Thank you so much for doing PROPER Switch tests! Everyone I see doing Switch tests on this or comparable hardware just launches Metroid Dread or Mario Bros U at 1x resolution and talks about how this isn’t a switch device (which ofc it isn’t). But doing actual downscaling tests is SO APPRECIATED!
For me, I get excited just getting something to run and pushing the hardware as much as I can. I think I have fun doing that more than anything. 😅🤗 Yea, I always have to state that Switch is a bonus which it is but still lots of fun to try out.
@@retrotechdad yeah downscaling has *so much* potential to squeeze frames out of devices so I’m glad you’re investigating that option As for F-Zero GX, I believe people have gotten it to perform at full speed native on the original Pocket 3+, so despite Dolphin being Snapdragon-focused I think the future there is bright! One suggestion: I’d love to see multiplayer Mario Kart Wii! I think it would be super fun to play splitscreen with friends, even with partially downscaled resolution. I’d love to see if you could get that working in a video in the future! Thanks for bringing us this content
I'm my experience, on these smaller screens, going to .75x or even .5x and turning on AMD Superscaling makes it look super crisp for 3D games. Text will always be hit or miss depending on the game. But I've even seen very little FPS fluctuation with Docked mode turned on when downscaled. And that's on a KTR1 with a G99.
Test Windwaker with HD texture packs, really want to know if those 8gb can handle better textures on this game. And from switch indie games like dredge and eastward would be cool to see runing, maybe the last 2D metroid would also be nice for a review video.
Your reviews are some of the very best on youtube, i'm looking forward to the in depth review. According to what i saw in reviews, I'm very disappointed in it's battery life. Will you be doing the low end+ high end battery life tests as usual? If yes, please let the fan turned off, as the fan alones consumes 400ma.
Keep in mind he almost exclusively checked out the VERY problematic emulation games here. The vast majority of ps2/gc should be able to do full speed at 2 or 3x. I don't wanna throw numbers out but from my experience I would guess 90% or more

What a great detailed video! I'm new to the handheld scene and just found your channel, loved the precision use of the digital calipers and the all in one shot for scale between devices! I'd love to know more about the docked mode, I understand the pro does 1080p over USB-C, but can it be hooked up to a dock and would the following work. - ethernet, great for PC game streaming at home - multiple controllers/keyboard and mouse, should work but im worried about input lag and bottlenecking of all this over one USB-C port - power delivery, how does the device perform while docked, charging, and playing. Fan speeds, CPU temps, any change to game performance
One of the best videos so far about the RP4 Pro, seeing Super Mario Wonder in this unit is really a nice surprise and a lot of indie and 2d Switch games will be playable
This is FAR more powerful than I was anticipating. I might need to grab one now, I've been holding off on buying an all-in-one endgame emulation machine for years, and now we may finally have it.
Same here dude lol i've freaking LOVED how china has been pumping out lots of different emulation handhelds for us the last few years, forreal for all of history up until a few years ago i've always wanted and ''end all'' retro emulation handheld and always put up with getting PSP's to mod but they just never felt right, these devices however seem to fix all the comfort/power/etc issues i'd have with modding official handhelds, and their last one, the retroid 3 plus was the one i figured would be ''the one'' but i'm glad i waited a little for this because the fact we can run all these devices that well, AND have the ability to output to TV?!?! this is fucking IT LOL

I was under a time constraint because of my departure to CES and spent almost 18 hrs on Saturday putting this together. I usually try to balance the audio levels better but thank you for the tip.

@@Ryu_Teruyama The idea is to test out the demanding games to use as a benchmark. If, for example, Champions of Norrath emulates well, then you can safely assume that Xenosaga or Disaster Report will be solid.
@@QuarbitWAble to play the entire Xenosaga trilogy on such a pocket sized device would be a wet dream comes true for me 😩 + points for you for mentioning Desaster Report. A person of culture.
Using PAL roms, reducing resolution below 1X, fiddling around with settings...I get the feeling people getting this for PS2 / GC emulation are going to be dissapointed.
