I've made probably 15-20 orders with Surugaya and my experience has been almost exclusively great. There was one order I made where one of the items did not come in the package but that was because that item was no longer available and they did not charge me for it. There was no communication or email on their part though in regards to that. The only other issue I had once was with a DS game. The game inside the case was not correct and I contacted them about it. They took about a week to look into the issue but they got back to me and refunded me for the game and told me I could keep whatever I had received so overall I'm very happy with the customer service as well.
Looks to be a decent store to order from. Condition looks great generally, especially on the cardboard. Shipping costs and speed both excellent too, I will give the site a look
Yes aforementioned friend of the channel here. Ive had quite a few orders placed with them. Ive had good experiences, bad experiences and some other incredibly head scratching experiences. Just some background info. I'm an American living in Seoul. So some of my issues are probably unique to me or other expats. Good: Every good experience I had with them was just that, quite good. I'd place the order it would come together and then a day or two later it would ship and come a few days after that. My quickest turn around time from order to my door was literally 4 days. The games came in good condition and often times the website price was cheaper than the price tag that was shipped in the box. Bad: I've had two instances where they took a very long time to get my order together. Like 3 weeks. I then received the order a week later and my order was missing some items. The shipping label on the outside of the box had the correct amount of items that shipped, but the receipt inside the box did not. There was no email or notification of any kind to let me know what had happened. I had to email them myself to find out. This happened twice and another time I just canceled my order after waiting 3 weeks because I knew what was going to happen. (They dont normally cancel orders but I was very insistent and probably a bit rude) Strange orders: i've placed two orders with them using my American credit card only for them to cancel my order on me. Their reason was that my credit card was not from same country as where my order was going. Ive used both paypal and my credit card on other orders in the past and this was not an issue before. Suddenly it has become one. I emailed them a few times and they just never responded. Their English customer service is just terrible imo. But thats not totally unexpected because of the language barrier. Overall when it was good it was good and when it wad bad it was real bad. It's just frustrating and despite the cheap prices I won't be ordering from them again because I don't want to deal with the randomness of will it be a complete shipment or not. Some of the issues like with my credit card is probably a very niche and unique issue that most online shoppers wont face. But shop at your own risk. Anyway great video my dude. Always happy to see handheld stuff 😊
Prices have been creeping up a bit over the past few months and they do not seem to add new items very often from what I have seen. But I stocked up quite a bit when they had the recent free shipping option.
I've place big orders from Surugaya a handful of times, around 80k yen each time, always received everything from the order I placed. I've used DHL and EMS when they started offering it again going to East Coast as well, came in 2-5 days. I would say the prices are pretty great and the condition of the items have been good 9/10 times. I did screw up on the yen/dollar conversion the first time I ever placed an order, but realized the mistake and did what you had mentioned.

where do they say/estimate the shipping costs, or u have to input payment information before they show shipping costs? nevermind i seen it after clicking paypal it showed up.
Can you give some more details about doing the conversion to Yen when you are checking out? i will use an American debit card, dont have a PayPal account anymore.

the site automatically shows you the conversion to USD on you setup your account and use the US site.
