I'm not a country music fan usually, but this song is phenomenal. I kept listening to it over and over again all day yesterday. It was crazy. So soulful and beautiful.
This is real country. From late 90s-present, the most prominent kind was really pop-ish bro country that attracted all the white boot Nashville girls. This is real country. Poetic, real, and soulful. It's almost impossible to hate really, just sad to know that most people just dismiss country as a whole because they don't like Luke Bryan and all the other copy paste pop country artists from the 2010s
you haven't been listening to country in the right places. what zach bryan is doing isn't unique. It's no different than what Whiskey Myers, ryan bingham, william clark green, turnpike, cody jinks, jason boland, etc. have been doing for over a decade....hell throw blackberry smoke and cross canadian ragweed into the mix and is decades. Heck this song sounds a lot like "Pipe Bomb Dream" and "Trailer We Call Home." Those are two songs that came out well over 6 years ago. Two songs that I bet most Zach Bryan fans have never heard. I don't mean to sound like a hater because this is a good song. Go listen to "whiskey myers - stone" or "william clark green drunk again." I don't think I've seen anyone react to "drunk again" and it's SUCH an outstanding song
You’re the first person that I’ve seen comment on the concrete feet lyric and the “soles” / “souls” word play. It’s refreshing to see someone else appreciate how clever that lyric is.
This is my first time listening to Zach Bryan and not only do I love the song musically and the lyrics but his voice omg. His voice kind of reminds me of Johnny Cash in a way.
This album blew me away! You could pick at random and it'll be great. Zach Bryan's music feels like The National and Tyler Childers had a baby and the music touches my soul. 😊
How you feel him sing lyrics is what got me hooked on Zach, I’ve never felt the passion, grit and emotion that Zach has in his songs. Love your insight and thoughts of it all, also enjoy the instrumentals and when you notice them.
They say it’s extremely rare that people meet their “Twin Flame,” but I’ve met mine. This song is our story, to the letter. The lyrics are vague enough that almost anyone can relate but it breaks me and stirs emotions every time I hear it.
Brother look up some of the older stuff. Like Shivers Down Spines, Dark, Someday, Messed Up Kid Come As You Are just to name a few. The new stuff is amazing but everyone needs to hear how it started. Ok I’m off my soap box. Thanks for sharing.
Sorry if you have but have you listened to imagine dragons “birds” and “warriors”? They are my favourites and the lyrics are so strong in my opinion definitely worth a listen!
Everybody whose never given country the time of day now thinks they’re discovering “new” country, something that’s “changed” and is “making a comeback”. It’s always been this way, you just didn’t hear it. Maybe….possibly a bit of prejudice against country music, has finally broken.
That and an unfortunate timeframe where very non-traditional country was mainstreamed. Glad traditional songwriting country is making a comeback into mainstream where it should stay.

I love when Kacey sang “the birds like cows whose souls me” beautiful. 😂 the subtitles on the video are absolutely insane lol.
the whole album is absolutely phenomenal & zach produced the album himself too btw! tourniquet, spotless & ticking are my top 3
Tourniquet and East Side of Sorrow are two of my favourites, but the whole album is incredible!

Check out Something in the Orange
Johnny Cash was Zach's biggest inspiration for songwriting, believe it or not.
I just found this song yesterday and I also heard some Johnny Cash in it. Such a great song!!

This song is phenomenal. great song writing. Nice mix of a folk style with country

This song is fire. His OG songs...Sun to Me(his best lyric is in this song), oklahoma smokeshow, Revival, something in the orange..
LOL. Love how “pawned her ring” came up as “ponder rain” bc of our country accent. 😂😂
It’s outstanding Grammy well deserved

Listened to this style for years…fuck mainstream
Song of the Year !!
I can't not tear up....
love this. YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO TOURNIQUET!!!
I think I remember you from someplace else. You look good, you look planted
(that is good). Peace, Love!!
jake’s piano - long island is easily the best song on the album
Dude... It crushes me when I listen to it
ticking‼️‼️
With you.
They sound great together..reminds me like dolly and Kenny rogers when they sang togeather

I don't know why, but like you say I connect more with his lyrics more than any artist as well.
ZAYN is back and you still did not react to his new song called "Love Like This".
Have u listened to Something in the Orange? Good to see u again. Love your appreciation of great music.
I have. The Z&E version is my favorite. That was the first song I heard by Zach Bryan. I love it
Sorry if you have but have you listened to imagine dragons “birds” and “warriors”? They are my favourites and the lyrics are so strong in my opinion definitely worth a listen!
It needs another verse… it ends too soon!!
Remake?
Such a masterpiece

This song is very traditional country.

How about 'Love you first' by One Direction.
