A true Osmond fan already knows what they went through !! I will always be an osmond fan I love them all very much ❤ they were a big part of my childhood !! ❤
How much story line was there or was it nearly all music? I haven't been able to find one non-musical clip. I know all the songs....I want to Jay if add any insight or interesting memories to the story, beyond what we've all heard for decades!
@@ellenw391 I just watched it tonight. It’s like mama mia, but between songs is such a lovely insight with amazing scenes. I would really recommend it! You see more about they’re childhood and their growth… I guess a better description would be similar to the Elton John movie Rocket man
@@ellenw391 yes, lots of scenes about their life and def the ups and downs that they went through. I thought it was a really feel good nostalgic evening 😀
I gotta give Jay a world of credit. This is a show that has been long overdue for two decades. The hard thing is that fine line between showing the tribulations without airing dirty laundry that would hurt family members. In watching both Osmond bio movies, they both hinted at certain aspects that I wished were elaborated more on. There was an Osmond brother's special discussion style interview (including Jimmy) that gave some eye-opening insights that were shared for the first time between them. In the movie "Me and my Shadows" they simply had Lorna as a consultant (she wrote the book), for the screenplay they used somebody else who could be a keener eye that was both objective and remained true to the accented direction the producers decided to go on. I will probably love this when I see it (I have loved all things, Osmond, for about 50 years), but think it is time for the world to see behind the smiles how difficult, how human, and how amazing this family was/is, for better/worse. When they want to bring it to Broadway they should ask Harvey Firestein to look at the book for suggestions of greater humanization.
I met jay ,well it looked like i was his body guard and i ended up taking pics with him and his fans .i have sang with marie before and she again wanted me to sing with her on stage in vegas i didnt ,maybe because i upstaged them with a joke .she didnt come out to the meet and great that time was when her son pasted on to heaven .Wayne osmond is a great guy so is merril .jimmy is cool however i dont care much for his singing and i an doery he faced another heart attack. They say he will never sing again .Jimmy was the one that pulled the osmonds back together and with Wayne retired it was merril , jay ,and Jimmy .well Jimmy can't sing now .it leaves only one singer merril. U know what jays doing now i like to with him the best with this new musical .donny is in Vegas and now marie is doing some opera. I hope she comes back into country she is realy good at that .who knows maybe jay ,donny ,marie, and merril will do a show together i sure see that one evan if its a christmass tour .love all the osmonds they rock
They were a huge part of the 70's, a fun period after the hard times f the 60's where people needed light and fun...best of luck Jay.
