I LOVE projects like this! Sometimes I get tired of making cards and I love dimensional or construction projects! This was awesome! LOVE that window!!!! Yes, more please!!!!!!!!
YES PLEASE show us how to mixed media projects!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your work is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!! Thank you for sharing and helping me become better at what what I'm trying to do. You are always so positive! Thank you
My goodness Vicky, you are amazing!! In a zillion years I would not have thought to use the flip side of a canvas for a project. I LOVE this video and will be looking into Stamperia products. The papers you used are lovely and I want to add them to my stash!! Thanks for sharing so very well!!!
Yes, please share more Mixed media projects. I always love your videos, especially your mixed media ones. I never even considered using the back of the framed canvas. Great job, BRAVO.
Vicky, this shadow box is just awesome....thank you so much for sharing this idea.... I love it and yes, show more of canvas projects. Well done as always
Vicky, I watch all your videos, but I do love the mixed media videos. They make you stop and think of what you can do with left over crafting items. Thank you so much. This video was wonderful, and I also love your mixed media tag videos.
Would love to see more mixed media projects, but PLEASE do not stop your card making or art journal projects. Maybe post a mixed media once or twice a month. Really miss your art journal videos.
YES... YES... YES... I want to see you do more Mixed Media Projects! I can't think of a word grand enough to express how much I love this shadow box... stunning... gorgeous... wow... I am really quite speechless which quite frankly doesn't happen very often! Thanks for sharing and have a great day! :)
Vicki, I love the canvas shadow box idea!! I wish I was as creative as you are! You always make amazing projects. I never miss a video!! Thanks for sharing your work!!
I am quickly running out of superlatives for your work! As a musician, I can easily think "outside the box", but in this kind of thing, I find myself being too literal in how to use different products. So, from the beginning, when you used the back of the canvas, I was entranced seeing how you created this beautiful project. So, absolutely YES! I would love to see more mixed media videos. No matter what you do, I always find inspiration and something new to learn.
I was fascinated by this video! I kept thinking, "What else is she going to put on this?" It just kept getting better and better. I love this canvas and would love for you to do some more mixed media.
I am fascinated by your mixed media projects. I’ve been watching all your videos that I can find on you tube. I’ve always enjoyed your card videos, but hadn’t watched the MM ones. But now I’ll never miss another one! Amazing work!
Yes please I would also love to see more mixed media. I love your art journaling and I have started a journal myself inspired only by you as a way to keep some of my work for just me. I usually make cards and so give all these away! Thank you so much for sharing and give Ginger a cuddle from me he's so cute and I love to see him helping you x I sadly lost my two cats aged 17 and 19 and can't bring myself to have another yet! Thank you again Vicky so much x
Your RUclips channel has gotten me started doing mixed media in an art journal . Please keep it up. I love how wonderful your projects are, but most of all you teach us how to use so many mediums and to not to be afraid to use things in different ways than the manufacture intended. This was a great fun. Keep making your videos, so much of what you show can be used other ways.
Using scrapbook paper for the inside scene and the outside frame was such a clever idea! When I first saw the finished project I thought it looked complicated, but using scrapbook paper makes it simpler. Thanks.
Vicky, I know this tutorial was done quite a while back, but I would LOVE for you to do more tutorials for canvases and home decor. I also loved the holiday configuration box you showed on another video. I just had surgery and I am binge watching your older mixed media videos while being immobile. I think this will be my first project once I'm able.
I am torn between your Mixed Media work and your Art Journalling, Vicky! Both are so inspirational that it would be impossible to choose one in preference to another. I love to share my work with other people, but your Art Journalling is very personal and has really helped me to explore my own private feelings and emotions. It is not just the outcome, but also the thoughts that come into my mind which are so therapeutic. So......please, keep going with both if you can. You are doing so much more good than you realise!
Generally I don't like the vintage style very much and I never use a lot of realistic flowers because I don't like the look...however.... This is gorgeous! I love how it came together. It is just so wonderfully Christmassy. I adore everything you make. You are a true artist. I could just watch you work all day. Keep on creating. I love it all!
