My thought was that Sylvie remembered in the previous episode because she just used the TemPad to leave before the loom's explosion hit the TVA while the other people got "reset" Like how she used it to escape the spaghetti record store I think she was just suspicious of how much he knows when he shouldn't have that knowledge
The Loki we first met had nothing but contempt for freedom and free will and was happy to take life in order to snuff that out in favor of his own will. Now he’s sacrificed himself so that life and it’s free will have a chance to survive and grow. He finally grew up thanks to his friends and found redemption. Arguably the best character arc in the franchise.
Definitely right up there with Wandavision. Like there were a fair few bad Disney+ shows, and the movies have been kinda meh since endgame, but these two shows were amazing
Hiddleston’s performance as Loki may be some of the most beautiful and immersive acting. For someone who was always a big Loki fan, I can’t imagine a better actor for the role.
it will be the tva teaming up with deadpool and wolverine after their movie. we’ll have to see what other heroes they recruit. for sure deadpool, wolverine, and tobey maguire
Yup he'll be able to astral project his double off the throne and pinpoint avengers level heroes in the timelines he's holding. I'm gonna guess we'll see his first recruitments in the deapool 3 movie.
Who ever wrote the music and the cinematographer on this is a genius. It elevated the scenes so much. And Tom Hiddleston deserves an Emmy nomination for his performance tonight!
That part when Loki freezes Sylvie and he says "and what makes you think we haven't had THIS conversation before?" gave me the chills. Such an epic moment. Also, the way they portrayed He Who Remains in this episode made him seem so much scarier yet interesting. I loved that whole scene with the two of them.
This show is 10/10. Production is so much better than most movies. direction, editing, SFX, Acting, writing, costumes, sound design, score. Just perfect. The shot of morbius looking at his home is so moving that I cried.
When Thanos said “ the hardest choices require the strongest will” I felt that in this episode. This finale was absolutely heartbreaking and so incredible at the same time. Loki did really fulfill his glorious purpose. And this quote from thanos just sum it up for me
For real bruh 💯 He finally gets the throne he wanted. Just no longer selfishly but for the benefit of countless other lives. Mobius choosing to stay a bit and watch time past as Loki watches him through time 😔 What a send off.
MARVEL… please listen to us! This is what we want!!! This story, this character development, this continuity, this empathy, this action, this heart gripping look into the difficulty and tragedy of becoming something and someone truly great that we can truly love… is beyond words. That was a masterpiece of symphonic storytelling that was truly moving. Bravo 👏 well done MARVEL!!! 🙌
Is like a rack of comics in a store when you're a kid you can pick one that you like the rest might not speak to you beard cup of tea. This show is most like Andor in Star Wars, highbrow.
His smirk on the throne was because his friends are happy. I think he can see everything happening. It cuts from Möbius smiling to him smiling. That’s how I took it.
Yep that's how i understand it, the conversation between mobius and sylvie echoes through the timeline where loki can here and see everything and smirking cuz he knows they miss him and weirded out that he was not there physically.
I’d say it’s more a smirk about how he won, everyone said his story was to lose and in the end he won and also coming to accept his new responsibility about being alone but serving his glorious purpose
It’s less a smirk and more a smile of resignation. There’s also a single tear that rolls down his cheek. He’s sacrificed himself for his friends the way iron man did at the end.
Just finished this series and just want to say what an amazing show this was. Hands down the best finale of the Marvel Disney+ shows ever!!!. Also wanted to point out the difference between how kang was able to stop time and how Loki stopped time. Kang did so through his device while Loki did so just with a flick of a finger. This goes to show that at the end of the day kang is just a man with advanced technology and can control time using his tech, genius intellect, and being advanced meanwhile Loki now having that knowledge of time science and technology combined with his powers as a god. That helped Loki to find a third option that kang could not since he was just a man
I've thought about this and imho it showed how Kang essentially sacrificed the multiverse to protect himself, while Loki sacrificed himself to protect the multiverse. How Kang is afraid of all the alternate timelines and therefore raises physical barriers between himself and the timelines - not just by using tempads, but also by being hidden in the Citadel, while Loki becomes one with the timelines, literally touches them and sits out in the open, protecting them with his body and magic. It's the perfect metaphor - they end up having the same powers, but use them in the opposite ways.
