Shout out to Rezzonator for taking my simple question and following through with an amazing tutorial. Sending good karma and a couple paypal bucks your way m8!
Good stuff, messed around with this the other day and got mixed results, hopefully this small tutorial can get my little TB3 singing properly in Ableton this time. Cheers!
Don't think you can import patterns direct into the TB03 as far as I am aware but if you put it in pitch mode and play a oattern from Ableton it will 'record' the notes into it
I try to follow this procedure but my midi ctrl line appear blue and did not change nothing on the sound, even the Number 12 on my ableton Is named "generalprupose1" and not "controller" like in your midi implementation:( even the others parameter isn t changing the sound idk why
Thank you for this! Im having an issue with abelton 11 ... when at (5.11 in your video) I can't seem to get the red up, everything is blue for me and the note is unaffected! What have I down wrong???
Thanks for your video, as usual so inspiring! One question, do you know if it is possible to export MIDI tracks from Deluge? I’ve heard of downrush supposedly it is possible thanks again
That backround noise come from tb-03 usb. You should use wall wart adapter to power it up 😎 it is common issue when powering roland boutiques via usb. If you want midi then use 5pin midi din cable ✌🏻
Nice video Rezzonator but it's not working for me, as soon as I extend a note over the next the TB-03 mutes that note! Anyone know what i'm doing wrong?
Yes the slide is usually done by overlapping. I think as the TD3 is all analogue it may well act differently to the TB03 with midi messages. Think you're probably right as well on the accent
Hey, Just wanted to ask. When I write the midi notes in the sound keeps coming out my 03 machines but doesn't come out of my laptop. is there any way to solve this?
@@rezzonator Would be great if you could bro! Would help a bunch. Also the glide doesn't work for me, it only plays one note at a time and if over lap it won't glide it'll just play the note. super strange, any thing I can do their too?
It's just not the same as the TB-303/TB-03 real sound and mode if you do it this way. Really you should program it directly on the instrument's built in sequencer. Otherwise you're really missing on the real experience and the hands-on of it. It's pointless even having the hardware in the first place if that's they way you primarily want to use it.

Awesome thanks!
Applicable to behringer td-03 also? Thanks
tried but didnt work I think, or I did smth wrong
What if you want two legato notes but no pitch slide between them ?
DUDE. THANK YOU. This is what I needed to do.
superb. thanks very much !
brilliant! just what i was after - thanks man
is it possible to import midi from ableton to rolland?

Awesome video, thank you man.
Have you by chance done something similar with the Analog Four using Ableton ?

just playing around with this, and on the piano roll the velocity controls the accent?
Idem like you Bro idk why

Not sure. I'll have a look into it. Its not something Ive managed to do as yet. Would be useful
I would appreciate a video on it thanks

Can this be done in Korg Gadget 2 or Cubasis3 ?
Yes I'm pretty sure I've done the same thing with Gadget
@@rezzonator Awesome, Thanks
I’m trying to send midi cc 102 from elektron syntakt’s sequencer to tb-03 but the slide doesn’t seem to work :(
Not really sure how the electron works. Only thing I can think of initially is to make sure that the notes you want to slide overlap each other

I have the same issue. Let me know if you ever solved this.
When I choose the 16. envelope the line is blue not red and does nothing, do you know how i can fix this?
I have just the same problem, have you solved it already?
Not had chance to have a look at this yet
Hm Is it maybe because I'm. using a TD-3 not a TB-03 :-D
I tried around and I think for TD-3 in Ableton the Accent is done by the NOTE VOLUME and the Slide by OVERLAPPING NOTES. Can someone confirm this?

You would need to route the audio from the output back into your computer. Probably easiest if I do a video to show you

Leave it with me...I'll try and get a video done this week. 👍
@@rezzonator cheers bro, let me know about the glide as well cause im in a pickle here haha
@@rezzonator hey bro, any updates on the video?
