I said it before and I'll say it again: Will might've won the battle at the Oscars last year, but lost the war against Chris this past Saturday. Ever since Chris was a kid, he's been pushed around, beat up, and bullied. I have a tremendous amount of appreciation and respect for him for not stooping low (like Will did) and using physical violence. Instead, he did what he always does... Used his comedy as a deadly weapon to strike back with. Chris said that Jada hurt Will way more than Will hurt him. And in turn, on his Netflix special, Chris hurt Will AND JADA, way more than that slap did. Salute to CR!

Will Smith had to know Chris was gonna address all of these points. And Chris was 100% justified to raise it all. He nailed it. He scorched both Will and Jada in this part of his show. Can't help but think his last point or two about parents and parenting was also a slight dig and Will and Jada for their own parenting approach. All this being said... this entire show by Chris Rock is wicked! I loved every part of it.

The only thing Will Smith should have said about this was: "I deserved it."
That would've recovered his image immensely.
This was wholly deserved. Chris Rock is furious, and he has every right to be. Nothing he said was below the belt. He didn't oust anybody. He just said what everybody already knows, how it came to him getting slapped, and what that did to him physically, emotionally, and his relationship with Will and Jada. Everything he said made total sense and in my opinion was spot on. Another observation I made from the infamous Oscars night was how afterwards, after Will's acceptance speech and further into the night, he was not a man that was at all remorseful. On the night, I think he felt justified in what he did and wasn't genuinely sorry at all towards Chris. It wasn't until months later when the full force of the backlash started to take shape that he then filmed his apology to Chris. Same as Chris, I was a huge Will Smith fan but not anymore. No respect left for him.

Chris didn't even know Jada's so called "alopecia" (many professionals in the field have already called her out that the kind of horizontal line of baldness was most likely caused by hair extension or forgotten brow tuck surgery) when he made the mild GI Jane joke. People later made a fuss about Chris "making fun of a condition". Just because Jada disclosed her alleged alopecia on her social doesn't mean that it automatically a widely known fact. Chris waited patiently and released this show a week before the Oscars. Perfect timing. He was humiliated in front of the world by Smith but respond it to the slap, doing his job, he is a top professional. The ending of this show is magic-"I didn't hit back because I have parents and they told NEVER fight in front of white people". I just subscribed, you guys are intelligent and decent. I can tell.

It was the right thing that Chris Rock did. As a comedian he use his platform to share his feeling of the slap the world saw, that is a grown man I could imagine how Chris felt at that moment. Will embarrassed himself by slapping him, and I am glad Chris finally give him what he deserved.

The irony of Will Smith playing Ali is that what *really* made him work in that role, was that he had that inherent likeability. Because Ali could be nasty with his mouth, but it was in the spirit of competition, as he saw it, to eloquently trash talk. And yeah, some commentators criticized him for the trash talk, and for many reasons, that largely came down to one reason...he was a Black man making his own decisions. But to me, in the end, Ali was always likeable, and inspirational...and THAT was what made Smith the right choice for the role. Michael Mann put that faith in him, to make that physical transformation, and do the intense training he needed to do, on the technical side of things, to learn how to convincingly portray one of the greatest boxers of all time, in his prime, in the ring, as well as out...but what was under all that additional work, at the core of the performance, is that Smith had that same kind of shine, that made him likeable and inspirational. But that's...not really the case, at the moment. To go *out of his way* to conduct himself that badly, live, at a celebration, on the biggest stage in the entertainment world...'I'm sorry, let's move on,' doesn't come close to cutting it. He'll make a comeback, I'm sure. But he's lost that Ali shine.

Will needs to come forward to describe what Jada did to him, and how he snapped on the wrong person over nothing. This happens to everyone. It's happened to me several times. And then you go back to the person you snapped on, you apologize profusely. You explain what happened without stepping into the victim role. And that's what Will's still got to do to Chris. As publicly as the emotional snap.

I watched the special live. I loved it. Chris bided his time. Revenge is a dish best served cold. And Chris Rock was ice, even though he was also hot. I think he actually showed some restraint; he could have gone even deeper. And technically, he never actually called Will a b**ch; he just listed everybody else who called him one. He did call Jada one, deservedly so. But he kept her name out of his effing mouth. He is a professional. In response to Jaden Smith, that’s how comedians do it. Flawless victory. Even though he messed up the concussion, joke on the live special, but fixed it, and then they added a net, it was still a flawless victory. And now those two whiners are crying that their feelings are hurt, and they wanna sue him. What a patheticbunch of entitled spoiled millionaires. And, like you said, will might even be a billionaire. I don’t know. But he’s in a toxic relationship with a toxic, narcissist, and whatever his secrets, he needs to get away from her. She’s poison.

If he adressed it at the end of his special and did not adress the coward behavoiur of these hypocrite colleagues of his, sitting in the audience and saying nothing, I have to admit I am disappointed. Some for the people behind the scence who are in charge of the Oscar´s.
He should have shamed all of them.

I still love them both. I hate to see two brothers that were friends going at it like this on a major platform, but so much respect to Chris Rock for the way he handled himself. I don't think I'd had that much control & perseverance. Can you image how much worse this situation would have been had Chris lost it rather he could beat Will or not. Then sat on it for a year not saying anything until he made a lucrative deal to let it all out in his stand-up show. Chris you rock. No shade to Will. Though, I don't want to, it's hard not to take a side. I pray that these two awesome talents & old friends make-up someday. Words ever justify anyone putting hands on you...Peace!!!

I think Will needs help... And separate from her. They don't fit together, and if two people that do not have the right chemistry stay together.... Most times they start poisoning each other, and one will start trying to dominate the other. Seems like will is a good guy... And good guys often end up with narcissists... Which will push them down. The best he can do for himself is get out of that relationship and get some therapy,.... He can find a woman that will love him the way he is at any day.

Well done boys! I hope Chiris feels better now and ppl should leave Chris alone. You are 100% he is hurting and needed this as therapy whether you like it or not what he said. Chris what humiliated by Will infront of the world! Not only was he obviously physically hurt but emotionally hurt by this act of violence! and this will be on the internet forever. This showed how traumatized Chis was and still is. I hope they both heal and my guess that both Chirs and Will can eventually make amends once Jada is out of Wills life.
I also think Will will get back his successful career back, as he should.
Great job to both you dudes 😁

This Smith outrage was a cheated on man acting out his impotency. What got me is that GI Jane was a badass as a strong, powerful woman holding her own in a man’s world. Jada and Will could have laughed and said hell yes, I’m up for that. Will Smith,as long as he’s with her, will never get the respect she took from him in another young adult man’s bed. Also his “apology” was pathetic.

Some people seem to think that being a man is all about showing off that you are capable of being dangerous. That is a factor, but what they forget is that the capability of restraint is equally if not more important. You're supposed to show that you are capable of being a protector, not capable of being a threat.