Exactly, thank you. They're not at the same level. I know it's shown that Loki broke the cycle, but if we're looking at the bigger picture, this is still exactly how it probably played out in the past. Loki becomes the god of stories which allows the Multiverse to thrive, which brings about a Multiversal War, which brings about the Kang variant who becomes He Who Remains by taming Alioth (with Renslayer) to most likely take out Loki and create the sacred timeline all over again. I'm willing to bet that He Who Remains' special tempad is actually based on the Science/Fiction/Magic behind Loki's innate ability to manipulate time. The actual break of this cycle won't come until Secret Wars because that will be the point in which the multiverse continues instead of resetting into the Sacred Timeline we've watched since Iron Man 1.
I completely disagree. It's not that Loki found a third option. He is still acting in the binary parameters set by He Who Remains: either help me, or you'll be swarmed by my Variants. Loki chose to take his chances with the Variants. He armed the TVA with knowledge about them, and the TVA seems to be able to keep it under control... for now. But by the time Kang Dynasty rolls around, it's obvious the TVA will have failed. We know the heroes will win, so He Who Remains will be proven wrong that his Variants can't be stopped - but I sincerely doubt it will be by Loki's hand, sadly.
He who remains wanted Loki to be on the thrown at the end of time. Although it ended as a choice of lokis own free will I wonder why he who remains chose him
I feel like they should leave it as it is. Any Loki that appears in future movies should be a variant, and leave Loki Who Remains to enjoy his throne. Bringing him back wouldn't make much sense, and he would be far too OP to make any threats even feel threatening. They have gave this Loki a fantastic story and tied up his redemption arc in a nice little bow, they just need to leave it alone now, focus on other things.
"You know you can't get to the end until you've been changed by the journey" Loki was always destined to do this. What an arch this character has, truly amazing story telling.
@@markdaly1648He didn't want a throne. He always wanted a higher purpose as a god, to be recognised, to be special like Thor. The bittersweet moment at the end is despite everything he went through, he still ended up a throne he didn't want but sacrificed himself for his friends. ❤ Perfection.
Yeah on one hand I wouldnt mind On the other hand it would just be weird if all this other multiversal stuff shows up and he just never appears again, so he most definitely will. Especially because Kang is gonna work his way into the multiverse anyways, and Loki might try to prevent that?
To me THIS is what Marvel needs to be!!! Fantastic show with just the perfect balance of drama, storytelling, humor, vfx, and character development. MORE OF THIS PLEASE!!
I was really hoping loki could finally be able to have peace & hang out with his friends but now that he experienced that love for them he understood he had to sacrifice his wants in order for them to be able to have everything he wanted! Loki finally Grew into what Odin & Frigga always knew he could be!
He Who Remains saying “see you soon” was so ominous. I mean, it gave me chills!!! But, IMHO, Loki is definitely the BEST production to come outta MARVEL to date!!!
Loki is the best series Disney has put out altogether. Both seasons failed to disappoint and Tom Hiddleston is easily one of the best actors I’ve ever seen. His range is incredible. To create a character as dynamic as Loki, exhibiting every emotion from joy to pain, in a manner that is suitable for children and also captures adults is unmatched. Of all the series from marvel to Star Wars Loki is by far the best Ive seen from Disney in a while
Loki made the hard choice and that’s why he got the big chair. Excellent episode! Excellent performances! What a way to end a series. I truly FELT the weight of this episode!
I don't think the smirk at the end was about him on a throne rather I would like to believe he was just happy to see Mobius finally give his real life a shot just like Loki was asking him to earlier in the season. Beautiful ending!
