Just discovered your channel. Wow 🤩 just wow. Beautiful landscapes, beautiful cars and very sympathetic overall!! I live in Switzerland, a Beautiful country, definitely! But these sunsets, landscape, fauna and views is superb! I drive a 100 series 2003 myself, just the petrol V8, of which I think is even the better and smoother Engine for this great Vehicle. Almost 300.000 km, well maintenance and 0 problems. Original suspension, first exhaust, first all. Just time belt, brakes, oil, bougies, automatic transm. Oil change every 100k and injections - that’s it. Since 2007 daily 3 tons trailer in the back. Lots of snow and mountains in winter. This car just goes and goes and goes. Really enjoy these positive videos … and yes, namibia, simbabwe and botswana are now on my list. Thx mate for your content. Best greets from 2212 m over sealevel 🇨🇭
Fantastic review Ed! I like the fact that you used it for a year, in multiple weather conditions and still came away feeling very positive about the product. Pity about the price but you get what you pay for - cheap no good, good no cheap. Thanks again
Great review of the tent Ed . I have seen one at Frontrunner when they fitted my roofrack and i am glad to hear that they are worth the price. Thx for the informative video
Awesome review mate. Bang on. Some great features with the iKamper RTTs and they look the business. SkyKamp mini is definitely an RTT that makes your trips allot more efficient and convenient. A great share bud 🤙
You know, I am not a camping guy, love the guesthouses and chalets an wildlife though, but you almost make me wish I could go on a trip with you. If you do decide to raffle a trip to the Kgalagadi or the Serengeti with you, I'll be right in there, bidding big time!!! Love your videos..... mint😁
Ed rhanks for your feedback and pro and cons on the IKAMPER but as you say their is also some great RTT so after almost two years of forward and back my besluit is toe Eezy Awn se Blade RTT will fit it at the factory 19 Oktober 2021 thanks again for a great episonde
Gidday, Edward Cheers for the interesting vid. Most informative. There is no doubt - whether you make a vid about wild dogs hunting or about a rtt, it is well made and enjoyable. Thanks again and God bless, Dave
Thanks for sharing. I have 4Runner and I am wondering the the total roof carting weight of the the vehicle in order not to damage the structure of the vehicle… do you the the the weight capacity ?
Watched this and 2x, review, considering the 2X because it’s light, no flip and can be put on load bars and leave beddings inside. Fuel and wood I will let my convoy carry for me 🤣🤣🤣
We have also invested in the Ikamper mini and agree with all that you have said about it. We also have the quick detachable mounts and our only complaint is that we find those to be quite noisy when traveling on the dirt roads. Have you or others found this to be the case, thank you
It’s a great tent for sure! The front of the mounts need to be mounted at an angle inwards in order for the tent to clamp down with no noise or vibration 🙏
Good review Ed. 👍 They are good tents no doubt and the weight is great too. But they are expensive. Interesting if someone could bring in the Falcon tents from the US - which are very similar, but cheaper. What would be interesting is if you did a back-to-back with the new Jackal tent that Ryan has just fitted. 😉 Similar concept but a few differences. Know that might be tricky for u guys but that would be useful👍
Thanks mate! All tents here are expensive, the Alu Cab and Bundutop are similarly priced and much heavier. With regards to the Jackal one, it looks like a great tent for the price but ease of use and some of the materials won’t hold up like an ikamper in my opinion but we will have to see out there in the bush 🙌 with regards to weight, nothing comes close to the iKamper’s
Hello Ed. Do you really need a hard-shell tent support channels from Front Runner if you are using quick release brackets on iKamper skycamp mini? And ty for the great review😊
Ed, interested to know how you use that Eezi Awn shower cubicle with the tent on? Does it open up underneath the tent or do you just fold the tent away to use it?

Great video Ed - very informative. Thanks. Just wondering, would the 2X fit on your trailer?
Thanks Alan! Yes it does 🙏
Good review Ed. 👍

What are you doing with the other tent? Selling it or keeping it? Also what one thing would you add or change about this tent?
I have moved the 2X onto my trailer🙌 if you could leave bedding inside it would make a big difference 👌
I collect mine on Monday
Awesome Fergus! Enjoy it 🙌
Hello Ed. Do you really need a hard-shell tent support channels from Front Runner if you are using quick release brackets on iKamper skycamp mini?
And ty for the great review😊
Hey mate! Thanks so much! What do you mean by the support channels? 🙌
Ed, interested to know how you use that Eezi Awn shower cubicle with the tent on? Does it open up underneath the tent or do you just fold the tent away to use it?
Hey mate! Unfortunately you can’t have the ladder down and cube open at the same time
there was a lot of canvas hanging out when you closed it, over the cab, isn'th at a pain to reach?
Nah I just didn’t do a very good job that time 😂 it’s very easy just to lift the lid a little and tuck it in 🙌
Hi Ed. Thanks for the great review. Just bought my Mini. Is your tent also mounted a little bit off centre to compensate for the side awning?
Thank you Zak! No it’s mounted in the centre and then I have the low awning brackets for the awning to work 🙌
I heard in other videos that the mattress is thin and not comfy.
It comes down to personal preference
Still trying to wrap my head on the price of this thing before pulling the trigger on one.
Worth it in my opinion. The pricing is competitive with other brands considering that the tents are imported 🙌
