We see Ollie already racing in F1, living abroad by himself, giving very mature interviews; in general, just doing a lot of "adult stuff" (yeah, including going to the grocery store). Hence, I, for instance, sometimes forget that he's only 18, almost 19. But then, he mentions his mom helping him to get all the necessary stuff when he moved (which is lovely) and you remember he's only a boy out there in the world.
He may have a very different life than most of us, but he is also so down-to-earth and authentic. Such a sweet guy.

since i'm an asian and ollie said he always ended up cook a rice soup, so here little tips to cook a good rice
- put enough rice into the pan/any container you use
- wash the rice 2-3 times, don't wash too much because the contents can be lost
- pour enough water into the rice, you can measure it by putting your hand (make sure your hand is clean) into the pan/container, and if the water is more than half your fingers then reduce the water.
- cook it with a rice cooker or stove for about 15-25 minutes (depending on how much rice you cook)

The most basic ratio of water to rice is 2 cups of water to 1 cup of rice. If you take some basmati though, you’re good with 1.5 c of water to 1 c of rice (but 2:1 still works, won’t be too mushy.) Basically basic rice, double water to rice, basmati you multiply cup of rice by 1.5. (I eat a lot of basmati rice.)
A tip for making rice: For every 1 cup of rice, add 2 cups of water. Don't forget to wash your rice a couple of times before adding the 2 cups of water 😊

Rice cookers really save the day. When cooking rice in one, you can lay your hand flat on top of the washed rice and fill the pot with water until it just covers your hand.

You know there's this little invention called the rice cooker. I'm sure you can find them somewhere. A cup of water for every cup of rice. Simple as that.

Take it from an Asian, when you cook rice, rest your mid finger on the surface of the rice and add water until it reaches distal interphalangeal (first 1/3 of your finger). Hope that helps!!
