    How did you reattach the drive wheels and axles so that they were quartered properly? I have the same engine I'm working on right now. Same issue with the cow catcher also.

      Hi There - sorry for delay - I did it by eye. As long as each side is exact. I just installed the other side with the wheels off 1/4 turn since that's supposed to be the way they go on but in reality I don't think it makes a difference to be honest! All these specialty tools are a bunch of baloney! I have NEVER needed ANY specialty tool to do any repairs that I have done!

    The cow catcher is chemically blackened or blued the same way a gun barrel is blued

    I do most of my work on cardboard not cheese cloth.
