    Great video explaination! I'm a licensed Ham radio operator currently learning Morse code and I was having trouble finding information about spark gap transmitters. I didn't know that stock symbols came from Morse code! Next time someone asks me why I'm learning Morse code I can now distract them with a cool stock market fact rather than try to come up with a real explanation.

    My grandfather in law saw a rotating disc transmitter during the early decades of XX century, it worked on 600 meters for distress and 150 meters for normal radiotelegraphic traffic…

    They still had tickers at that time, but would have been a teletype variety instead of morse.

    Guglielmo Marconi did not invent the system. Nikola Tesla did Long before he started using it.
