- This was The Cross Movement's first music video which was never released until now (what better time than on the day of their 20th year anniversary). "Cypha Time" appeared on the group's debut album, Heaven's Mentality, which released on April 28th, 1997. Filmed and edited by Alex B. Wright in Philadelphia, PA.

Love this!!!!! You all inspired me so much! I was a freshmen in high school when "Heaven's Mentality" dropped! Inspired me to start a Bible Study on my campus and a Christian Rap Group. Now I'm a pastor and a rapper, still proclaiming God's truths! Thank you! CM Forever!

When I was in Okinawa about to finish my tour back to the United States, a fellow Marine who seemed "different" (happy about SOMEthing about life) handed me this Heavens Mentality cassette tape and back on the East Coast checked them out in Philly and was in one of their music videos. There I met Corey Red.

So many people like me were moved at a young adult age by this music and are now serious about their faith in Christ due to the ministry from these brothers.
First group for me who were spitting theologically sound bars over dope beats...changed the game when they came on the scene.

I met Cross Movement back in 2000 and they let me know real quick that what I had been doing up until that point was just a hobby LOL!!! These guys would bring the heat like a space heater...
Got born again in 1999, grew up listening to rap music and hip hop then joined the body and heard these guys in 2001. They impacted my spiritual life and allowed me to worship and praise using the same medium that I loved which wanted me to deny Him and to take me away from giving Him glory. I understood that I was worthless with my own righteousness but Christ made it possible for all and He is worth it deserving worship. One of the best albums for me from them and they continue to be a movement for Him using the talent given to reach a culture that wants to go its own way and deny His truth. To God be the glory.

Even since I was introduced to these prophets of God, they have inspired and brought the gospel to the lost and rejected and have even toppled the renowned to humility all in the power of Jesus Christ and His Spirit. +Vincent Davidson he had a heart attack. it happened back in 2009 while he was working as a security guard at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. He was 35.

Vincent Davidson but Cross Movement were not together at this time. The group disbanded in 2007. Enock left the group in 2000

I guess I must be one of the few if any on this page that noticed and remembers former CM member Earthquake, He's the tall guy in the back with the black/white striped shirt on! He left the group I believe after House Of Representatives CD was released as he only appears on the first 2 CD's! But He was the groups Producer before T.R.U.L.I.F.E. started making beats which was when Human Emergency came out in 2000!

I remember my cousin who was Philly Born N Raised, telling me about these heads he would see in the park having rhyme cyphers but they were spittin some ill freestyles reppin The Most High! Mind you this was in 93 when Cross Movement didn't even have a record out and to be honest, it was only a handful of Holy Hip Hop groups at that time! The mos successful ones that had music out were undoubtedly, Freedom of Soul(feat. Co Tunnel Rat founder Peace 586) I.D.O.L. King(Lord Byron, C.O. and Slack fka DJ Cut No Slack) S.F.C./Soldiers For Christ(Super C aka Sup Tha Chemist, DJ Dove) Dynamic Twins, E-Roc, and Gospel Gangstaz who just had dropped their first CD! Based on what my cousin told me, I knew these guys were Tha Truth(pun intended) a few years later when Heavens Mentality dropped, I didn't even have to listen to the CD before purchasing it, I knew it was 🔥and immediately put it in heavy rotation at the Holy Hip Hop spots in LA where I DJed at!
