Was never a fan of KathNiel but I admired Kathryn ever since I watched her sa movie nila with Alden. Her acting skills was really commendable. Kanina while reading her post, I felt sad for her. As an avid KN fan, with all the issues coming, I too was indenial and waited for them both to address this issue then when they both posted na, I realized na how do I even "Closed this chapter" in my life? It's painful and how I wished na sana we all wake up from this nightmare, sana kahit for the show lang from mngt but Kathniel proved that I stan the right people. Right till the end they gave us that love, respect and trust - a true Tatak Kathniel! Thank you for giving us the inspiration and showing how magical love can be even for people you just see on TV. I will miss this fandom. It will never be the same again. This is a tough one to accept and I know through time we will all heal and accept. This is the best decision Kathryn has ever done. I went through the same situation she is in right now. I left the relationship that I had before for 6-7 years. I had to do that while I still have a lot of respect for myself and for that person. His non committal. I can’t stay in a relationship confused as to whether that person I’m with is really serious, or whether he needed some time to decide what to do for himself, or whether he doesn’t know which one to choose. I don’t want to stay with a person who is very un decisive whether to choose me or not. 11 years in that relationship is very longtime. Also being a love team as well. When I got married, I was in a relationship with the man for only 1 and half year. He then decided to have a serious commitment with me and later proposed to me in marriage. I realised then that it doesn’t have to be that long. If he really wanted me to be in his life forever, he will decide to be with me. No ifs no buts. And that’s what it must be. When the relationship is too long, their will be alot of obstacles on the way. There will also be a time when you would just eventually fall out of love for the person. Too long, with no commitment? It’s quite boring as well. I understand Kathryn. How she felt. I think she just have to move on. She’s a great actress, she can use her talent and skills to do good in her craft. Time heals all wounds. She will heal, she will get through it, she will survive…. And for sure, she will love again, when the right person comes.

This may sound like I'm defending Daniel, but not really. There's no justifying what he did esp. if the rumors were true that he cheated on Kath. I only want to share that there's a clip from their old vlogs maybe about 2 yrs ago wherein they were answering questions (not sure if it's from fans). Kath asked DJ if he gets irritated whenever people ask why they're still not married & DJ replied (to paraphrase) hindi naman pero sana wag tayong masyadong late kasi minsan marami tayo iniisip na gustung gawin pero baka mamalayan na lang natin bigla na nalipasan na tayo ng panahon, Kath was saying but you understand naman di ba na di pa ako ready kasi marami pa ako gustung gawin. Not blaming Kath on this but I also want to say it seems DJ was "ready" or at least was already thinking of marriage but it was Kath who was holding back. Coz it's also not fair to say or assume that DJ was non committal or not ready to take the relationship to another level. Well baka talagang hindi lang sila ang nakatakdang magkatuluyan. Let's just put it that way.

Kathryn is indeed very smart and a well raised daughter and a woman. I felt the pain especially mung sinabi nya na Deej is her first boyfriend meaning she gave her all. Her life revolve around Daniel. No perfect tlga. Pero masakit sa babae na magiveup ng lalaki. Madaming babae s mundo na magulo at mapusok bihira na s ngayon ang babaeng katulad ni kathryn na disente. It’s so unfortunate that in our culture, we normalize men “simply being men” and not holding them accountable with their actions. Throughout this issue and other past love team on/off cam break ups, it’s so common to hear na “ganun talaga yang mga lalake” or “it’s something men can’t control,” as if men can’t choose to follow through with those temptations. As an avid KN fan, with all the issues coming, I too was indenial and waited for them both to address this issue then when they both posted na, I realized na how do I even "Closed this chapter" in my life? It's painful and how I wished na sana we all wake up from this nightmare, sana kahit for the show lang from mngt but Kathniel proved that I stan the right people. Right till the end they gave us that love, respect and trust - a true Tatak Kathniel! Thank you for giving us the inspiration and showing how magical love can be even for people you just see on TV. I will miss this fandom. It will never be the same again. This is a tough one to accept and I know through time we will all heal and accept. This is the best decision Kathryn has ever done. I went through the same situation she is in right now. I left the relationship that I had before for 6-7 years. I had to do that while I still have a lot of respect for myself and for that person. His non committal. I can’t stay in a relationship confused as to whether that person I’m with is really serious, or whether he needed some time to decide what to do for himself, or whether he doesn’t know which one to choose. I don’t want to stay with a person who is very un decisive whether to choose me or not. 11 years in that relationship is very longtime. Also being a love team as well. When I got married, I was in a relationship with the man for only 1 and half year. He then decided to have a serious commitment with me and later proposed to me in marriage. I realised then that it doesn’t have to be that long. If he really wanted me to be in his life forever, he will decide to be with me. No ifs no buts. And that’s what it must be. When the relationship is too long, their will be alot of obstacles on the way. There will also be a time when you would just eventually fall out of love for the person. Too long, with no commitment? It’s quite boring as well. I understand Kathryn. How she felt. I think she just have to move on. She’s a great actress, she can use her talent and skills to do good in her craft. Time heals all wounds. She will heal, she will get through it, she will survive…. And for sure, she will love again, when the right person comes.

This may sound like I'm defending Daniel, but not really. There's no justifying what he did esp. if the rumors were true that he cheated on Kath. I only want to share that there's a clip from their old vlogs maybe about 2 yrs ago wherein they were answering questions (not sure if it's from fans). Kath asked DJ if he gets irritated whenever people ask why they're still not married & DJ replied (to paraphrase) hindi naman pero sana wag tayong masyadong late kasi minsan marami tayo iniisip na gustung gawin pero baka mamalayan na lang natin bigla na nalipasan na tayo ng panahon, Kath was saying but you understand naman di ba na di pa ako ready kasi marami pa ako gustung gawin. Not blaming Kath on this but I also want to say it seems DJ was "ready" or at least was already thinking of marriage but it was Kath who was holding back. Coz it's also not fair to say or assume that DJ was non committal or not ready to take the relationship to another level. Well baka talagang hindi lang sila ang nakatakdang magkatuluyan. Let's just put it that way.

It’s so unfortunate that in our culture, we normalize men “simply being men” and not holding them accountable with their actions. Throughout this issue and other past love team on/off cam break ups, it’s so common to hear na “ganun talaga yang mga lalake” or “it’s something men can’t control,” as if men can’t choose to follow through with those temptations.
