    Thanks for your support!!
Keith Hunter Jesperson (born April 6, 1955) is a Canadian-American serial killer who murdered at least eight women in the United States during the early 1990s. He was known as the "Happy Face Killer" because he drew smiley faces on his many letters to the media and prosecutors. Many of his victims were sex workers and transients who had no connection to him. Strangulation was his preferred method of murdering, the same method he often used to kill animals as a child.

Well, it *could* happen to anyone I suppose, though I can't see myself turning in my innocent boyfriend and confessing that we both committed a murder when we didn't! I take your point that innocent people get convicted more than most people know, but remember that these 2 people initially confessed - the man admittedly under duress, but the woman simply because she was nuts.

If Lavern had never "stepped into that case" the real killer wouldn't have felt the need to send letters claiming credit. In fact the entire reason the murder got so much attention was bc a granny confessed, NOT bc of the brutality or horrific nature of the crime itself. Plus the ONLY reason they got convicted was bc police didn't have anything else to go on as they didn't even have a crime scene let alone suspects.

I’m on the fence as to whether the rape and murder of 8 women may very well be (somehow) less fucked up than a woman falsely admitting to taking part in a murder just to vindictively get back at her ex. If not “as bad” it’s definitely more perplexing.

Pavlinac falsely confessed that the two of them strangled and disposed of the body of Taunja Bennett. She retracted her confession, claiming she made it to escape her abusive 10 year relationship with Sosnovske. Sosnovske's conviction was vacated, but Pavlinac's was not. Admittedly she never should have lied but looking at the pictures of the two of them, he looks like a piece of shit. So, Pavlinac is still on the books as a murderer even though she didn't kill anyone. She was punished for telling lies and has been dead for 18ish years. Hope this piece of news makes all the haters happy. Enjoy the rest of your day.