I took his little smirk as his noting the irony of no longer wanting the throne but getting one, not wanting to be alone but having to be in order to save the timelines. Plus he seemed to hear Sylvie and Mobius' conversation so he knows he made the right call. The whole thing is SO bittersweet.
I'm really glad the "burdened with glorious purpose" line finally paid off. This episode instantly became my favorite thing that has come out of the MCU.
23:42 The 616 adjacent universe Kang was definitely the Antman version of Kang. Adjacent meaning the Quantum universe that that Kang resided in. Originally Antman comes from the 616 and he's goes into the Quantum Realm or whatever to deal with that version of Kang, essentially still in 616 though.
Damn Guess I should have checked comments b4 I said this exact thing. Yes I would say adjacent meant 616 quantum realm kang and they took care of it because they defeated him
That scene where Loki finally gets his cape and horns back had me literally screaming at the screen. Ive been waiting forever for Loki to get his Asgardian God costume back.
When Loki says “I know what kind of god I need to be for you, for all of us” 😢its almost the same line he said in the first Thor movie when he was hanging on the bridge talking to his father 😭❤
Agreed. I just hope this doesnt become an Andor situation where they finally make an A class tier show but then the follow up project completely ruins that by being awful. In Andors case that was the Mandorian season 3. Hopefully the marvels terribleness doesnt overshadow Loki season 2
Loki can multiply himself so I think he can be in any universe he wants to be in now. He can be on his throne anchoring the multiverse while also moving in and out of it freely.
Yes he can have vessel oh himself enter any universe he wants. His ultimate power now is just knowledge & being able to prevent the destruction of the multiverse by Kang.
I liked how they were showing Loki what Odin had been trying to tell him/teach him. That the throne is a burden filled with pain and sacrifice and “there’s no comfort” as Mobius said. The same lesson Thor had to learn, going from a spoiled son who acted like he was owed a throne, to a humble one who had gone thru so much pain to realize it’s not only a burden but an honor and one he hopes to live up to.
I needed quiet time after seeing the finale. It was such a deep and beautiful concept to complete the season. And simultaneously, completely blows the story wide open as far as possibilities moving forward. Congratulations to Tom Hiddleston for this marvelous multilayered performance!!!
My favorite moment was just before he went on to become God of Stories Loki, when he time slipped into himself and Timely scanned himself and the computer said the moment Loki came welcome He who Remains. Goosebumps, honestly. A banger of a show that actually gives me hope for some tiny chance of Marvel being good again.
I saw this while eating my breakfast, seeing him on the throne just got me clapping my hands without noticing. We all miss Marvel, real Marvel and I hope they will comeback.
As Morbius beautifully put in this episode "Purpose caries more burden than glory." And fulfilled his glorious purpose and will now bear the burden for the entire multiverse. Really good writing!😊
The "616-adjacent" universe was definitely referencing Quantumania, whether they used "adjacent" to refer to the movie events vs the comic events, or because the quantum-realm is considered a universe all its own but still tied to a branch, is kind of up for interpretation. I also see the smirk Loki gives at the end trying to imply that Loki can see Mobius and is happy for his friends as they scatter about the branches, but it could just as well be that he is giggling to himself about how the "burden" he chose (as Mobius puts it) happens to be the glorious purpose he has always sought, but only after he gave up looking for it. The credits scene, where someone is looking at all the files of the characters, it makes more sense that it would be He Who Remains' thumb, as he is the orchestrator of all of these events and has planned it all out.
Beethoven's Fifth is actually known as the Fate Symphony which is why it is used here. The repeating four notes are often characterized as "fate knocking at the door". No matter what Loki does, the loom is fated to overload.
