In addition to the valuable footage the SEEMEE DV provides, it also has incredible lights! 100% the best rear light I've ever used! Buy it here! magicshine.com/?ref=DFnwJzX2f3Z7qI
Running a camera in your tail-light is sort of like a "Reverse Dash-Cam" that can capture accidents, close calls, etc... What do you think about this? Is it necessary?
I bought myself both, the MagicShine SEEMEE DV and the SEEMEE 300. As both use the same mount, which is great, I can simply change the lights depending on which use I prefer. I guess that if I wanted to, I could even mount the SEEMEE 300 underneath and get an extra layer of safety from its brightness and the light underneath shining onto the road around you.
My problem here in Quebec is that even with a license plate number, the police won't do anything unless I can identify the driver "visually"... I'm not sure any camera can provide footage that would allow me to identify / recognize a driver. Any suggestion?
I am looking for a rear camera that I can sync with my phone in real time and use like a mirror to see what is coming behind me. Would this product enable this? Thanks
You COULD technically do this, but it isn't really what the camera is designed for, so I'm not sure how well it would work. The App does allow you a realtime view through the camera, but there is a little latency and I haven't tested the reliability of the connection. I would suggest contacting Magicshine and seeing what they think. They're very responsive and helpful with any queries! Beat of luck!
i give that a miss. its 2024 or 2023 when released. it should be at least 1440p the sensor is useless at night and 1080p just makes it worse. but the main issue is plain to see. it has 0 stabilization. id rather spend a few quid more get a gopro 10 or less for a rear

You could even use the DV until it runs out of batteries and then switch to the 300 as a backup. 👍

Fair arguments, but a GoPro is not good for this purpose whatsoever.
