Being a driver is not easy as drivers have to be in the seat for long just for income. This income doesn’t mean covers everyday’s needy for that driver’s family. Customer will depart from 1 point to another point and thats it. But driver will continue to look for customer. Its not demanding for pay extra, the word if you willing to tip for more will be grateful. If you not wish to give, is not a crime. Customer can rate easily but they don’t know how it will affect the rice bowl. You are capable to use paying service ride mean, you able to understand the hard-work of a driver. Everyone is struggling to make money, its not easy to make 50rs easily. You are saying driver's are sitting on same place for the long drive. Consider other professionals, they may stand long time, the may walk long mile, they may need to work on sunny/rainy time.
I'm saying this just to explain everyone are struggling to make money. Not comparing any profession.
One more thing, before ola/uber in picture, cab and auto drivers charging double the amount, as we customer we need to pay whatever they asked that time. Now we got some details what is the correct fair.
If he feels he getting low salary, they have their taxi association, raise complains and get solutions from ola/uber. It's not acceptable to take money from the customer directly.
Moreover rahul is not supporting for corporates companies uber/ola, and if you really concerned about drivers/public, then why you promoting rummy app in each prank... Its because of only money...

But, if driver is asking for an extra amount, then denying the same is customers' choice right?. All people are earning money, all are working hard to support their families. Money is same for all. As a customer.....it is our choice whether to give extra or not....driver shouldn't force or ask for extra....even customers know what is going on n if they receive proper customer service....they will definitely give him extra for service.
You cannot do the same in a hotel or restaurant right....if they like the service they will give tips to hotel guy..... you're trying to grab the driver's attention on the video but look at the customer side as well.
If the driver is facing a fare problem....they need to unite together n solve it with corporate.

Even for a customer there is a family right, are they stealing money and using cab? Even they are earning what is the point If they are threatened, offcourse they rate the drivers to the company, because they use app to book their ride not directly call the drivers and look for a ride.
The bill fare is GST included if we book the cab privately non of the drivers gives bill. They don’t even have a proper registration of travel and tourism. Where is the safety with them.
So stop asking tips with customer, if they really want a tips request tips after ride not beginning of ride mannerless beggars.
It's a big issue today, past 1 year this issue was going on. We leave from one place to other on certain emergency/entertainment/work related, If we book a ride, the app shows the estimated trip fare. We accept and book the ride, in this case we can pay only the trip fare. Drivers are not supposed to ask for extra fare after estimated fare is shown. If he can't undertake a ride with the estimate fare why should he work under ola?? If the fare given by ola is not sufficient for him why should he work for that? He can take ride on his own and charge whatever is reasonable for him. Instead Showing one estimate fare and charging other or demanding extra fare is completely ILLEGAL and unfair. Taking our MOOD OFF at the beginning of the trip.
Tips or extra fare can be given voluntarily based on the genuineness or polite nature of the driver.
It CAN be given. NOT SHOULD be given.

If driver is not happy with the payment by corporates. Come out of it or raise your concern to them, not to passenger. No body is forcing drivers to work under OLA/UBER.

I would never forget one ride experienced with uber cab driver with my mother and sister. So rude, impolite, he didn't even on the Ac for full ride inspite me requested him, didn't even care that ladies too travel in hot conditions without Ac. I gave unsafe travel as review with impolite driver mentioned specifically but no response came from uber.

Brother, i just watched the video on 20th July. First of all i like this guy @Rahul and no doubt about it. Let me give you a scenario, me and family wanted to go to central to take train and we were booking cabs from Abattur. No one accepting and finally one person accepted and asked for extra and i told them i will give 100 also you please come so that our train should not miss. He didnt turn up and re assign the trip another person came and when i asked what could be the possible reason of cancelling and he said few customers say that they pay extra but they will not post dropping at destination.
Its not about the customers and drivers, its about @ola or @uber who need to revise their rates or share to drivers considering the current cost of living. Only then the problem solves. Or its an irritating business always to keep requesting drivers to come and they keep cancelling if they feel they dont get right margin.

If a driver is not satisfied with the quoted payment, then why did he accept the ola trip?! Instead the drivers can approach customers directly without any third party apps and they can charge their own expected amount. But accepting quoted trips in apps and later fighting with the passenger for extra charges doesn't make any sense.

That's why many people book trip in ola or uber and the reason is only the affordable price. Their choise is not luxury and comfort instead they want to travel within the affordable cost. Please don't compare the passengers with those who are paying 2000 or 3000 in five star hotels. Everybody is not that rich. And I'm not only supporting the passengers. Drivers also need to earn for their family I agree that. But what I am saying is cab drivers can approach the customers directly and charge their expected amount. But drivers shouldn't charge extra when they come through apps and the amount is already quoted. If drivers are not happy with the charges which quoted in apps, simply uninstall the apps and go-ahead directly and earn more. Drivers have the choice.