Loki's arc was so well executed by Hiddleston, but it was only because writers did such an incredible job putting together such an engaging story. So many great stories begin with the question,"Who am I?" This series answered that in such a magnificent fashion for our beloved Loki
I think in the last scene. Loki's face showed that I was kind of satisfied that he saved the multiverse and the people here cared about, and sad at the same time, by taking that burden. Also he did not make his thrown on purpose, rather it just happened to be that way (simultaneously symbolising that he got the thrown)
After rewartching episode 6, I noticed that when Loki uttered the words, "for you, for all of us," Mobius and Sylvie responded with a heartfelt "No! Loki!" These were the identical words Odin once used in a distinct context when Loki faced the abyss of a wormhole. This striking portrayal illustrates the power of language, showcasing how identical words can carry diverse meanings. While Odin used them to reject Loki, Mobius and Sylvie expressed genuine concern and care for him.
Yes! Loved this :) And also, the fact that he walks away from the 'No!' 'Loki!' of Mobius and Sylvie, just as he lets go after the 'No, Loki' of Odin - but this time, he does it out of love and not despair / hatred ❤
After seeing how good this show's character development of Loki was i kinda wanna go back and see all the Thor movies to see how Loki has evolved from a selfish trickster god prick to the god of time. Then i remember that those movies were pretty bad and i dont want to torture myself with seeing them again. :)
Loki was outstanding! Loki is truly burdened with glorious purpose. I like the parallel between Loki becoming the God of Stories being central to the multiverse as the hero and Kang being the central villain. Both are powerful and highly intelligent, and each mischievously work to out maneuver the other. Now I can see why HWR chose Lokis as his replacement to head the citadel at the end of time. This show was thoroughly enjoyable and phenomenal, as were your breakdowns.
Well why did HWR chose loki to replace him? I still dont understand that, he want to win right? He wants to have one sacred timeline? He will always come back? No?
@@Dhieen I think, looking back on the final episode of Season One, HWR really wanted to retire and get out of the game altogether. I think he was being truthful when he said that.
@@purple12334i agree with you that he was being truthful, the way i undestood is that he basicly made the sacred time line to prevent all of his "evil" variants to keep on doing a multiversal war. But he was tired of it, imagine he spend eons there on the rock of eternity just preventing every event that would turn into a branched time line where one of his variants could get freed of the loop and cause war. one way or the other he wanted to pass the job along. He literally said to loki you can brake the loom, but doing so you are going to free a infinite ammount of me and you are going to have to deal with a multiversal war, so that is literally the worse option you have. He was being pragmatic... One way or the other Loki would have to lose, he would either have to lose his friends or his freedom and in the worse case scenario, lose his freedom and have to deal with the council of kangs which could still cause his friends to die. In the end Loki decided for the last option as he rather have his friends having their freedom and a change to fight for it (as sylvie wanted).
It's super ironic that he wanted to sit on the throne all his life but keeps on failing, and when he no longer wants the throne, he was given it. And gloriously at that. What a redemption!
A couple things people miss: 1: The second edition of the TVA hand book says is wrote by OB and Victor Timely. So Victor (Kang) is still possibly about. 2: If the TVA is pruning all the kangs. We know that it brings them do the location wher Renslayer is. So essentially they're just bringing all the Kangs together. Further to this, i think its too much of a coincidence that in Renslayers final shot it shows the pyramid. This could mean the TVA already pruned Kang Rama-tut and Renslayer will meet up with him
You just gave me an idea 💡 In the comics Kang has a variant of Ravonna called Revelation who runs his army in chronopolis. A variant of Ravonna who has already met and knows Kang has already swore loyalty to his cause. Even though we meet her first I think she’s just a more militant variant of, the love of Kangs life, Ravonna. & She’s now in a place where (if) she can tame Alioth, she can run that entire void at the end of time and when all these Kangs that the TvA prune get there she can be the “Revelation” for Kang about what he has to do and the “who i need to be” line he says in Quantumania. Hell for all we know we could get the secret war that HWR was talkin about in the void, between a bunch of already pruned Kangs, fighting over Alioth and Ravonna. He does mention this is the end of everyone and everything maybe because the battle wasn’t for the future, it was for the past from the perspective of someone already at the end of time. Then after Prime Kang comes out on top he won’t just prune down to the sacred timeline like the original HWR, it’ll be a battleworld for it. Winners will go on to be cast in the new universe lol okay the last part is a lil messy, honestly can’t theorize too far ahead but we’re pretty close in theory here so I think we’re onto something.
I like the overall story of Loki, how he always wanted to be a king & he finally got it but it wasn’t the way he thought it would be. Basically a be careful what you wish for.
The thing is, Loki never really wanted to be a king, he wanted a place to be and not be alone. He always thought that being a king was the way to get those, but he realize now what true friends are. Hence why he eventually said that a throne is the last thing he wanted now.
"careful what you wish for." Is the mindset of still playing the game set out by someone else. This is REALLY about the in-between of Die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. How OG Loki died at the end of time for "glorious purpose" after a long time of self exile. Loki showed that if you want to live as a hero. A god. A king. "With great power comes great responsibility"
Thats why black adam was BEYOND HORRIBLE LMFAO. Oh, and didnt they literally have to remake a movie? Yeah.. Don't get me wrong. I'm a dc fan as well but they are trash and have been for sometime. @@epzo
I took the smirk when he was on the throne to be him having some satisfaction that he finally came to somewhat of a resolution after thousands of years.
Loki has been a fantastic series - I think it helps that it feels kinda disconnected from the rest of the MCU and focusses on Loki’s character development (with the TVA making for a good explanation for the disconnect)
Loki gives me hope the MCU can turn this around and bring this phase of projects to a satisfying conclusion. Let the writers of this play a part in crafting Kang Dynasty/Secret Wars!
I interpreted the smile at the end that he could see Mobius and Silvie having that conversation, he was happy Mobius finally looked at his life and Silvie was going to start seeing the world instead of just existing in apocalpses.
Love how his transformation of the timeline into Yggdrasil is like a callback to how he grew up on Asgard and would’ve been told the old tales of the nine realms and the tree of life. Like an homage to his family
This finale was pure epic awesomeness, it was poetically beautiful. Loki's char has grown so much. Also, happy that Morbius will go see what he's been fighting to preserve. Well deserved. Also, Loki better be the one who gathers the Multiversal Avengers. Man, this made me proud to be a fan of Marvel again. Best thing Marvel has put out in forever.
I think that it’s BECAUSE Loki has become so powerful that he can’t intervene too much. He has to dedicate most of his power and concentration on constantly monitoring and sustaining the multiple timelines. If he stops to try and intervene in anything for too long, it’s probably putting timelines in danger, so he just doesn’t intervene directly and let’s the TVA and others handle it. ~_~
I love how Loki turns the Multiverse into the World Tree, Yggdrasil. Which is not only connected to his Norse Mythos, but also acts as a visual representation of how the Multiverse and Timelines work in the MCU. It branches out and those branches lead to more branches, like a tree branch.
Very true! If you think about it, the Loom never made any sense. It's taking all the branches and trying to compress it into a thread, which doesn't work if the branches are infinite. But the Loom was never intended to manage the different timeline, it was ALWAYS designed as a way to suppress the other timelines. A mythical tree doesn't have that issue, it is indeed a different equation.
@@Cakemagic1 Yeah exactly, also the fact that the Tree is kinda symbolic of a more natural to contain the multiverse rather than the Loom which is Mechanical and restricts it
Loki Season 2 is the Marvel project that Marvel actually got right for once. EVERY episode mattered, the story kept you hooked week to week. And if this was the last we see if Loki (Hiddleston) in the MCU, this ending was both poetic and satisfying for me as a viewer. Haven't felt that way since Endgame. Bravo!!
The ending actually made me really sad, Loki finally had friends, people he trusted and loved, and now he's alone, it just makes me sad, I wanted him to be happy
he’s not really alone, his power flows thru all of time and i’m sure he can see is freinds. he was already a god before but now he’s like a capital G God
I love that they tried to keep close to Norse mythology, by having Loki become maker of the Yggdrasil the World Tree. Loki being a Norse god, and Yggdrasil being a Norse myth has a cool connection inside it. Also did anyone notice that Loki looked a lot like the 3-Eyed Raven from Game of Thrones? Stuck inside a tree forever.
