Nothing bad happens in Assassins Fate...Fitz buys a zoo and they are all happy forever!
😂😂
Gee, thanks.
I 💗 Poison Study. SJM got a lot of inspiration from this book for TOG. The characters name, magic, assassins, chocolate, the mc being i n prison at the beginning. Everyone always mentions book similar to SJM, no one ever mentions where SJM got her inspiration from. ACOTAR is Howls Moving Castle inspired. 🌙 city is inspired by Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter series. Xx
Maria V Snyder released A Study of Poisons (which is Poison Study through Valek's POV) last year, and A Study of Magic is coming out in April, so you might be interested in that.
Blood Over Bright Haven is incredible!!
Tom Lake was soooo good! I just finished it today. The audiobook is absolutely delightful! I'd recommend going back and forth between the physical copy and the audiobook. Meryl Streep's voice was perfect for the role. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on it!
I LOVE the Temeraire Saga so much I named my kitten Temeraire. Most people know Naomi Novak through Spinning Silver and Uprooted so it always excites me to see others pick these books up. Hope you enjoy it!
So happy to see Temeraire again on BookTube: here in Italy the first book of the series is no longer available, and a friend of mine ended up gifting an expensive copy for me to start reading it 🥹 (yup, I could’ve definitely read it in English but I’m sooo lazy!)
So glad more people are going to discover "Blood Over Bright Haven". It was one of my favorite reading experiences from last year. "The Killing Moon" is on my TBR as well, I just need my brain to be prepared to focus. Happy reading to you!
I finished the realm of the elderlings in February and I’m already back to book three in the fareseer trilogy. There is just nothing like it!
currently reading a tempest of tea by hafsah faizal (such fun vibes !!) & hoping to get to some greek retellings by jennifer saint (ariadne, elektra, atalanta) !! hope you enjoy your reads :)
Full disclosure on Raven Tower is that it also has a split second perspective POV. It’s not a dealbreaker but I wish someone had warned me about it before I read it a few years back (way before I read her sci-fi stuff and it’s significantly different writing )
I haven’t read Severance, but there’s a show on Apple TV based on the book. It’s SO GOOD! Definitely leans psychological thriller rather than satirical as you mentioned about the book.
I LOVED TOM LAKE!!! I am a big fantasy gal like you but ventured out of my comfort zone for this one because I would follow Meryl Streep off a cliff 😅 obviously I listened to the audiobook and it was so gentle, comforting, thoughtful and confronting all at once. Would absolutely recommend
I added Miracle Creek to my TBR, it sounds a lot like Little Fires Everywhere so I'm excited to check it out
oh man i’m so excited for you to read severance, i haven’t stopped thinking about it since i read it
Both The Farseer Trilogy and Licanus are on my TBR for spring 😆
Books I want to read this spring:
1)finish Remarkably Bright Creatures
2) The Familiar by Leigh Bardugo
3) Emily Wilde's Map of the Otherlands
4) The Old Capital by Yasunari Kawabata
5)A Tempest of Tea by Hafsah Faizal
sounds like a great spring tbr - i hope you’ll enjoy all of them!
Honestly Regan you are the cutest booktuber out there and watching your videos always make me smile 😊 ❤
This TBR looks so fun Regan! I’m hoping to get to The Women by Kristin Hannah soon and & A Fire Endless by Rebecca Ross (I’m reading A River Enchanted right now and I’m loving it)! I just finished the Licanius trilogy and I think you’ll really enjoy it! We seem to have similar reading taste, most of the books on your TBR are also on mine :)
Severance is an Apple TV series and it’s amazing! For sure read the book then check out the show - insanely well done !
This is me putting Where The Dark Stands Still on your radar because it sounds right up your alley and the cover art is top tier. I’ll be reading it next!
I’m about 40% through The Shadow of What Was Lost, and it is sooo good. Very strong Wheel of Time vibes
I will honestly say that I have never been disappointed in any book that you've recommended. Even if it's nit a genre I particularly like.
Yellow looks AMAZING on you with the red hair!!! Love it
The flower lamp & yellow cardigan are impeccable 💛 stunning filming set up Regan
It looks like you have a lot to look forward to! I also love the yellow cardigan🌷 This spring I hope to finally read The Justice of Kings, The Fragile Threads of Power, The Housekeeper and the Professor, Elena Knows and Another Country 💛
excited to read "tom lake" and "severance" 🤩
I read the Poison Study series based on your recommendation all those years ago and LOVED IT!!
I don’t know why but when I think of spring, I think of romance and also light fantasy! I think my first read of the spring is going to be a romance!
So excited for you to read blood over bright haven!!
Would love to see you do a Robin Hobb realm of the elderlings deep dive video!! ❤
The Expanse is a really exciting TV series based on James Corey’s books. I loved it!
