H perm makes sense because halfway through the H perm it forms an H. Also, Z perm should be called the 11 perm. I also think the E perm should be called the C perm, not H perm.

The A-perms' names are even more convincing when adding a U-move and creating a 4e2c diagram for it.

The following is a 100% real story.
This happened in a Spanish forum. Some newbie guy started learning CFOP and complained that a PLL case was missing in literally every single list. He was really annoyed that no one before him noticed the missing PLL case.
He named the case X-perm and described it as all edges permuted and corners diagonally permuted.
Facepalm.

My favorite definitely legitimate cubing term that I certainly didn't make up, is when you switch which layer is misaligned in a square one alg- instead of going (-1, - 1) or (1, 1), it's just called a swippy.

Z perm is two parallel lines. Parallel lines never cross. But you know what does cross? Right, a cross. So an X. X.... X-perm (referred to as H-perm by the common people). So a Z-perm is basically the opposite of X-perm. What's the opposite of X? That's right, a tick. Therefore, Z-perm should be called a tick-perm.
Also, I'd love to see more of these satirical videos. Love it! I wanna see more comedy in the cubing community.

For the Z Perm I would just go with a "C" Perm if you imagine another line between the red and blue edge pieces or the orange and green edge pieces (I know it is almost the same principle as why it was called a "Z" Perm in the first place, but it would fit in that case as well).
X-Perm (for H-Perm) makes a lot of sense if you think about the corners rather than the edges :)

Actually the H Perm could be a H. If you line up the edges with their respective centres, it seems more like a corner swap, those corners making a H shape. It'd still be executed with the corners lined up, not the edges unless you want to AUF.