This episode may well be the single best project Marvel has ever produced. Simply breathtaking. Can’t wait to see what’s next!! As always, thank you, Charlie!
I think that old Loki’s conversation with Loki had a real impact on him and there’s a real connection between their conversation about how old Loki got caught by the TVA and what happened in the finale and foreshadowing what’s to come… “ I got lonely..”
Technically he isn't alone, he can view endless timelines and probably live with them on a level. I would like to think he will take control of a variant within one of these timelines and life a life, while simultaneously controlling the multiverse.
I was kind of disapointed with the first episode of the season, but man, i was stunned by the quality of all the other episodes. The final had everything in it to be the best final of a Disney+ serie yet. Truly glorious ! I'm wondering now, how can they use Loki in other movies and series if his role is so important ?
Loki S2 delivered nothing less than a masterpiece. So beautiful, original, creative, insane, risky, vigorous, heartfelt, far beyond, important. Masterfully acting especially from Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino & Owen Wilson. Episode 6: words can't even describe its greatness..... A real marvel in every way. Brilliant
Great episode. Blew my mind. Timely calls him a wizards, as Loki plays out the wizard archetype. The final conversation between Loki and mobius felt like catharsis of a relationship and life. Well done.
What an insane finale. Insane season. Insane show. Loki is now the most OP character in the MCU. Anything can happen next. This is the type of story-telling and quality I hope from Marvel.
It was a brilliant finale. Great cinematography and it was so cool to see Loki solve the TVA issue and actually form a time Ygdrassill and save the multiverse. The most important thing they did though, was character development. From original villian, to the spoilt brat lost brother, to comedy relief, and ending as an actual hero, becoming the god king he always wanted to be. Bitter sweet, and a great supporting cast, even though hardly any other heroes. They need the MCU films and TVshows to be more like this. Good cinematography (doesnt always need to be lots of CGI) and good character development.
the thing to note is there is a difference between power and ability. if loki's role is as a sort of overseer then he'd only intervene if (or rather when) a threat to ALL the timelines emerges. otherwise any threats that are localised to their timeline are destened to happen. basically he has the "power" to do what he wants, but he is choosing not to overstep; else he will end up being no better than Kang was
Such a good ending. Totally hit the landing. I love he made the World Tree. I think the 616 Adjacent was the quantum realm given they totally seemed to be referring to him, and that they didnt need to do anything as it was sorted - soft confirming that Kang is dead.
This episode like all had me shocked the whole time. Slowly realizing everything Loki does at the same time as him was great! Kind of reminded me of the what if episode with Dr Strange, spending centuries doing something. But instead of a selfish reason, it was for everyone.
"He Who Remains" was behind it all along. He knew it all. Even Miss Minutes when she told Victor Timely that he will never become "him". At the end I believe Renslayer is not in the void with just Alioth but Kang-He Who Remains. I think He Who Remains also knew Loki couldn't bring himself to kill Sylvie.
Loki found is glorious purpose!! Tom did an amazing job!! His facial expression said everything. He seems sad, hopeful, and feels he truly has purpose!
Loki has always been my favorite MCU character- seeing him find a place and people he belongs with, only to leave them forever to fulfill his glorious purpose, has cemented him as the best arc for me. I want them to release the finale in theaters so I can watch him becoming Yggdrasil on the big screen 😢

I actually teared up at the end of this season. The best part is seeing his arc and his self exile to save his friends, truly a great ending.
That hurts😢.
He got his throne sadly
God you’re such a loser
Loki caring about other people? what madness is this? what in the 7 hells!? loki only cares about loki
That helped Loki to find a third option that kang could not since he was just a man
Well written 💯
Although it ended as a choice of lokis own free will I wonder why he who remains chose him
I don't think there will be another season of Loki..but he will definitely play a part in the future of mcu
He brought life back to the MCU
It’s already confirmed there’s no 3rd season.
