required more than just a button push to activate.
I will always love the Kakuranger's morpher the most...so efficient and rad...real metal coins (if i'm not mistaking) and just overall good quality control..which could be said for most of the Kakuranger merchandise =3. Good tribute Mr.CC.
After I saw your Dino Buckler and Dragon Buckler videos in mid 2010, I was inspired to save up to get my own Dragon Buckler. After a few failed attempts, I bought one in late 2010. A couple months later, I bought a Dino Buckler. Once I got those, I got an Aura Changer, Kiba Changer, Doron Changer, Power Brace, King Brace, Accel Changer, Digitizer, Battle Riser, and Keitaizer. What limits me from getting more are my lack of funds and room space, but I love what I have. :)
All of the Henshin toys were way expensive on some second hand stores even when some Power Rangers wouldn't think of it. Worst of all, it's all about the White Ranger in MMPR.
@benjisponge, Goranger and BFJ never had a henshin device, they literally jumped or spun around and boom they transformed and JAKQ had the human sized transformation capsules though I believe they were still released as a toy but they probably don't count as a henshin device. And the Denji Ring and Vulcan Brace were never released as toys sadly. :(
BFJ did have a wristworn device that could store their suit but it wasn't an actual transformation device, they still had to actually put the suit on. Japanese Spiderman was also that way. Think The Flash's ring.
I honestly enjoy any of the two piece ones. Anything that requires a secondary item to do it makes me smile for some reason. The Go-Buster sets also just seem nice due to the fact that they reference Power Rangers by saying "It's Morphin' Time." Since PR was such a big part of my childhood and now I'm watching Sentai and Kamen Rider, it's nice to see these little throwbacks and acknowledgements. Most of us I don't think would be watching this without Power Rangers at some point in our lives
My first changer was a Gold Ranger Zeonizer. I found it last year, worn out and banged up but still working! Since then I've only bought two more due to lack of funds: The Accellular and Gingabrace, but I love those both dearly too. Even with the new Gingabrace getting a little wear on it and chafing, it's so cool to own something like that. But I do love the two-part ones and (if I owned one) Rider Belts, but Change Braces will always hold a bigger spot in my heart for some reason.
When I grew up bootleg toys were all around me, all I could find were cheap toys with silly sounds, especially changers. It was not until 2010 did I buy the Accellular... well, actually the Overdrive tracker. Then I bought the Geki Changer, it was the very first Sentai changer I got in my life. The next year I got a Shift Changer for myself. It was fun, and I still play with it all the time. I planned to get more changers but their prices increased dramatically thanks to taxes and stuff...
I just looked at my transaction history to see how long it took me to collect them. I bought my Dragon Buckler on September 14, 2010 and I had everything else by February 2, 2011. So, it was actually within five months, lol. Also, I forgot to include my Mobirates and Gokai Cellular which I bought on December 27, 2011 when I got some extra cash for Christmas. To me, they were just too cool to pass up. I recently completed my sixth ranger Ranger Key collection for my Gokai Cellular! XD
I like the term Henshin device myself, though Sentai can get along without them, the pre 1982 shows are proof of that, but yeah henshin devices have become a major trademark in Super Sentai since then though.
When did you start collecting all this stuff? I'm 46 and I guess I first started becoming aware of this in the mid-80s because I was into anime & Godaikin robots. One time while I was doing a crawl around Manhattan I found some die cast figures for sale which at the time I fell in love with but had no idea what they were from. They were 2 Liveman figures (I still have them) I got at a store that mainly sold Gundam models. My cousin & I used to buy the big thick newsprint kiddie magazines from Books Nippon so we could study the toy ads. They often came with cardboard robots from different Sentai series that you could build & other cool stuff like sheets of cards with Sentai characters on them. I bought Daidenjin and Battle Fever J (the die cast toys) in the 80s & started getting a better idea of what the different sentai series were. It was really difficult to figure out because I don't speak Japanese & at the time all we had were pictures, boxes & a few magazines, the series was not even available to watch in any way. I was buying raw anime recorded from laserdisks on VHS a little later in the 80s, that we got at comic book conventions. It's amazing & awesome now to be able to see the old episodes on youtube! You have an incredible collection & I *_LOVE_* all the LCDs & Henshin gadgets! I collect some now but those old original ones are soooo cool. And yours all look like mint condition. Your video is what fans would call "henshin porn." LOL. Made me salivate a little. What is the one at 6:43 called?
