I like the realistic feature of having someone forgetting to turn off the cabin fan before shutdown. Also, on the Perspective+ setup I fly the MFD powers up without the avioncs, you're supposed to use it to follow the checklists and set fuel load, W&B etc before starting the engine. Can you flood the engine on the XPlane version.... because I know I've done it a couple of times on a real SR20.
@@XPlaneOfficial I'm pretty sure Austin has a lot of other more important things to get done so that XP12 can come out of Beta, but I'm definitely interested in the helping make the SR22 in XP more realistic.
This is a perfect video for me as I just graduated from the 172 to the Cirrus. Your explanations follow the POH very closely. Very professional and well done. This kind of video adds huge added value to X-Plane. Thank you!
Was a bit disappointed at first, to not see a funny Austin freaking out as in most of the latest videos. : ) But also very good to have a little more pure and factual approach for this kind of tutorials. I like the relaxed and easy to follow style of Jan as well, thank you very much!
Jan, what a nice surprise to see and hear you doing these SR22 tutorials! You are an excellent teacher, whether it's flying a plane or designing scenery in WED. Thanks!
I can't wait for that day when all aviation related things are finished then X-Plane getting 3D real world streaming scenery. Keep up the stunning work!
Would rather not have to have a super fast internet connection like MSFS or spend $2K for a computer.. Like the sim the way it is. MSFS takes up 150 gig's X-Plane 12, 25 gig's.
Good overview; what would have been really, really helpful is if you'd have had an alt view showing your keypresses or some other way to illustrate how you're controlling everything, including the view. I still feel very awkward when I'm using the keyboard to control most everything (plus joystick for some things). Some sort of "best practices" video, or perhaps just one showing various ways to control everything (especially the view as you're looking around the cabin and controlling things) would be awesome!
How would I know to make sure parking brake is set or to turn off fan to even know where these buttons are is there audio that yells you to do these steps how will I learn these things
Is there any tutorial on how to use the FMC? I've been having trouble trying to figure out how to make a flightplan with it so would be great if there was a proper tutorial on how to do that
Great job X-Plane. It will be great having more tutorials videos for X-Plane12. Right now, I just have X-Plane 11 but plan on purchasing the disk version of X-Plane 12 when it comes available at Laminar X-plane 12 official web site. Yes, I could go purchase the Steam Beta version of X-Plane 12 @ a 33% discount right now. But I prefer to have the disk version purchases directly from Laminar X-Plane 12 when it becomes available for sale. The cost will be more but at least the profit stays at Laminar and will help R&D of X-Plane.
Having a lot of fun with X-Plane 12. Especially when looking at objects on the ground and at sea. Making the plane smaller makes them bigger. The aircraft carriers, flag waving and the bulb bow can be seen under the water, that and the detail of the oil rigs is quite unexpected. Would like to see the OBS indicator needle pointer work though on the 172's.
Oh no! That was very bad starting technique! Never allow engine to reach 1900 rpm at the moment of start! You should do it in a way that it reaches 1000 only! I know it’s a sim but many people using it will jump to a real plane in the future.

Yes! Earlier takes included this...definitely on purpose. 😉 Also - Austin is looking into your p-factor report. He'll reach out when ready.

Yes, whether it’s Perspective Plus, Perspective, or even Avidyne, the MFD should power up without turning avionics on.
Scott! Amazing seeing you here in the X-Plane comment section. Thank you for helping me land on Minmus all those years ago!

I can do some barrel rolls on final approach on my next tutorials - would that help? ;-)

Thanks Jan!
This Cirrus and the Citation X are really good stock XP aircraft. Really impressed I gotta say.
I really like this type of explanation, I hope there will be more videos like this in the future

Is this been announced or a fantasy?
He is paraphrasing what Austin said in the live the other day. New scenery is "Bubbling to the top" as I recall.
yes look at 1:08:31 in latest livestream, he really admits!

@@ohwell2790 The required bandwidth is very standard and the high drive space occupied by MSFS has very little to do with scenery.

You should do a video for all the defualt aircraft like this. Please also fix the way winds effect planes in the sim.
More tutorials are in the works!

that sweet cockpit, feels like seating in a nice car.
After flying Austin's "turbine-powered rocket" in XP12, piston-powered aircraft will never be the same.
I literally can't select another plane, keep coming back to the evo every time I fly.
Thanks. Can you cover how to setup navigating between airports using the autopilot and doing Nav/Approach modes for landing?
Basic VOR navigation will be shown in another tutorial for this aircraft (in progress)
Last time I heard this voice was on a 737-300 video :) Nice explanations Jan.
Lets go
I tried this but when relasing the parking brake the plane never moves can someone help

He,pful thanks. I prefer VFR flight so this is great
No problem 👍
Please do one on the Citation X!

X plane has way more realistic taxi then microsoft flight simulator.
Kind of funny you post this on the same day as MSFS add’s this plane to the marketplace…..lol
👏👏👏👏
Adquiri Xplane 12 por STEAM..gracias cordial saludo desde Bogota.
Please new update xplane 10 😢😢😢 andorid cloud and global aircraft stand on airport like aerofly please update
At 02:10 fuel flow goes off the scale... +1 for the bug tracker please.
How did you manage to get internal AND external view?
X-Plane's built-in Replay tools + video magic.
You can "cheat" and make the nosewheel steerable in Planemaker.
Please on PS5 🙏🙏🙏🙏

I'm goin back to xp11 until xp12 is fixed