YES!!!!! More like this! I love your style and love all your projects. I find myself making tons of cards cause I love to papercraft and then end up with so many, I'll never send them all! So, this is something that will satisfy that crafting bug and things I can actually use!!! This is just gorgeous, Vicky!
Vicky, this shadow box is beautiful and adorable. BOTH. I love all your work.. Please share all your favorite projects with us. I love your journal pages, and multi-media, and just anything you do. Your explanations and your shining personality are delightful. Thank you so much for sharing your special talents to inspire us! Hugs, Light
Oh my goodness Vicky, I have often thought that a canvas would make a good shadow box, but I've never see it done before. I know this came out a few years ago, but gosh it is just lovely. I have some canvases which need using up. I'm inspired now to create some Christmas decorations in May!!!! Thank you for your inspiration.
Love this shadow box and it would be a lovely present for someone special. While I like shadow boxes and mixed media canvases, I originally subscribed because of your amazing art journal page tutorials. They are my favourite so I would hate to see you stop doing those. However you can't please everyone, Vicky. xxx
U make my day every time u post something. I'm so excited about every art journal page, card and now this!!!! U r brilliant in everything u do!!!! I could watch and watch and watch. So please please please post more projects like this one. I'm your fan forever! !!
Don't know where or how you get your inspiration but you are truly gifted. Thank you so much for sharing all your beautiful pieces. You are one in a million!!!!!!
Vicki you are amazing! I just love watching everything you create! Keep it up.....because of working full time I can't create as much as I would like but you inspire me....can't wait to retire......More crafting time!
How darling! Who wouldn't want to receive such a project as a handmade gift??? TFS another example of your artistic talent. I bet your house is FULL of your lovely creations!
Vicky, this canvas is just stunning ... so far out of my realm, but so inspiring to see it all come together so beautifully. You are truly amazing. Yes, please, I would love to see more videos like this. And here's a secret, just between you and me ... sometimes I play your videos in the background while I am working, just to hear your lovely, soothing voice. It is so calming and always makes me smile. :)
Although this is very beautiful, I really prefer your card videos and especially your journal videos. I always look forward to seeing your videos, you are so creative.
Vicky that turned out terrific! Yes I would love for you to do more projects like this. Please don't ever stop doing your art journals...they are my absolute favourite!
Dear Vicky, I love all your work. What inspires me most is the art journal & then the mixed media. Like you, I am a geek & a biochemist previous to that. I started with card making to give my parents something special since they want a donation to soup kitchens as their Christmas gift. Now with your videos & really tutorials on journaling, I am starting to expand into this area. Thanks so much for the inspiration & learning. I must say I have an expanding Penny Black collection as well. They should give you royalties :).
I have never seen this done before Vicky...., using the art canvas from the back. Very ingenious of you! I can see that it would also be perfect for placing small figures behind the plastic, and creating 3-dimensional scenes. Maybe a pond, and skaters on it. Or small figures building a snowman. Some years ago, in my area, women were doing what they called "paper tole", where they took many copies of the same picture, and cut out various ones, and layered them, and thereby creating a 3-dimensional effect. I really enjoyed watching your work. Thanks for sharing. (If you google "paper tole", you can lots of images.)
+Hectanooga1 - Crochet, Knitting, Jewelry, Crafts, Cooking I'm one of those women who used to do paper tole - so pretty but SO much work "back in the day" before we had such great products of today. :-)
absolutely stunning, Vicky you are one of the most talented crafters i know!!! Whatever you do cards, journal pages or mixed media it is always a piece or art. Thank you for all inspiration.
The best idea ever. This looks amazing. High end stuff right there. Great job. Your work is excellent, you need to have a art gallery. Love , love, love to watch your creations. May God bless you with your gift of imagination. You really are inspirational.

But I loved this idea so much that I'm going to keep going. Fingers crossed! Glad I had your video to inspire and guide me!! Oh, and I love that music! TFS.