To be fair, those are some REALLY difficult games to run. I'd say 90% of the library will be pretty realistic without much fiddling. I thought it was a good idea to just show off the harder stuff to temper expectations and give something more realistic. 🙏
They definitely made a poor decision placing the dpad up top. But, that being said, there are source ports for Portal, Half Life and Half Life 2 that play natively on Android and should be a blast on this system
As someone who has completed half life for ps2 on my 2S (has almost identical controls, same sticks and shoulders but the shoulders are not textured) - it's amazing. Aside from a kb and mouse, as good as it gets.
The minor changes in the visual are very welcome and it's a beast in comparison to the RP3+. Now we can play PS2, GC and even Wii with minor tweaks. I hope to get one asap. Nice video dude! 👍🏻
Could you please try valkyrie profile 2 (with the patch that helps performance) and xenosaga 3? These are one of the hardest jrpgs to to emulate on ps2.

10:40 I honestly want to know what's the mentality here: Why not zoom in a bit so we can actually see the gameplay? So many of you reviewers do this and it doesn't look good.
sorry to ask this question here, the last video u guys do stubbs got recommend the 1tb micro sd card pro + from teamgroup for the rp4 pro, may i know can it also use for window pc gaming handheld, i want to use it on my gpd win 4, all this time i only use sandisk or samsung brand, never use teamgroup brand before, since in my country they never sell or bring in this teamgroup brand
Fantastic video! Does anyone know if this would run The Getaway? Not sure if you had that game over in the US but it was a cool game. Oh and Manhunt/Manhunt 2?
Someone else actually request the Getaway and I’ll definitely be examining it. That one is probably one of the hardest PS2 games to emulate. I will add Manhunt to the list as well, nice choice!
Your video came straight out of the gate with Burnout Revenge and then slightly later, Black. Because of that, your video automatically trumps any other impressions,/video out and to come. 👍
I really hope the yuzu team is aware of this device and will start to optimize their emulators for the dimensity chip i would love to see a world where this can kick ass at switch
i want u to test as many switch games as possible, i mean the indie games and older triple a games (port switch version), my odin 2 will be playing all the bigger newer switch game, so i want my rp4 pro playing all the oldest games…im still waiting for my rp4 pro to arrived…
Can't wait for all the reviews. Could you please include some android gaming on the review? I would like to know how can it handle GTA SA definitive edition (netflix), because yesterday I was testing it on my RP Flip and it was horrible, I better stick with the previous port, but I think it could be an interesting game to test. Thank you for all the good content and good luck at CES.
How does this compare to the RG35XX H? It's quite a bit more expensive, so I'd hope or assume a good bit more powerful. For me it's a little difficult to justify one of these when I have a Steamdeck OLED. I know they're a ton smaller, but I also have an old GPD XD that handles everything up to PS1 pretty well.
It's definitely a lot more powerful but as you said you do own a Steamdeck. It's really based on your own needs. The RP4 Pro is a solid mid-range handheld that is definitely much smaller than a Steamdeck but still offers some nice power.
@@retrotechdad Yeah... They're all interesting devices and handhelds just have the "cool" factor, but between a Steamdeck, Switch, GPD XD, and a modded 3DS XL, I feel like it's a bit hard to justify more handhelds for me, especially since I don't even travel often. The RG35 and RG36's are a little easier to do that with since they're significantly cheaper, but I guess it all comes down to what you want to do with it. I love how the 16bit US/SNES and Ice Blue color scheme on that Retroid Pocket 4/Pro look though. Curious how the D-pad is on them. Some reviews have said the D-pad on the RG35XX H is amazing, one of the best out there.
I'm very impressed by the performance increase. Being able to play PS2 would be perfect, as it's currently the only thing I'm missing on my RP3Flip. The only thing I'd be waiting for would be another clamshell version as I love being able to carry around my RP3Flip without the worries of getting a case that adds extra bulk, or having it knock against anything in my bag or pocket that could damage the screen, or controls. Thank you for the video, I can't wait to see what the others have to say about this new system as well. :)
Champions of Norrath and Champions Return to Arms have always been hard to emulate PS2 games. Seems to be their engine that doesn't work well with emulators. I would love to see those tested on the pocket 4 pro.
Could we possibly see Gran Turismo 4. I’m trying so hard to not buy this thing without seeing some more reviews 😅. If it can play GT4 I’m sold, it’s exactly what I want at a price I can afford. Thanks!
I like that choice and it's a good one to test! I've added it to the list. 🙏PS2 has been VERY solid on here so I'm thinking that there's a good chance this will run without much issue.