@@JM-fr5geThey didnt. S2 is meant to have a definitive end but it was said they are thinking of a 3rd season and wont deny it at the moment

Yeah on one hand I wouldnt mind
On the other hand it would just be weird if all this other multiversal stuff shows up and he just never appears again, so he most definitely will. Especially because Kang is gonna work his way into the multiverse anyways, and Loki might try to prevent that?
His story ends here cuz he finally got his throne and found his glorious purpose
As much as i want Loki season 3, this is a perfect arc to Loki's journey through TVA, and a perfect way to end his story personally

I truly FELT the weight of this episode!
I don't think the smirk at the end was about him on a throne rather I would like to believe he was just happy to see Mobius finally give his real life a shot just like Loki was asking him to earlier in the season. Beautiful ending!
Why not both !
I took his little smirk as his noting the irony of no longer wanting the throne but getting one, not wanting to be alone but having to be in order to save the timelines. Plus he seemed to hear Sylvie and Mobius' conversation so he knows he made the right call. The whole thing is SO bittersweet.
@@bperez8656 it wasn’t a smirk I agree it was an emotional smile. Poor choice of words
Wow what a finale, Loki is literally holding the whole multiverse together with his own hands

Originally Antman comes from the 616 and he's goes into the Quantum Realm or whatever to deal with that version of Kang, essentially still in 616 though.
exactly thjis.
I came here to say this. That's exactly what I took from that: the "Quantum Realm" of the films is "adjacent" to the regular 616 universe.
Someone got it 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I thought that antman is earth 199999
Damn Guess I should have checked comments b4 I said this exact thing. Yes I would say adjacent meant 616 quantum realm kang and they took care of it because they defeated him
That scene where Loki finally gets his cape and horns back had me literally screaming at the screen. Ive been waiting forever for Loki to get his Asgardian God costume back.
Loki is pure poetry. The character development is Cheff's kiss.
When Loki says “I know what kind of god I need to be for you, for all of us” 😢its almost the same line he said in the first Thor movie when he was hanging on the bridge talking to his father 😭❤

Long time since I’ve been this excited for the future of Marvel. The acting and storytelling in the finale was superb. Can’t wait for Deadpool!
Agreed. I just hope this doesnt become an Andor situation where they finally make an A class tier show but then the follow up project completely ruins that by being awful. In Andors case that was the Mandorian season 3. Hopefully the marvels terribleness doesnt overshadow Loki season 2
I hope this is the start of Marvel finally making good finale episodes. They gave Loki an amazing journey and can’t wait to see what’s next.

Wym?? Secret Invasion was one of the best finales id ever seen 🤓😂 jk
@@w1l827 I can't believe you said that 😂
Loki can multiply himself so I think he can be in any universe he wants to be in now. He can be on his throne anchoring the multiverse while also moving in and out of it freely.
Gawd I hope so because that's an awful fate to put yourself through.
Yes he can have vessel oh himself enter any universe he wants. His ultimate power now is just knowledge & being able to prevent the destruction of the multiverse by Kang.
I loved his transition from his tva uniform to his comic book accurate look
Loki had Possibly the greatest arc ever written for any show or character…EVER!!! This was beautiful!!
Except Mortal Kombat already did this with Liu Kang.
@laverdadescatolica5who?
Lol Morbius is the vampire
That's why I don't think Loki was smirking. It was a mix of sorrow and triumph. He did it but it cost him everything.
@@caroline10081yeah for me it was a slight smile but it was a sad smile like “least I got what I wanted in the end”
Honestly Owen Wilson performance in Loki so far has been unreal arguably some of his best performances as an actor.
So many great stories begin with the question,"Who am I?"
This series answered that in such a magnificent fashion for our beloved Loki
I think in the last scene. Loki's face showed that I was kind of satisfied that he saved the multiverse and the people here cared about, and sad at the same time, by taking that burden.
