If this impresses you, wait until you hear a well tuned car with dsp processing. It's mind boggling good.
Facts, brands like Harman Kardon, Bang and Olufsen, Burmester, Meridian sound decent compared to their standard system counterparts. But a self-installed system is not only often cheaper but sounds way better.
Great review. I just picked up an E400 and the sound system is incredible.
Enjoy it
wow at last somebody good taste in music
Best car audio system I’ve owned…
Caddilac has/had a rare top tier Bose system with like 32 speakers with a Gilzillion watts. 😝 It's only in a specific model and it isn't escalade. Although that size vehicle must be fantastic. Had a 92 Lexus sc with the Nakamichi. Probably the 1st high end in a factory built car. It was just fantastic. I would listen to queen and it was plus Bliss! Today's systems are nuts!😜 Nice choice of sounds. Much better than Axponia show music!🙄😜
I'm interested in hearing the sub integration; especially due to its front dash placement. My BMW has two subs. One under each front seat. Perfectly placed, imo. People ask if I have subs in the trunk.
It’s ok at best. I have the same car. Mine is a 2017 with this exact system. The 8” subs in the floor by your feet have bass but they don’t play that low. The sound stage is good and right over the dash as well as pretty wide but if you like high end and expect deep lows you don’t get it with the stock speakers.
PS Sound has been upgrading these and has some good videos for both the Benz and the BMWs.
Pretty sure balance/fade changes speaker volumes while the front seat staging is changing dsp stuff like eq and time alignment for a proper stereo image
It appeared to have a very similar effect. It didn't completely lower the rear speakers when fading it forward using the front seat staging. But moving it to rear didn't lower the sub either. So I left it at front which sounded best in the driver seat
Definitely dsp adjustment. No way the 'front staging' is the same as the fade function.
@@doublet147 maybe not the same or there wouldn't be the option to adjust it. It definitely moves the sound stage around. But it wasn't a huge difference with the kind of audio people will listen to in their car
The car has 2 subs, 1 in each front footwell, behind the brake peddle on the drivers side and in the same location on the passenger side. The speaker grill on the dash is a big midrange centre speaker. The left and right doors are midrange and the tweeters are behind the black grills on the pillars.
Moving to the rear of the car, you have midrange and tweeters on each door and another set of midrange speakers on the parcel shelf behind the rear passengers, these 2 are mainly for the surround sound though.
If anyone figures out how to get full range output to the parcel shelf speakers, please share. Surround sound is pretty pointless for music, I'd rather just have the left and right channels coming out of their respective sides all the way from front to back with the centre speaker acting as a mono between left & right.
Whats the Impedance on the subs?
The loudness setting is actually good for cars at low volumes. Pretty crap for home theater though lol
Wow those odometers are so cool! The real thing unlike the digital displays. The design has gotten worse with time.
great video ! scared the **** outa my wife , I thought the last owner of our 2018 E300 blew the rear subs or something lol. I was wondering why no bass was coming from the rear 😂. Great video again..answered my questions and concerns.
Haha no problem
Great video! Keep the content coming you gonna blow up brotha
I appreciate it my friend
Dude your pop music selection is fantastic!
Thank ya
Kyle loves car stereo ❤❤❤
*Correction* I love music
@@Kpaceguy 😂🤣😭 very true you would be listening on a tricycle if it had a booming system😂
@@keepingupwiththejones2933 I have before
at the rear mirror have 2 speaker, its is woofer or?😅 because i just realise its like no sound?
Nice car wish I could afford it.😪 What size is the Woofer? I'm guessing an Eight. I want to hear the 32 speaker system. It's got to be Insane!!
you should be able to now. a 2018 is under 20k now, just make sure you have 5k just in case something happens
Is this the same system in a 2017 E300 4matic?
Probably a similar configuration
Impedance? 2ohm or 4ohm?
Probably 2
They are 4ohms, except for the two subs in the firewall which are 2oms.
It has Dolby atmos?
Not this particular one
@@Kpaceguy can you please do a dolby Atmos review on a Mercedes car? I can’t find any on RUclips. Also they said it would be available by this summer so yea
@@adelam8670 I'd have to track down a Mercedes with the 20+ speaker system. I'm more than happy to do it for you
Sub is not in the dash 😅
According to the specs, it is
@@Kpaceguy the two subs are in the footwell area not dash, in the dash it's a center midrange
@anon8613 I knew the center was there, but the technical term they call their "footwell" sub is in-dash.
Crazy wasp gosh smh
1 milion adds... bleah
Good review but try not to say "you guys" in every sentence, its ok with just "you".
"You" isn't plural