Thanks ^^ I've been collecting for what seems like forever. I remember getting my first Dino Buckler for like $30 when it was new. Hahaa 6:43 is the Gogo Changer from Boukenger.
I haven't watched Boukenger yet. Do you also collect any henshin belts from Kamen Rider? I mostly collect robots, Godaikin robots were what originally got me into super sentai, once I realized they were all from Japanese tv shows. They were just marketed as toys in the U.S. there was no mention of what they originally came from. Leopardon is one of my favorite & I love the Japanese Supaidaman show. :)
***** I have some Henshin Belts. I have Skyrider, BLACK, and BLACK RX. I previously also had Kuuga, Agito, and cases of all of the Kiva Belts (got them for about $15 each clearanced and sold them on later for $100+ each). I did videos on the BLACK and RX Belt between 2008-2009. Yeah, I remember looking at those Godaikin toys on ebay years ago. The most surprising one to me was Machine Dolphin. It even came with a figure of Machineman. Crazy that such an obscure series had brief life in the US as a Godaikin toy.
***** I got Machine Dolphin for 15 bucks around 1989. I remember I _almost_ didn't want to blow my 15 bucks on it LOL. I left it in the box for awhile & the one day I took it out & it started to kinda grow on me, as silly as the design is. At the time I had no point of reference but I figured it was from a sentai-like series. I always thought the Winspector toy/gun sets were cool. I only saw them in magazines. I have a few Kamen Rider henshin belts but nothing extensive. It's a great series but I just love giant combining robots more :)
I wish they would have made it with an lcd screen that says fire. The us one is cool and I have it but would have cooler to get a Japanese one with the screen
my first one is the SPD License since Dekaranger is my Favorite Sentai of all time. Then I had to buy the Mobirates and Gokai Cellular because it was the anniversary changer and collector's item to.
Can AuraChanger's bar put into the KibaChanger's brace? If can, can it be vice versa? And then, Power Brace and King Brace , can they exchange the brace to play?
I'm curious as to what that white SP License is supposed to be. I haven't seen it documented anywhere else on the internet. Was it a special exclusive, or a custom job?
I'm guessing that the early ones had LCD displays because 1) they wanted to capitalize on Nintendo's Game&Watches, and 2) they knew no one would buy a bracelet that did nothing.
1. No. Digital everything was popular in the early/mid 80s, not just Nintendo. Bandai had a large LCD market share of their own from the late 70s to the mid 90s when they mercifully died out. I did kinda like the features of the Exceedraft toys, but it was time to die. They were capitalizing more on the digital watch craze over whatever the hell Nintendo was crapping out before the Famicom. 2. No again. It wasn't until the late 80s that they felt the need to stuff electronics into every toy that remotely has an action. The first four Sentai weapon boxsets (Dynaman-Flashman) didn't have electronics at all. I did a review of the Change Sword box last year and my Prism Shooter review from Flashman is coming up in about a week. Oh yes, and there were non-electronic Henshin Brace toys. They enjoyed popularity, but I suspect a lot of them didn't last because nobody bothered to keep the non-electronic toys safe. I own a few survivors like the pretty well sought after Goggle Brace (It's larger than the Anime Watch version). Might review it sometime.
just thought of that , is it me or BoukenSilver Morpher bracer is a bit or really based via Faiz's Accel Bracer Morpher? o_o i might just imagine that X"X
No worries. That one is understandable, and I had a debate with a few people when I was making this video whether or not it should be included. When people ask me about Timefire, though, it drives me crazy.
It was a sort of phone... Gun... Sunglasses.... Morphed, just realized how stupid that sounds when said out loud, that Beet buster and Stag buster use in Tokumei sentai Go buster.

For the millionth friggin time, I did not. There was no individual release of the V Commander, just a remote version included with V Rex Robo.

who's idea was it to make the morphers also wrist mounted shooters? cuz that guy is my fucking hero

Some of those first morphers looked more like fancy watches.
I have the ShodoPhone. Opening the box is my second most watched video.

I'm curious as to what that white SP License is supposed to be. I haven't seen it documented anywhere else on the internet. Was it a special exclusive, or a custom job?
It was a TVKun contest prize. There are weird ones out there like the red Zyusouken and exclusive mecha.
Well that would explain it. I suppose that means I'd have my work cut out for me if I was gonna go out and find one.
@@ThomatoSauce Good luck. I've only ever seen two in my life and only one for sale. Mine was a gift from a savvy friend.

you have to admit that they did a great job with it, not much different then the original