Also he did not make his thrown on purpose, rather it just happened to be that way (simultaneously symbolising that he got the thrown)
Loki holding all the timelines together just gave chills man
It gave me an erection,i don't know if that's a bad thing or not
dude - same here - like i sat there with goosebumps
The storytelling for this show is incredible. Do this, Marvel, with everything.
Noticed that too! ❤
@@MarcSiqueira Very well stated!
It's super ironic that he wanted to sit on the throne all his life but keeps on failing, and when he no longer wants the throne, he was given it. And gloriously at that. What a redemption!
A couple things people miss:
1: The second edition of the TVA hand book says is wrote by OB and Victor Timely.
This could mean the TVA already pruned Kang Rama-tut and Renslayer will meet up with him
Right they where pruning bad guys to build kangs army! 😳
Omg I didn’t even think about that 🤯
You just gave me an idea 💡
In the comics Kang has a variant of Ravonna called Revelation who runs his army in chronopolis.
L show DC better
"careful what you wish for." Is the mindset of still playing the game set out by someone else.
This is REALLY about the in-between of
Die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. How OG Loki died at the end of time for "glorious purpose" after a long time of self exile.
Loki showed that if you want to live as a hero. A god. A king. "With great power comes great responsibility"

"I doing it for you, for all of us". That was a line he had in the first Thor movie. Incredible ending. I love it when Marvel connect things like that

@@daenerystargaryen6302 it's an empty argument, then.

He has to dedicate most of his power and concentration on constantly monitoring and sustaining the multiple timelines.

@ZomPaulyeah sad, he will see Thor but Thor won't see him
I love how Loki turns the Multiverse into the World Tree, Yggdrasil.
@@Cakemagic1 Yeah exactly, also the fact that the Tree is kinda symbolic of a more natural to contain the multiverse rather than the Loom which is Mechanical and restricts it

so sad to see Loki all alone for the rest of time, just holding the branches together 😢
Technically he isn't alone, he can view endless timelines and probably live with them on a level. I would like to think he will take control of a variant within one of these timelines and life a life, while simultaneously controlling the multiverse.

What an insane finale. Insane season. Insane show.
Loki is now the most OP character in the MCU.

I want this more than any other outcome. I want Thor to see how much his brother has changed. 🥹
Not only has Loki surpassed Odin's godhood but unlike Odin who built his throne on the blood of others, Loki built his through self-sacrifice
Thor will be even more powerful but not as impactful as Loki
I cannot speak to how absolutely amazing this episode was. I wish I was at a watch party to enjoy this with other people
Nice!
The image of the branches being pulled into Yggdrasil was amazing. The thoughts that went into this show was what made the early marvel stories good.
the thing to note is there is a difference between power and ability. if loki's role is as a sort of overseer then he'd only intervene if (or rather when) a threat to ALL the timelines emerges. otherwise any threats that are localised to their timeline are destened to happen. basically he has the "power" to do what he wants, but he is choosing not to overstep; else he will end up being no better than Kang was
Great observation
I think this is it. Loki wanted people to have a choice and a chance to exist. Fixing anything but the bare minimum, would go against that decision.
I agree, a big conversation with him and Sylvie was free will. So him intervening all the time would defeat the purpose.
He is kinda the new watcher from what if

"He Who Remains" was behind it all along. He knew it all. Even Miss Minutes when she told Victor Timely that he will never become "him". At the end I believe Renslayer is not in the void with just Alioth but Kang-He Who Remains. I think He Who Remains also knew Loki couldn't bring himself to kill Sylvie.
What really makes Loki more powerful is that he learned mechanics physics and engineering for centuries
Loki found is glorious purpose!! Tom did an amazing job!! His facial expression said everything. He seems sad, hopeful, and feels he truly has purpose!
Amazing acting and amazing writing. They nailed the Loki series and the finale was humorous, gripping, intense and was perfectly executed.
