Its called a "wake" and its turbulence that comes out of the engines (pretty much the air thats passed through). It can turn planes of course and has been the subject of a few accidents. Especially after a departing 747 you should wait a reasonable amount of time because of the power all its 4 engines produce. Weather the A321 has much less engine power and you don't have to wait very long before the wake clear. Oh and i stand corrected if i'm wrong
When a B747 turns from side to front views its a fusion of an African bull elephant and a Killer Whale... Majestic indeed 👌🏽👌🏽 A380 just has an extra large forehead 😂😅
Boeing 747 The Boeing 747, which is also known as the jumbo jet, is the largest passenger airliner in service. However, it will be surpassed by the Airbus A380 which is scheduled to enter service in late 2006. The four engine 747, produced by Boeing Commercial Airplanes, uses a two deck configuration where the small upper deck is usually used for business class. A typical three class layout
That Jet2 who was cleared to lineup behind the 747 didn't readback his clearance correctly. Law states you must readback the fact "Behind the 747, line up behind", so the controller can be certain you are going to lineup behind and not ahead of the 747. Seems like they cut corners in the UK compared to Australia.
Question...the 747 is cleared for takeoff almost immediately after the A321 takes off, but why do they wait such a long time to clear the plane behind the 747 for takeoff? My guess is wake turbulence concerns since the 747 uses so much power on takeoff, but in case I'm wrong somebody give me another possible reason.
The Roar of 747 is something else 🔥 happy to have travelled by it ❤️

ALLAHUAKBAR
Not sure if it is the camera angle but it looked like a steep take-off

The 747 is more heavier so probably it can stand it the turbulence of the other Departing aircraft
Mashallha
RB211 or JT9D?
@sanandreas6 You think that's loud? Wait till you hear a C-5, C-17, F-15 or at least an EA-6B takeoff, your ears will bleed! =D
