  • The Giant's Causeway is Northern Ireland's geology at its most sublime - and arguably the star attraction along the Causeway Coast - but from here we explore the rest of the region, from its craggy cliffs and crumbling castles, to handsome towns and storied distilleries.

We did the coastal walk in 2015 / it was beautiful natural peaceful - a highlight of our trip to irelands north... Derry was such a wonderful surprise in 2015 having visited first in 1989 when things were awful. The contemporary community was warm welcoming and they got along with each other and made the experience truly fun filled.

It is nice to see that this channel has recognized that "The causeway coastal route" is in another country.

Is it better to start in Belfast and end in Derry than start in Derry and drive east?

Good question, Pedro. Are you interested in travelling quickly or seeing certain sights, or is there something specific you're think of?

Discover Ireland plan is to spend one full day with much drive/stop but little walking paths. On ring of Kerry, suggestion was to drive clockwise, as most tourist vans will drive anti-clockwise. On this route, i'd guess they'd start in Belfast, is there any disadvantage of starting from Derry besides facing the sun in the morning?

@@pedroqueiros6585 If you travel from Derry the Sea will be on your passengers side. That's pretty much the only difference. There are a few narrow sections but no need for the sort of care needed on the Ring of Kerry 👍.

What a load of bollux...They only started calling the Antrim Coast Road, the 'Causeway Coastal Route' very recently. They probably paid some PR firm a fortune to come up with the crappy name. The idea was for tourists to be aimed at the bigger towns along the north coast, where they'll spend more money. Even this video misses out 30 miles of the coast road on the east coast, the tourists often don't get to see the Glens of Antrim, on the East Coast. Ignore advice from the Irish Tourist Board and are more interested in profits than they are in the enjoyment of the tourists.