Blood Over Bright Haven is absolutely bonkers, I read it in January and I already know it's going to be one of my favorites (if not my #1 favorite) of 2024. It just goes so hard
omg i adore temeraire! i think you will really love it
Assassins Fate is the perfect end to the worlds most the perfect fantasy series ❤
I just read The Killing Moon last month and I loved it!
Miracle Creek is such a good book! So is Happiness Falls. Loved both of them, and Angie Kim joined our book club to discuss both novels.
For a whole minute I was Googling if the tv show Severance is based on the novel because they sound like they tackle similar ish themes through sci fi but it looks like it’s not! But! Great show
Same! The synopsis sounds like it would be the same so I was surprised to read that the TV show isn't based on the book by the same name!
I also wanted to google that hahaha, but now I don't have to (the tv show is so unsettling and great)
Was thinking the same! Love that show!
His Majesty's Dragon really channels her love of Master and Commander. She captures the tone of that era.
I avoided the ML Wang book because of the content warnings for gore, sexual assault, and suicidal ideation. I'd be interested to know how extreme it is,
I have blood over bright haven on my TBR as well!
The temeraire series is my favourite. Even if you get stuck on book 6 ( many do ) keep going . That series was the reason why I wa even tempted to read that iron flame thing .
Yesss a story of a new name 🩵
The books I'm hoping it get to this spring are:
-A Fragile Enchantment
-Howl's Moving Castle
-Sweet Bean Paste
-Half a Soul
-I Want to Eat Your Pancreas
I'm a slow reader, but hopefully I can get through all of them, because I don't want to carry these over to next spring. 😊
Sweet Bean Paste is wonderful. I hope you enjoy it.
Just curious, why 'carry them to next spring'? You won't read them in summer if you can't get through them all in spring? Why not?
@@tarastreasure I definitely can, but when summer hits I'll have different books I'll want to prioritize. And if it reaches autumn without having read the books I'll probably just hold off until next spring. The curse of wanting to read books in certain seasons for optimal immersion 🙃
Half a Soul is incredibly sweet! Hope you enjoy 😊
Not sure if the show was based off of the book but it's too much of a coincidence not to be. Severance, the show on Apple TV, was so amazing and very gripping. Definitely a really cool idea.
I loved a Curse for True Love!
I can hardly recognise any of these books except for Stephanie Gerber, of course... very interesting! Heard about Brandon though! Happy reading!
Oh my gosh, I need to pick up poison study. It's been on my tbr for so long. If you want a romantic fantasy, with secret societies and moon magic, I think you'll like Curious Tides by Pascale Lacelle. I'm almost done with it and it's amazing
I feel like I'm one of the only people who couldn't get into the OUABH series XD You are making me want to try out Robin Hobb though. For spring, I want to read the Shadow of the Fox trilogy by Julie Kagawa, The Grace of Wild Things by Heather Fawcett (author of Emily Wilde, it's one of her middle grade releases), A Fragile Enchantment by Allison Saft, The Scandalous Confessions of Lydia Bennet, Witch by Melinda Taub, and also His Majesty's Dragon. And as many of the October Daye books by Seanan McGuire as I can feasibly get to.
Hi I love your videos! They’re so comforting and I have found some great books from your channel! If I wanted to read Yumi and the Nightmare Painter could I read it without the rest of the Cosmere series? Or the rest of the secret projects?
have you heard of The Midnight Bargain by C.L. Polk? from how much you loved The Beautiful Ones by Silvia Moreno-Garcia (as did i), i would highly recommend it! novel-of-manners but also there’s magic in the society
Read all but three!!!!
I hope to get to some Sally Rooney books this spring idk ehy exactly
they are just seem to be calling to me 😂🌷🩷✨

The Raven Tower is one of the most unusual books I’ve read. I’ll be interested to see what you think.
Regan. I am DESPERATE to know where you go that cardigan! I’ve been searching for a pastel yellow cardigan for years
It’s from Sézane!!
When are you going read Demon Copperhead? 😊😁
My priority spring (April/May) TBR is :
The Dragon Republic by R.F Kuang
On the Savage Side by Tiffany McDaniel
The King of Attolia by Megan Whalen Turner
In the Lives of Puppets by T.J Klune
The Hurricane Wars by Thea Guanzon
And then we'll see.
I forgot The Prisoner's Throne by Holly Black
😊😊
❤️📚

TBR grows exponentially… 😂
I liked poison study but second book annoyed me. I loved a touch of power tho by same author.
The Raven power I have it on my TBR too I heard a lot about it 🌈🫶🏻🍀💚🌈🌈🌈💚📚📚🫶🏻📙📙📙🌈💚💚🫶🏻📖📚📚📚🍀🍀🫶🏻🌈📙🌈🫶🏻💚💚💚🫶🏻🌈🌈🫶🏻💚📚📚📖📖🫶🏻🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈
