Cody, thank you for spotlighting this one! The Clone Wars has become my favorite time period in Star Wars lore. Fun to see lots of references to the cartoon show in the cards and characters
I’ve also really enjoyed this one. It’s cool that each mission is a episode from the show. Each villain feels very different as well. You can tell they went the extra mile to make this have as much theme as it could.
Ah yes, the 'evil' separatists. Neither side knew they were both being played and the war was useless, because either outcome would serve the puppet master Darth Sidious and they all lost in the end.
Love this game. Played with kids. I never would have thrown Pandemic at them (it would have put them to sleep...too abstract), but the Star Wars theme gripped them and kept them engaged. I also love that EVERY card has a different piece of art! We were making up our own stories as we went along based on the different troopers, ships and vehicles we were using. It was a blast.
Stars Wars, galactic map, sweet minis, dice. Me, being bummed there are no good dudes-on-a-map games made anymore: "Yes, finally! That's what I'm talking about!" Cody: "In Star Wars The Clone Wars, 1 to 5 players..." Me: "...it's a freakin' CO-OP!?!?" Cody: "It's a riff on Pandemic." Me: "...I don't hate you personally, but I do hate you saying those words." I'm either going to spend my night slamming my head against a wall, sobbing uncontrollably, or wondering if I can teach my children (who are currently in grade school) to play Axis and Allies.
It’s so interesting what games have come from the Pandemic system. A lot of creativity with these cooperative games. You should check out the Andor series. It’s one of those rays of sunshine in Disney Star Wars.
I actually did. Quite enjoyed it. I liked Rogue One, but all the other Disney Films are trash. Mando season one and two are good, as were the episodes of Boba Fett that dealt with Mando, but the rest of the series was garbage. Obi-Wan was really, really, weak. Anyway, that's my two cents.
@@TheDiscriminatingGamer Totally agree with you. Lazy writing really hurt Kenobi and Boba Fett. Looking forward to Mando S3, hoping for the best. They've really shined with their new characters rather than the legacy characters.
@@aquarius5719 You should watch that third episode. Every three episodes or so is a mini story arc. It always builds up to a climax, that is made better by the set up. At least see that third episode and see what you think.
My mother received a dirty phone call with what was suspected to be a Stormtrooper doing heavy breathing down the other end of the line..... .... ... ... ... .. She called the cops to report it as an obscene clone call.
Got it for Christmas, but haven't had a chance to play it yet.... Got Undaunted Stalingrad and Chase the Bismarck while I wait for Atlantic Chase to be reprinted.
When Cody tried to play Clone Wars with his clones, a war did break out. Yes, a version of Cody always find a way to defeat himself at a cooperative game and also win. 🥷
@The Discriminating Gamer yes but in cooperative games that is done so you win. It is a reason why you will take up defensive positions against yourself in cooperative games. 🥷
The first joke was A+.
Ha! Thank you, sir.

Indeed. Great game. Thanks.

@@enjoythestruggle No, I’m pretty sure they were evil. Sidious was just trying to bring order to the galaxy.

Ha! I'll try not to take it personally.
Played this tonight for the first time with my gaming group. Really really enjoyed it as well. Great review
Thanks!
Jury is out on this game for me . Found it extremely Annoying not being able to get a move card on my turn for several activations .
That's the luck of the draw. Any game with card draws or dice is going to annoy you from time to time. For me, it's part of a game's charm.
I loved this game. The definitive Clone Wars game. So thematic, made with love.
Indeed. Fun Game.
@@TheDiscriminatingGamer There are people who trash this game. It is either nitpicking or just haters

I hated Andor show. 2 boring episodes and I had to stop watching. Even the sequel trilogy is more entertaining.

This and the cthulhu one are the best pandemic system games imo
I haven’t played Cthulhu, but I’ve heard good things.
this gam needs an expansion or two

First rate!
What do you think about the difficulty dial by adding missions? That makes the game longer.
It does make the game longer, but I think that's to be expected. I like that you have the option of a tougher game - game length is the trade off.

Still haven't hit Undaunted Stalingrad yet. Hoping it arrives soon.
hahaha I freaking LOVE your jokes. That Yoda one made me snort my drink! A+ :D
Glad you enjoyed it. Danke.
Try fall of Rome, thats my favorite Non dice Pandemic game.
I've seen it. Looks interesting. Thanks for the recommend.
Love your hate on the sequels. I love the prequels too
Fantastic!
Funny how we all started to like preguels after the terrible Disney stuff came out.
Very true.
