The Disney and Marvel versions are ok, but they refined the system to a fine point with Star Wars. So much depth and meaningful decisions from 2 relatively small decks of cards per player. The extra spaces on the player boards, and the multiple resources are excellent to keep players with different win conditions thinking on every turn. Wonderful game!
My bf got this because we have Disney and I’m obsessed so he thought this version would be fun. It is so overwhelming. I’m trying to push through and hope once I understand it better it will be fun again. But there’s just so many added things and rules. My bf told me I’m overcomplicating it, but I say they overcomplicated it. All the rules for the ships and things. I don’t know. I just really like the Disney version so much and this was disappointing for me.
Great minds. I'm holding off on a Star Wars list until after FFG releases their new Star Wars Deck Builder in a few months. As for Star Trek, I'd have to consider it. Not 100% sure I've played ten Star Trek games yet. Thanks.
I don't really know if they are interchangeable. I suppose you could. Although there might be balancing issues because Star Wars has two currencies while Disney only has one.
Ended up getting this because I love Star Wars, but never played the Villainous games prior. My wife and I found it quite boring, the ships useless and forgettable and the overall system easy to game. The luck of the draw really factors in quite a bit, especially if your ship is at the bottom of your deck or an objective card you need is. Turns also quickly become repetitive, especially if you're trying to syphon through your deck to get a card you need. I would definitely say try before you buy unless you have already played this system and enjoy it.

Indeed.

Great content as always
Thanks!
Cool! This sounds fun!

Definitely enjoyed this more than the Disney versions. A worthy addition to my stack of Star Wars games.

Cody's T-shirt is a Chyk Magnet.
Tell that to my girlfriend. She bought it for me.
How about a top 10 Star Wars games? There should be more than enough for one. A top ten Star Trek games might not be bad either.

Luke can’t join the dark side without killing Darth Vader 😮
But we love him anyway.
Can you mix the game with Disney and marvel?

Interesting. I like how fast the game plays, personally, and I don't find it repetitive. But, to each their own.