@@retrotechdad Thank you! It’s so awesome to see how far these pocket emulators are getting along. I love GT4 on my PC but the ability to have GT4 with me all the time is just mind blowing. Oh yeah, and Subscribe to Retro Tech Dad!
Interestingly, I’m kind of disappointed with the GameCube emulation. I would’ve expected far better (1.5x or 2x for most games comfortably, given the Odin 2 can do 4x).
It actually should do that the vast majority of the time. The games showcased here on ps2/GameCube are some of the hardest examples of emulation on the systems. It might not seem like it but the rp4 handling those at around 1x is actually a big plus. It means it'll probably do 2x+ on 90% of the library of both systems or more (give or take)
this video makes me so mad, this handheld is fully able play every gamecube at 2x 720p if you used right build of dolphin instead of one from playstore. Never download emulators from playstore always get them from offical websites and install the apks so your getting the lastest performance increases from newer builds. If you had use dolphin mmjr1 or dolphin dev build (dev is better for most case but some games are better in mmjr1 due to cpu overclocking and underclocking). If you used dolphin dev build at 2x open gl every game would play at full speed. you would only need swap to vulkan for some games or enables some setting hacks in dev build to get full speed in games like f zero. Other than those issues very good review.
I’m very well aware of the Dolphin forks. I did mention this in the video that it’s an early look and I was only able to compare between Dolphin from the Play store and the pre-installed Dolphin for handheld. Dolphin mainline has come a long way and is actually quite good now. I did pin a note to this video with follow-up footage of F-Zero running at 2x with the NTSC version.
@@retrotechdadOh sorry i skipped straight to gameplay so i must have missed the part you said it in or didnt hear you. Thats thing about dolphin on android on my ayn odin pro that i brought at discount to hold me over till rp4pro ships i can get 2x easily with right builds per games. dolphin dev is still best overall in my opinion. Another thing to note is citra could be lot better as in one recent citra canary builds they ported the ui from yuzu to citra and added screen swap and setting hot keys. on top of that they added driver support so maybe you could try citra canary on either opengl or vulkan (vulkan causes glitches in some games) with better vulkan drivers.
See I like how retroid decided to go with a better chipset finally, but this is what’s so annoying about these companies. They will release 8 handhelds all having the same chipset. Only thing that changes is the form factor . The reason why we see such a huge boost in performance is because they are so far behind because they have been using the same chip for the pat 2 yrs. Now with the advent of Retroid using this chipset and active cooling, that will prompt these other handheld companies to do the same 🤦🏽♂️
Is the standard mode loud? You think you can play most games without turning on the fan? I have tinnitus, so this is quite problematic for me (the noise). Why about the fan wind, can you feel it in your fingers? I can get a RP4 pro quite easily and fast since i live in China, but its been days trying to decide if i buy the 3+ or 4 because of the fan. Thank you
Great question! You can turn off the fan in standard performance mode. In "performance"mode, you can set the fan to quiet which is not audible. My full review is coming out in a few days but just some testing that is fresh in my head. PSP, for example, I had running at Standard performance with no fan on and I was maxing out Loco Roco at 10x and Ridge Racer at 9x. It does depend on what you're looking to play with the RP4 Pro.
I don't get it, maybe its because of the OS or the drivers, but i have a smartphone with almost identical hardware as the P4Pro and i can't run half the games in those emulators, i know its a different CPU but still believe that im doing something wrong. Bought a Redmi Note 12 pro.
Hello I notice it's curious that on the performance overlay on your video you have a GPU on the list but for me this one doesn't work with neither app it always looks empty or it just don't appear do you know how to fix that? Thanks
Can we have a Retroid Pocket to play PS2 games without Android deivce? It way better because i brought Anbernic RG350. That have PS1 Emulator without Android device.
@@retrotechdad if u have any save files with the Vector Canon obtained please let her rip on a screen full of baddies :3 i think even the PS2 chugged for this tho not certain
Can you test some demanding switch games like Batman , RDR or Witcher 3. I know it will not run them well but I really want to see such tests. Mario and indie games are great but they are not really benchmark.
We tested RDR during the livestream and it went in-game. It had about 9 FPS and graphical issues but still cool nonetheless. I will be doing much more thorough Switch testing in the future.
