I always thought Durrant was one of Scotland's best players and - even though I'm a Celtic fan - I felt quite sad when he got his leg done. I thought he would never play again and he was so good I felt it was it was a bit of a tragedy. The fact that he did come back and played so well is a real testament to him and shows the type of person you need to be to play at the highest level. He would've walked in to any team in the world at one point. Really good interview this one.
Being a Celtic man didn’t think I’d watch this but so glad I did thought both guys came across really well Ian Durrant in particular he showed no bitterness about that horrible tackle just tried to get the best out of his career what a great player he was especially before his injury he could have played in any team in the world he really was that good
I am Celtic fan and great to hear these two guys talking , loved their club and fair play to them. Seem like good guys , this is the side you don't see.
The groundsman Dougald who they talk about at 44-45 mins was my godfather Dougald Donelly! I was told about this clip by the retired C of S minister who spoke at his funeral service, which is why I came on here to watch this. Apparently Dougald liked to name drop on Rangers players including Ally McCoist. When me and my bro were at primary school, he sent us both Rangers banners (triangular shaped with tassles) which we hung on the bedroom wall. Dougald died very recently. R i p. he was a character. I hope there are some other people connected with Rangers and possibly a few players who remember him!
Durranties recollection of the nine months he spent at Lillishall recovering from his wrecked knee and not feeling sorry for himself because others were there with worse injuries was so humbling. Like Derek said very few footballers would have the mental fortitude to come back from his injury. Brilliant watch.
As a Killie supporter from a wee boy of 7 to now a 71 year old pensioner it is always good to hear good things about your team from players that arrived from big clubs, just a pity we could not have seen an interview with the great Tommy Burns, well done SI ( love your choice of interviewees) and well done Durranty and Derek, absolutely brilliant interview, both coming over well and clearly looking after yourselves. Mon the Killie
My personal favourite and I’ve watched them all. As a Rangers man can honestly say the ex Celtic players have been different class and changed my opinions on a lot of people. Superb Stuff keep up the good work.
Celtic fan here. Missed this one but glad I caught it. Both came across well especially Derek. Would love my boring workplace to be like some of these dressing rooms you hear about in these interviews.
Superb, I worshiped these two lads growing up, wonderful players and even better people. Love the stories. Just think how many stories they have that can't be repeated on here.
To be honest here for a minute,Derek Ferguson talks sense, and very much more interesting than most guests.I seem to latch onto his words more than Macca,he knows the game inside out.I would love a beer with him anyday..
Another fantastic interview. There's a pattern with players like Derek, Ian Durrant, Ally McCoist.. Barry Ferguson. Playing for Rangers meant everything to them.. Somehow, Steve G needs to find quality players who really support the Gers and know what it means to put on the Royal Blue.
Aww fantastic Si to get these two maestros on. Wee Derek looks like he could put a pair of boots on and hit the ground running he’s obviously looked after himself. Great stories. Great banter. Great patter. Great memories. Thank you.
The cup final they are referring to was in the season Rangers won the league, and Souness made a comment re Mo Johnston signing, that they won’t know what’s hit them... Celtic won the double the season before.
This was great, I love the anecdotes from behind the scenes. Agree with what some other have said, I loved the Celtic players interviews too, even though I hated the players when I was a kid! Would love to see something like McCoist & McAvennie together, getting each other’s perspectives of big games/situations.
If the 20000 at the reserve game were anything like me they weren't expecting anything, they were just hoping one of our heroes was going to make it back.
brilliant video !!! great banter and class to see 2 of "our own" in an interview !!! I would love to see Andy Goram (great stories and banter) I would mention a Celtic player if they had any that I actually think could tell a decent story !!! lol At the rate the channel is growing I could see Sir Alex on here soon.... keep em coming !!! brilliant video's. If more people knew about these video's your channel would be MASSIVE.
Quality as always Simon 👍.. seen Derek play quite a few times when my dad used take me to brokville and watch the Falkirk. You could tell even back then what a good player he was. Falkirk had a fine team back then despite the crumbling ground. Players like Stevie Fulton, Gordon Marshall and even Chris Waddle for a while lol. Said before man would love you to get big John YOGI Hughes on that would be some crack mate
Two top blokes typical Glesga humour They shouldve ,could've held their own v anyone. Believe Derek could've been Souness type as in played with quiet arrogance at same time oozed class ,protection for team\mates. Their era every good team had central playing hard tackling ,fearless type. Souness my belief would've moulded Derek similar to himself with Durrant moulded like Bobby Russel/Kenny Dalglish .But .....
I decided to play a drinking game, have a swig everytime he says "Now"....... im utter pissed hahahaha, love you Durranty but now, you need, now, to stop that, now :P
Durant was robbed of the career he should've had. Quality player a wee nyaff (at the time) but quality. I'm a celt but credit where it's due. Derek Ferguson's was a good player too, neither made the level they couldve had tho.shame

Derek Ferguson seems like he’s got your back, what a great mate.

Genuine rangers men...absolute pleasure to listen to them 🔴⚪️🔵

Brilliant to see the love and respect they have for each other. Fantastic players.
This is the only youtube channel where rangers and celtic fans don't go bitter or nasty in comments. Brilliant
That's got to be one of the best yet...what a pleasure it was listening to those two...brilliant 💙
2 guys who through injury & other reasons possibly could have went on to become world class players ⚽🔴⚪🔵
Durranties recollection of the nine months he spent at Lillishall recovering from his wrecked knee and not feeling sorry for himself because others were there with worse injuries was so humbling. Brilliant! Really did dislike both these guys when they played against my team, but just proves it's all an illusion. Great stories 👏
Celtic fan here. Great interview . DF seems a true pal tae
My personal favourite and I’ve watched them all. As a Rangers man can honestly say the ex Celtic players have been different class and changed my opinions on a lot of people. Superb Stuff keep up the good work.
Celtic fan here. These 2 used to put the fear o God up me ffs. Great patter though, seem like good guys.
Derek and Ian came across really well!a great interview interview with lots of excellent stories and insights into how they were as boys and men!
They're still a class act. Great interview. They could have their own show. 😁
Excellent viewing good too see another two down to earth people talking about there football and life stories , great work !
well done again Si, call me a big softie but its great when you hear the banter between the Celtic Rangers divide!!
Celtic fan here. Missed this one but glad I caught it. Both came across well especially Derek. Would love my boring workplace to be like some of these dressing rooms you hear about in these interviews.
Granty was still trying to slide tackle us in the dancing 😂😂😂

Always hated Durrant as a player, but what a man he is! Great attitude
Best one yet. Could listen to those two swapping stories all day 👍🏻
Brilliant Si. Pissed myself laughing all the way through
Another fantastic interview. There's a pattern with players like Derek, Ian Durrant, Ally McCoist.. Barry Ferguson. Playing for Rangers meant everything to them.. Somehow, Steve G needs to find quality players who really support the Gers and know what it means to put on the Royal Blue.
2nd time watching this. Wee Durrant's patter second to none, and Fergie a total gent.
Two of our own talking football and life...great interview again Si, keep them coming
I remember Derek Ferguson being far more cultured than just a ball winner. He could play and had exceptional talent
Two great lads, know what it's like to play for the blue jersey, class couple of guys, could do with them today
Loved watching this. 2 Rangers greats!
Cheers Si, love your vids mate.
Aww fantastic Si to get these two maestros on. Wee Derek looks like he could put a pair of boots on and hit the ground running he’s obviously looked after himself. Great stories. Great banter. Great patter. Great memories. Thank you.
Really enjoyed that. Some of the stuff about Souness is mad and the banter is great. That dressing room would have been brilliant.
Superb stuff........could listen to these 2 aw day......
My first memory of Durrant was an outside of the foot vs Marseilles...
Si that has been the best interview you have done in my eyes these guys made me laugh but they are real Rangers men.....

This was great, I love the anecdotes from behind the scenes. Agree with what some other have said, I loved the Celtic players interviews too, even though I hated the players when I was a kid! Would love to see something like McCoist & McAvennie together, getting each other’s perspectives of big games/situations.
Great, honest interview. ....Thanks for sharing.
Brilliant interview.
I remember derek ferguson running amok against celtic for 40 minutes but was booted off the park by willie mcstay and was subbed after 40 minutes!!!
It’s like watching the two ronnies 😂
Brilliant interview si , nice meeting you up the Glasgow fort the other day , keep them coming ! Ps: get Andy Goram 😉
Really enjoyed that one there
Great craic....SAFC fan here
Absolutely brilliant.
If the 20000 at the reserve game were anything like me they weren't expecting anything, they were just hoping one of our heroes was going to make it back.

Great stories. great patter.
Fabulous stuff.
2 Great Rangers Legends,
Great interview. They confirmed my dislike for Souness. Hated him at Liverpool. Always hated him and still hate him talking shite.
Best yet.
Two great players,
Quality as always Simon 👍.. seen Derek play quite a few times when my dad used take me to brokville and watch the Falkirk. You could tell even back then what a good player he was. I'm a Celtic fan season supporter for 38 years, Durrant was a Joy to watch Ferguson was bang average , But Rangers were top Drawer in this era,
YAS !
The was outstanding!

One of my biggest disappointments was derek fergie moving on before he had fulfilled his unbelievable potential 🇬🇧
Think dogs abuse is a bit strong, it would have been a great run and we would have just come short, shows some of the mad hatters in our support.
Simon I met you somewhere
Durrant is so hard to understand.
