OUTSTANDING sermon!!! I am a social worker and have do much compassion for people and try to help others to not judge others because you have NO IDEA what someone else has been through until you walk in THEIR shoes. And it bothers me that people use scripture to judge others. So well said, pastor!!!
Sometimes people feel judged because of the conviction of the Scripture, but they'd rather blame the person quoting it for judging and that way they don't have to look at themselves.
I've been suicidal for several days; due to my husband and I both losing our jobs. I have been deep in prayer and hear Jesus's still small voice redirecting my thoughts and keeping me focused on the positive aspects of life. Yet, once again the devil is beating me down my thoughts and his voice are so loud I am losing my soul inside my head. SUICIDE IS WINNING AND I NEED TO OVERCOME THE FIGHT FOR MY LIFE!!! - ERIKA
Be still daighter of God. You are not fighting this battle alone. Our God is fighting for us. Exodus14:14. It shall all come to pass. He has done it for me, he will.do it for you too in every aspect of your life. May the Lord bring you to breakthrough soon. Praying for u.

For about a month 1/2 up until last week I was dealing with vertigo . I don’t wish it upon my worst enemy.. not good . Some people who I’ll come in contact with will tell me I’ve had it for years; it will never go away , one lady even told me knowing I’m a Christian that she had a friend who started smoking marijuana to be able to deal with it that I should do the same, as she was talking to me I immediately started to pray for her in my inside for deliverance sad very sad.. i went to therapy and it helped a lot but I can tell you for sure that God was in the middle of it. When this all started I immediately looked up for all scriptures that had to do with healing. Out loud I’ll say them constantly. The Parables of the sower opened my eyes like never before. Mathew.. Mark and Luke. On Luke it says that the seed that fell on the good ground having heard the word with a good heart kept it and good fruit came out.. with patience.. with “patience “ .. faith / perseverance/ patience.. I was not having much communion with the Lord.. and I believe this happened because His plans are huge and better than my plans and I needed to come back to my first love. Get in the word and study scriptures that have to do with what you are going thru.. the devil is a liar.. he is fighting you this much because he knows that goodness and big blessings from God is coming your way.. you are near a breakthrough.. don’t give up.. even if you don’t feel like it.. God is ther with you
Erika B. Roote God is with you and your husband. Know that even in your place of hopelessness God is still with you. Trust the process although you don’t understand this season. You’re trial is going to be the breakthrough for someone else. You are needed.

After going to church my entire life and playing music for over 20 years, it was at 25:48 of this sermon I paused it and wrote my first worship song. I know that nobody here knows my story, and that’s okay, but I do know that He will use this music ministry in its infancy to bless people, and I want to come busting out of this terrible season of my life and be set free from my past, my insecurities and selfishness. Please pray for my songs.
Wow I haven’t even got halfway through this sermon without my heart crying out to Jesus I’ve had a really rough life 13 1/2 years of my life was gone that was a present that this world gave me at the age of 22 that was the prison sentence I did because I took everything out of contest you’re amazing and what you’re doing in this world for sinners like Jesus did for us thank you merry Christmas to your family the joy that is in my life is amazing and I’ve only had a relationship with my father for two months
Hey brother God Bless you from Texas. I want to share with you (if you didn't know already) that the Apostle Paul wrote many of his letters from prison. Just look up the Prison epistles. These are some of the most powerful and encouraging books in the new testament. Paul gave up everything he had to preach the Gospel of Jesus including his own freedom. So it doesn't matter our physical circumstances, what matters is our heart condition. We are blessed by God and we must use every moment of life to give Him the Glory He deserves. We accomplish this by sharing our testimony with others. God bless you and know that your purpose in Christ has never changed even in spite of your context or situation. Bendiciones.

I believe I am pregnant, but everything test is coming out negative. My symptoms will not go away and I feel movement! Please Lord, the doctors tell me I am not but I cannot stop dreaming about my little guy. My husband and I want a baby so badly. If it is your will Lord then so be it.

I was in tears at the end of this "it is headed somewhere!" I've struggled with my relationship with God since I was a little girl.I decided 27 years of me doing it my way wasn't working anymore .When you spoke about context & chaos of an individuals life it really made me think about my own. I have a purpose/conslusion going into 2020 because 2019 was extremely difficult for me & I faced things I never thought I would but with God by my side it made it that much easier. I attended a group at church that assisted me with years of things I never spoke upon like sexual,physical & mental abuse, addiction, shame,guilt,fear,mother/father wounds,anger & sexual immorality. I have gained so much freedom I never knew existed because of Gods love & grace. I thank you & elevation online making it possible for me to gain a relationship with God. For a whole year I have listened to many of your sermons(I'm in texas by the way)& it has absolutely brought comfort to me when I felt alone. I pray that God continues to bless Elevation for years to come. Have a great New year.