Your review remains the best on YT right now. Although this device is not made for switch emulation, but your testing using 0.5x resolution stands out. If possible can you release more switch testing ol zelda games etc? Thanks for your time.
Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate that! 🙏 This was just an early look and a full in-depth video will be coming soon definitely more Switch testing. I’ll most likely be doing some separate dedicated Switch showcases as well.
I noticed that only one of the A78 cores was clocked at 2.6ghz, while the other A78 cortex cores were only clocked at 2.354 ghz. I'm not too familiar with clock speeds, but is that normal?
I noticed the same thing, I will be asking Retroid about this. It's very well they have the performance profile set this way because of things like thermal constraints.
Could you make a video comparing different retro handhelds? Its hard to decide which to get but I'm leaning towards the miyoo plus because of Onion OS but the RG35XX H and retroid pocket look great too
My RP4pro came and in 24 hours the R2 Trigger broke down just like many others. Now no response on when the replacements will arrive - even before Chinese new year. Very disappointing.
Yes, screen size would for sure. Switch emulation is going to be much better as well. The last thing I'd say is the Odin 2 has the power to brute force even the very demanding games like F-Zero etc. The RP4 Pro will still need some tinkering but that's not to discredit it since it can do a lot without the need for it.
I can’t find the answer anywhere can two retroid pockets trade Pokémon in gen 3 I know miyoo mini plus can do gen 1-2 trades but what devices can trade Pokemon emerald ?? I want to buy two and play with my fiancé and be able to trade and battle in gen 3.
Depends on what you're looking for, the RP4 Pro is definitely a more pocketable/portable device. I'd say that performance should be better here with the RP4 Pro but the Odin Pro does have a Snapdragon which means better support overall.
@@retrotechdad In some games it was hard to distinguish your voice from the game noise so I would recommend lowering them more overall to make it easier to hear what you're saying but overall great video!
NFS Most Wanted is really a good benchmark, I always manage to somehow run God of War on weaker devices but Most Wanted needs a powerful devices to run.
It may be the first look video but wow, I'm still impressed with the improvements that Retroid has done to Pocket 4 Pro. Sure, I would love to see the RAM swap or virtual RAM feature just like the one in base variant of Ayn Odin 2 or major Android phones but if Retroid continues to optimize the software into a stable state, then I won't feel bad purchasing it.

Please try testing Soulcalibur 3 on Ps2!! It's my favourite, and a difficult game to run on there.
Added to the list! 🙏
sorry to ask this question here, the last video u guys do stubbs got recommend the 1tb micro sd card pro + from teamgroup for the rp4 pro, may i know can it also use for window pc gaming handheld, i want to use it on my gpd win 4, all this time i only use sandisk or samsung brand, never use teamgroup brand before, since in my country they never sell or bring in this teamgroup brand
I have a few of the Team Group cards including the 1tb one and they're very solid and good values. 🙏
I think I always include something Burnout, I love the series! I wish we would get a new entry. 😭
I really hope the yuzu team is aware of this device and will start to optimize their emulators for the dimensity chip i would love to see a world where this can kick ass at switch
It would be VERY awesome to see! 🙏
i want u to test as many switch games as possible, i mean the indie games and older triple a games (port switch version), my odin 2 will be playing all the bigger newer switch game, so i want my rp4 pro playing all the oldest games…im still waiting for my rp4 pro to arrived…
Ohhhh yea, you know I'll be doing A LOT of Switch testing with this. I'm pretty excited to see how far we can go with it.
Yes, I will check out GTA:SA and include more Android games for the next round. 🙏
Yes much more powerful, PSP Dreamcast and Saturn will be easily doable on this and some level of GameCube Wii and ps2
Please try silent hill 2 and/or 3 on the RP4+. Would love to see how those games perform and it would really push me to buy one
Added to the list! 🙏
Everybody seriously needs to quit using OpenGL on a unit like this for Dolphin, use Vulkan instead
OpenGL performs better on this.
Will Nvidia Now work on the RP4P??
Yes, it will! I'll be testing some of the other cloud services as well as local streaming in the future.
Hey, could you test ace combat 4 & ace combat 5? Really REALLY appreciate it if you do :)
Just added it to the list! 🙏
It would be really nice to get some battery life figures!
That will be coming for sure with my in-depth video.
Can you make a comparison with the Odin 1 pro and the rp4 pro there the same price rn and I prefer the comfort of the odin
I think many are going to be REALLY happy with the PS2 performance on here, it's pretty awesome to see. 🔥
SOTC is impressive since the game doesn't run at a stable framerate in the og hardware either.
Agreed, PS2 emulation in general was very solid on here. I can't wait to keep testing more.
Great video!
Would you like to try playing Need For Speed Underground 2 for the ps2?
That is like my favorite game of all times.
Do you think Diablo 3 will run on this i think its powerful enough just that it dont have driver support.
I will definitely test it, it's one of the more stable games on Yuzu. 🙏
Appreciate the hard work! I’m so close to finalizing my purchase.
You're very welcome, thank you for watching! 🙏
Champions of Norrath and Champions Return to Arms have always been hard to emulate PS2 games. Seems to be their engine that doesn't work well with emulators.
I would love to see those tested on the pocket 4 pro.
Same! Those two games are the whole reason I've started looking into handheld emulators. (Plus Brotherhood of The Blade from PSP)
🤣 Thank you for that! 🙏
Another reviewer tested it and I believe it worked well at 2X
Interestingly, I’m kind of disappointed with the GameCube emulation. I would’ve expected far better (1.5x or 2x for most games comfortably, given the Odin 2 can do 4x).
It actually should do that the vast majority of the time. The games showcased here on ps2/GameCube are some of the hardest examples of emulation on the systems. It might not seem like it but the rp4 handling those at around 1x is actually a big plus. It means it'll probably do 2x+ on 90% of the library of both systems or more (give or take)
@@azumashinobi1559 yeah that’s what I was hoping - if it can do most games at 720p, that’s fucking fantastic.
@@YRGHY2010 I would be pretty shocked if it didn't but I'm sure you'll see some more as the more in depth reviews come out
Yes, exactly.
this video makes me so mad, this handheld is fully able play every gamecube at 2x 720p if you used right build of dolphin instead of one from playstore.
Thank you very much! Will watch your full review then.
I don't get it, maybe its because of the OS or the drivers, but i have a smartphone with almost identical hardware as the P4Pro and i can't run half the games in those emulators, i know its a different CPU but still believe that im doing something wrong. Bought a Redmi Note 12 pro.
The RP4 Pro does have active cooling and various performance profiles so that does help.
@@retrotechdad Ohh i get it 🫤 thought i could run some heavier games. Thank you man 🙂.
Hello I notice it's curious that on the performance overlay on your video you have a GPU on the list but for me this one doesn't work with neither app it always looks empty or it just don't appear do you know how to fix that? Thanks
Excuse me Daddy, would mind testing a few Vita 3K games on this device.
We are up to V9 on Android now.
Thank you.
I have it planned for the full review. 🙏
@@retrotechdad - Thank you Sir.
Can we have a Retroid Pocket to play PS2 games without Android deivce? It way better because i brought Anbernic RG350. That have PS1 Emulator without Android device.
could you test Zone of the Enders 2 on PS2? i believe this might have been the most demanding games since it came at the end of the PS2 life cycle
I have added it to the list, great choice! 🙏
@@retrotechdad if u have any save files with the Vector Canon obtained please let her rip on a screen full of baddies :3 i think even the PS2 chugged for this tho not certain
Could you please test ps2 Killzone, and also the offline bots multiplayer of killzone. 😊😊😊
Oooo, Killzone would be a great one! Added to the list 🙏
@@retrotechdadFantastic, if it runs great on it, then the 4 pro is a must buy for me. If it doesn't then there's a long wait for the retroid pocket 5
I saw the price on this sucker and its only about $200 which is an amazing price point for such a strong portable gaming device
if you're a fez fan, the pico8 demake is outstanding.
Oooo, I love playing Pico8 content on my RGB30. Thank you for the recommendation! 🙏
Did you try to connect them to Xreal air glasses ? is it full hd or only reproduce the screen of the base display ?
Great video!!!! Do check how GOW performs
Always! 🙏
I’m so wanting to buy this if only to play Phantasy Star Online for the GameCube. Is that playable, and can you get online with a private server?
Try running the getaway games could not run them on rp3+
Someone else requested them as well and it's already on the list! 🙏
As soon as i finished the video i went to order one xD. Time to wait for at least a month but it’s gonna be worth it. Awesome video aswell!
Were you playing yuzu with NCE enabled?
Yes, it’s probably hard to see it but it’s usually listed in the top left corner below the frame rate. 🙏
Does it run the PS2 Tony Hawk games on it (16:9)? Unterground 1 & 2, American Wasteland?
Whoa that black looks so good also are you able to try Sonic Superstars
Oooo, that would be a fun one to try! Great choice! 🤗
I’ll most likely be doing some separate dedicated Switch showcases as well.
blasphemous 1+2 ori games forgot the names and star ocean second story R
I cannot wait to get mine. I’ve been playing on my Miyoo Mini+, loved it. this will be a nice upgrade
That is a VERY nice upgrade, you're gonna have a lot of fun with the extra power. 👀👀
does it play ps3 roms, and if so where can i find ps3 roms?
No, this will not play PS3 games. Unfortunately, there isn't an emulator available for Android.
That geekbench benchmark put things into perspective. Wow.
Hi great video. I would like to see ps2 metal gear solid 2
I've added it to my growing list! 😅🙏
Dave the diver indie? You have to be trolling like Geoff
Yes, I spent an entire day putting this video together just to troll. 🤣😅
Could you make a video comparing different retro handhelds? Its hard to decide which to get but I'm leaning towards the miyoo plus because of Onion OS but the RG35XX H and retroid pocket look great too
can you try splinter cell pandora towmorrow and ultimate spiderman on dolphin
My RP4pro came and in 24 hours the R2 Trigger broke down just like many others. Now no response on when the replacements will arrive - even before Chinese new year. Very disappointing.
Great reaview. Realistically what's the need for and Odin 2 if you have the RP4 Pro? Screen size maybe?
Yes, screen size would for sure. Switch emulation is going to be much better as well. The last thing I'd say is the Odin 2 has the power to brute force even the very demanding games like F-Zero etc.
The RP4 Pro will still need some tinkering but that's not to discredit it since it can do a lot without the need for it.
@@retrotechdad good to know. So it sounds like Odin 2 is Superman and rp4 pro is Mighty Mouse
Is the cost difference worth it in your opinion?
I can’t find the answer anywhere can two retroid pockets trade Pokémon in gen 3 I know miyoo mini plus can do gen 1-2 trades but what devices can trade Pokemon emerald ?? I want to buy two and play with my fiancé and be able to trade and battle in gen 3.
I am considering the Retro Pocket 4 pro. The original Odin is selling for the same pric at 200.. Which one is the better buy?
Depends on what you're looking for, the RP4 Pro is definitely a more pocketable/portable device. I'd say that performance should be better here with the RP4 Pro but the Odin Pro does have a Snapdragon which means better support overall.
Great specs but yes that green tint on the screen is horrible!!😬😬 definitely have to get that fixed ASAP . Noticable instantly.
Yes, Retroid is aware of the issue and will be addressing it. I'm definitely going to be watching for this, it definitely needs to be corrected.
Does this come with games pre loaded????
No, Retroid does not ship any of their handhelds with games.
Hey man, could you test Legacy of Cain defiance and Mortal Kombat? Jack and Dexter 2 would also be appreciated!!!
Can you check Fire Emblem diology: Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn? I wonder if new console able to play them flawlessly.
The burnout sounds are annoying as hell you could have lowered game volume
I did lower it but that game is just loud in general. 😅 Sorry about that! 🙏
@@retrotechdad In some games it was hard to distinguish your voice from the game noise so I would recommend lowering them more overall to make it easier to hear what you're saying but overall great video!
Have you had a chance to see how Vita games run on this?
Not yet, it's definitely on my list! 🙏
We need oled screen on these and Ryujinx is better switch emulator!
Ryujinx is not available for Android, unfortunately.
@@retrotechdad they need to make it for Android it's a great emulator I use it everyday too no issues with it! 🤙🤙
With Others Words Just give a fuck about the Handhelds its Just Money waste Stick with mobile and buy a d Pad Finish
NFS Most Wanted is really a good benchmark, I always manage to somehow run God of War on weaker devices but Most Wanted needs a powerful devices to run.
I agree, the Need for Speed games are surprisingly very difficult to emulate on both PS2 and GC.
I think a lot of the improvements here are REALLY welcome changes.
