This along with a gps sensor and an arduino would make it pretty simple to make your solar panels on top of your van rotate and tilt up to maximize energy. You could do it just on voltage, but when parking the van and unlocking the solar panels this would let you do a quick transition to the appropriate rotation and tilt with fine tuning via voltage. It would also let you do the best you could with a hazy overcast sky. "I know it's over there -- somewhere!
There are DIN rail end clamps/brackets that are used to keep things from sliding around. In a pinch, you could bend the corners of the rail to keep things from falling off on the ends.

Is a raspberry pi strong enough to run a new highrez cellphone screen?
The GPU can only drive displays that match a configuration that is already built in to the GPU binary blob. Small slow displays can be driven through GPIO pins directly by the CPU. The GPU can drive displays through the HDMI port, DSI port, or a VGA display connected to 24 specific GPIO pins through a set of resistors. Cellphone displays connect to DSI ports. I don't know if the DSI can handle 4k like the HDMI.
@@hamjudo Thanks that gives me a start. Im trying to build effects using tiny screens placed behind a for-ground element like miniature windows etc.
It sounds like I could look for an HDMI to DSI converter, or is there a better way?
@@bardiccollege3971 I have seen small screens built into train layouts, but they just built a phone into the layout. The phone already has a computer with a network interface. A Raspberry Pi could just send video to the phone.
If you need a thinner display, take the phone apart and see how long the inner cable is. In theory you could make or buy an extension cable for the DSI connection. But that would be a surprising amount of work.
