A life well lived is often the best foundation for compelling art and there's no denying Jonathan Butler has been blessed with a fascinating life. A South African native whose expansive musical gift has earned accolades in the R&B, contemporary jazz and gospel fields, Видеоклипы
The 1st time I heard this song, that was 30 years ago. As of today I'm still listening to it. One of the very best!
I heard this song for this first time on a jazz radio station in Los Angeles in the early 90s. Music like this can't be found anywhere. It's so unfortunate.
first time i heard this song was in the mid 90s 1994-96
JONATHAN BUTLER! Thank U Lord JESUS!! Just woke up & fall in ❤️ with this Sweet Smooth KLASSIC, ...Bcos I'm a very COLOUR/ful Person & Always Kick start my wknds on Thursdays with A Bottle of Guinness/Fresh Heavenly Spring Water, ...& Instantly I received my DeliVERANCE.!! ...( JESUS turn water into Wine, "Greatest News" No Water No LIFE. Glory to Almighty GOD (Amen).
For me,this track is the GREATEST instrumental that Jonathan Butler ever recorded. I wish that the Watercolors channel on Sirius/XM would put this in their rotation!
Timeless track.....still sounds brilliant after over a decade.
I love this song, it brings back so many memories. I found the CD on Amazon and purchased two to replace my original copy which was damaged years ago. funny thing is that i could never get this song out of my head it has stuck in my mind for years, Thank You Mr Butler for one of the most wonderful compositions ever!
Such a brilliant masterpiece by one on the greatest jazz guitarists 👌
ahead of his time 90s. timeless. .free
I ran this cd into the hole in 1990. Great great track, from one of my favorite 🎸 of life JB
Love it. Promotion....comes the Lord. It's coming! Praise the Lord.
This was one of my favorites too! I went searching for it in 2011, and later in 2016, to find out it was "not there" and couldn't find it. Part of me freaked-out and thought "Mandela Effect", but it appears it's just a record label thing I guess. I was soo happy to find this tune!!!! It is one of the most happy, relaxing, and uplifting tunes there is!!! Excellent job on those keys Michael Bearden!
This was my favorite track we did on this record. We recorded at least two more that the label never put on the record. They were amazing songs! I'd love to hear them again actually. . R.I.P. to Wayne Braithwaite (producer/bass) and Don Alias (percussion) The other musicians on here are Omar Hakim, (drums), Vincent Henry, (reeds), me Michael Bearden, (keys) and of course JB! So underrated on this album! M~
Love the whole album and particularly this track is my favorite. Thank you for making such music . Could you tell me what keys did you use in this track? Electric piano is very smooth and silky
You guys were/are amazing. God bless you all 👏♥️🙏👑
@themichaelbearden Awesome stuff. Did you also work on "Crossroads Revisited"? That was the first tune I heard from JB on the radio. Enjoyed it ever since.
That album is a classic. Sad it's underrated. It's not even on ITunes. Coulors, deliverance are my favorite tracks.
Why is this album not on iTunes! Such beautiful sounds…
have always loved this song ....very hard to find

For me,this is the best instrumental Jonathan Butler ever recorded!

Bless you brother Jonathan
Colours is my favorite Jonathan Butler song. It's just one of those classic songs that despite being decades old, It sounds just as great now as it did when it was originally released. It was a great combination of Jonathan's masterful guitar playing and whoever was laying the funk down on the bass guitar. Absolutely outstanding! 🔥🔥
After all the hardships he went through whilst growing up in Cape Town.... Now he had to sing and dance for the Lord Jesus like King David danced for the Lord... After he was Delivered.
Takes me back to the WJZZ days in Detroit.
His pure Happiness busting out. Thanks for sharing JB ♥️
One of my jingle starting songs when I was a young student and working my gig in state owned FM station in Cameroon, Yaounde FM94, many years back . This album is fantastic, find it on Amazon if you can, listen to Welcome Home, my favorite. Beautiful memories
