    I have been carnivore for nearly two years. No longer pre-diabetic, 20 kilos lighter, created lean muscle mass, off blood pressure medication, on no other medication. I add pouring cream to my coffee. I eat cheese. And I cook with butter. I don’t drink milk of any kind. I don’t eat yogurts of any kind. I’m 66 years old and never, I mean - never, felt better, looked better (given my age, that is) and stronger in my entire life.

      1) They have too much carbohydrate 2) milk contains growth hormones and 3) full fat yogurt that is not sweetened is not easy to find. Most yogurts are either low fat or contain thickeners.

      I make my own yoghurt with lactobacillus reuteri culture. as popularised by Dr William Davis. It facilitates the body releasing extra oxytocin. That is just one of many spectacular properties of this stuff. It helps with building skeletal muscle and also is anorexicgenic which sounds a bit scary but it just means it assists in maintenance of correct body weight and composition. I am carnivore but keto early on and its been 4 years. taking the reuteri yoghurt which is delicious and better than what can be bought. Its up to the maker to decide what quality milk they use. Full fat is best. I think you are missing out here but at least look it up and see the evidence and stories. Cheers.
      I have also lost 20kg's so congratulations!

    I got psoriasis when I was about 13. Now 61. Just a patch on one knee that covered the kneecap. About 20 years ago, it spread to my finger tips. So painful, always cracking and bleeding. At the time, my iced coffee consumption, mostly made with milk, increased. Had no idea of the connection. About 4 years ago, I went on holidays for 2 weeks. My psoriasis cleared up completely. I couldn't believe it, so had a bit of a think and the only thing that had changed, apart from location, was I didn't consume any dairy at all during this time. When I got home I tested the theory and it came up trumps. Dairy is the cause of my psoriasis. Only took 40 something years to accidently find the cause. The doctors and specialists had no answers!

    Many folks of steppe ancestry are now adapted to dairy and with lower calcium absorption because of it often holding minor dairy intolerance genes (farming came before herding was invented) - we adapted to using dairy before we developed tolerance to raw forms... so it makes a huge difference if you consume a plain kefir with antihistamine strains making your gut able to do well with a bit of raw or less fermented dairy.
    But we shouldn't forget that milk contains lactose, lots of sugar and adults aren't utilising it without side effects as rapidly growing youths do. We also need more protein in one meal than kids.
    On the other hand some genes as mthfr polymorphisms despite looking unfavorable for some reason persist and dominate in some parts of world while marginal elsewhere.
    Holistic view can't ignore it. Scientific averages can often be misleading making a sinusoid look like a straight line...
    Europeans are not Africans. Africans differ between each other very much as well. Descendants of hunters gatherers have adaptations, farmers got different, herders got different. Last 10k years made huge difference for our gene expression, epigenetic changes and gut biom variability, even reproductive strategy
    this channel has some a good name
    I always appreciate how it widens my understanding, even if my thinking differs

      Casomorphine is made by your body from casein in milk. But it is quickly broken down into inactive dipeptides. It is not addictive and casomorphine does not cross the blood/brain barrier. It's one of those persistent old wives tales about dairy which is complete fiction.

  • @Wildviking8
    @Wildviking8 9 дней назад +6

    I'm not sure why you keep posting Paul mason going on about dairy when he's completely oblivious about lactase persistent people that tolerate dairy well.
    He has mentioned osteoarthritis in the masai tribe..but again fails to understand that calcium overpowers magnesium for absorbtion and low magnesium over time is connected with osteoarthritis.
    Stress also depletes magnesium and calcium stores.

    • @mamabear9389

      No, he actually said that some may tolerate dairy, and others may not.