John 7:24: "Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”. Don't Judge Hypocritical judgement, which is the CONTEXT for Matthew 7:1-6.
@@nemo2341000 also, we can judge, but more spiritual. Is called being discernment and the bible says we can judge base on their fruits.
@@Jobugz0 100% accurate, which is why in John 7:24 he says not to judge based upon appearancess. We also cannot tell 100% if another is saved, but the Bible does say we will know them by their fruit. We make judgements everyday. But the difference is between judging righteously and judging unrighteously. The Bible calls us to judge righteous judgement. Otherwise, how would others know what God Loves and what God Hates? The Bible says the law is written into our hearts so we know right from wrong. But also, The Bible says you can form a calluse on your heart, similar to how somebody who plays the guitar forms them on his hands, you can do the same with sin. So we judge righteously so people know right from wrong and to spread the message of the Gospel. I agree with everything you stated and God Bless You.

this sermon was perfect...for me at this very moment of my life!!! Right at 23 mins....that was for me....I need to repent and stop cutting people off when they offend me. It's been my defense for YEARS...so many ruined relationships because someone hurts me or offends me or does me wrong and I'm DONE with them....with no regard to the 80% of good they have done for and with me. I needed to hear that in the rawest most honest way...and I know God used Pastor Furtick to relay this to me.
It doesn't end when they move out!!! Thank God.
I have listened to Elevation for 2 years now and followed the ministry and gave support but never actually given, just consumed....Now @19:37 I just heard something that has changed my perspective, I commend you @stevenfurtick for saying what you have just said. Let me know how I can support Elevation and bring you to the U.K. because this is the bravest thing I have heard from the pulpit EVER. I just got so much revelation about the posture of my own heart, and it brought me down a couple notches (I've been praying for humility!!). Amen.. It can feel very lonely sometimes. The people I love always.have some reason that we can't all be together ..they aremad at me for things I don't know why mostly .. It usually turns out to be a mistake but it's another Christmas that we didnt share ... I just pray that God can help me be more content.. I love them and I know our time is limited and I just want to love them and for them to be here and spend the time that's left together ....I made some mistakes but my whole life I've spent trying to make them happy and love them ..... How does one thing cancel out all the good I've done my whole life.. I just pray everyone is happy and safe and they know I love them all.. I'm so thankful for what Ive learned and what I want to share with my kids thru all of this ... No matter what I know God is working it all for me to be who I was always supposed to be ... After so many years of NOT KNOWING the right way it takes time for it all to come together and holidays have been really hard the last 4 years but I KNOW it's all good God wouldnt allow things that weren't neccessary to accomplish his will if He can use this for good somehow I'm thankful I can be some good... that's all I want is too make things better and be happy for Christmas if I can't spend it with the people I love maybe I can help someone else have a better day ...just want someone to see me as good thing. I pray for God's will in my life and family that's all I'm sure about ..

For we are not cast off by the Lord forever. Though he brings grief, he will show compassion so great is his unfailing love. -Lamentations I think we experience hardship to learn lessons and while people can hold onto things once God forgives us that's it - we are truly forgiven. Hang in there he will make things right.

This message was so powerful. I've been reminded about the true meaning of Christmas. With everything going on in my life sometimes it gets hard to remain faithful but everytime I feel uncertain I will always go back to this message. I've downloaded it and I will keep listening to it. It answered all my questions and reminded me once more that I have nothing to worry about. I have to stay in context every single day. Amen.

When Jesus was 12 and Joseph and Mary went looking for him when they thought he was lost. Notice how BOTH of them went to look for him. As opposed to the husband of the Shunamite woman, when the boy started crying of a headache, he told his servant, "Take him to HIS mother". He didn't even consider him to be his own son. So Joseph actually genuinely loved Jesus for him to be that concerned.

Thank you Pastor, I really needed this today so much! I'm under attack in my community due to some things that happened! I'm being falsely accused of some stuff and just lost my job over it! The flesh in me wants to Make A Scene over this because it's not right what's happening to me and my family! Even though I know I didn't do what I'm being accused of, I feel like some people just want it to be me so they have a person to throw rocks at! My wife and 4 kids are so worried about this, we need some major prayer! I know that God has a wonderful plan to take place through all this FIRE that we're going through! And your right Pastor, DON'T MAKE A SCENE out of it, God will! I could be arrested at any time over false evidence, or just because they truly believe it was me that did this, it could have happened over the past few days, it could happen today, even worse it might happen tomorrow on Christmas Day! Today is the one year anniversary of Burying my father because if him passing from Colon Cancer, he had died on the 22nd! Then a month from the 24th to the day, January 24th, my oldest brother passed from Heart Failure! I know God wants so much more for my life, I do to! I'm 40 yrs old and I feel like a complete failure to my wife and kids! There's always a mountain or an ocean before us to cross and its getting tiring to say the least!
