i once had a very boring outdoors job and one summer our boss bought us a salt gun and let me tell u it definitely works and was definitely fun. we’d just spend hours shooting flies
man! I didn't know that there is a third version of the Bug A Salt. I have the second version. I'm going to upgrade right away. Try using it against a sheet of aluminum foil.

Got myself a bug-a-salt years ago. Got a real gun laser sight attached (the one made for the bug-a-salt is garbage) plus a holster. Love the thing. Used it several times.

1 bit dacs are actually very much a thing. They are in fact almost certainly in every audio device you use, even high quality ones. They are also called delta-sigma-dacs or pdm dacs. PDM (pulse density modulation) is somewhat simmilar to pwm, as in that it uses only two states or one bit to represent an analog value, but because of various math reasons pdm is better at recreating an analog signal than pwm when applying a low pass filter to it. The tradeoff is that you need a much higher output samplerate to compensate for the lost analog values but as it turns out, samplerates many magnitudes faster than what audio needs are easily achievable. So instead of outputting one single 16 bit sample we output a whole bunch of 1 bit samples (8 bit or 256 samples per sample is common and because of how audio behaves generally enough). Making the dac go faster is much simpler and cheaper than making it output more different values and turns out it is also much easier to make a dac that behaves linearly this way.
Tl:dr 1-bit dacs are everywhere and unless your device speciffically says it is multi bit it is probaply 1-bit and that is perfectly fine.

Don't even have to get rechargeable AA's. You can buy packs that slot into the battery compartment and have a usb c. You can charge your pack and when the pack eventually dies (as all batteries do) you can pull it out and replace it with another pack. Xbox's implementation and using the batteries is by far the superior option. There's a reason why so many 360 controllers are still around and still in use despite being wireless and battery powered. It's because they gave you a readily replaceable option.
Agreed, I still rock a XBox 360 with a wireless controller, the batteries die...10 seconds to replace them and game on!
they literally could have put a charge port on the controller and included rechargeable batteries though. or if they dont want to risk someone charging it with non-rechargeable batts in, have a cheap wall or even cheaper usb charger separately from the controller
@@TheHenirik It's not Microsoft responsibility to make sure people use a certain type of battery or not. They give you the freedom to use what you want. And I mean they 100% did offer the plug and play charging kits. It's just aftermarket companies offered the usb c chargers after the fact. Which again is something that would have been impossible if they didn't allow replacing the batteries in such easy fashion. USB c didn't exist when 360's end of life came around.
@@exturkconner wouldn't be impossible but much easier with the Xbox system yes, it would really incentive people to actually use rechargeable batteries if it came with them though, and nothing stops them from having them as easily replaceable as they are
@@TheHenirik No it would have been impossible. USB-C didn't exist at the time. You can't retroactively put a port in physical item. Unless it's got a pack like the microsoft controllers.
Things you should know about CVS. First, a few years ago, it bought Aetna for $70 BILLION. Was it worth the price? Nope. Aetna has been bleeding money ever since. So what does CVS do? Two things. First, when you run your prescription through CVS, its computers automatically switch your insurance coverage to Aetna, even though you never had Aetna in your life. For example, I had a prescription with a $40 copay. But then CVS ran it through Aetna and the copay suddenly became $495. CVS said such a thing was impossible (though I had caught it doing the same thing in California several years ago). So it sent its regional manager into my local CVS. Same thing happened to him because it was intentional. Second thing. The Aetna folks convinced CVS to open Minut Clinics in most of its stores. Took a lot of valuable and profitable selling space and gave it to the clinics run by Aetna. What happened? No one used these clinics, so CVS lost billions of dollars nationally because it had given up valuable selling space. Now CVS has to convince its vendors to come back and restore things to the way they were, but the vendors are charging multi-millions to do that-and CVS has to pay. This is a company in a lot of financial trouble. So why should you be surprised if nothing you buy there doesn't work as expected. the new CVS goal is to take as much money from you as it can without actually giving you anything of worth.
As a non-American I need an explanation, I imagine that Insurance is something that you have to pay for. As in, someone has to _actually do a transaction,_ so how does one suddenly get to be automatically signed up for insurance?
I hated dealing with them the few times I tried getting meds there, and the prices on their other stuff is nuts. Use local or regional pharmacies if you can folks lol

Those batteries in PS4 controllers, especially 3rd party ones, die. May as well have rechargable double AAs you can switch out when they die, or even charge while you play if you want with their pack. Options. I like options.

There actually are 1-bit DACs. Including on audiophile CD players, so no, this isn't just for NES and Atari audio. They actually can handle regular 16bit audio, they just make it work harder but the sound is generally smoother than 16bit DACs that are technically better but have that sharper sound to them that people tend to associate with digital audio. Think of it like how a 64core CPU is not necessarily better than a really good quad core on just gaming.

I had those exact same sony earbuds as a kid. Dankpods just had them in a video as well. It's crazy I spend hundreds of hours using them, loved the transparent blue but that's about all they have going.
4:46 Coby was my first CD player, I ever had. It's sensitive to bumps, and worked for years. This is what I used on the school bus, before MP3's,IPODs, and after cassette player's. Although I've never really owned a IPOD since they came out, I'm always under the impression that,"Apple products are EXPENSIVE." that is by no means an excuse to not get them that is just my impression of them. I have the same mouse pad. I thought mine was defective until I saw it in the video. It's not defective, it's just bad. I just don't plug it in. It doesn't deserve a USB port.
That gaming mouse is rebranded more than Amazon products. They sell it for basically 40$ at Dave and busters
A 1 bit Dac just means an on/off switch for analog to digital audio so while it's technically a dac there's no real processing happening
that mouse looks like the exact mouse I got at a dollar store in Canada .. it was $4 canadian .. super light ... cheap plastic .. but actually works well ... well worth the $4

Rechargeable NiMH batteries are only 1,2v instead of the 1,5v alkaline or these Li-Ion AA's have. Also, NiMH have a far sharper voltage drop when being in use, making them inferior batteries.

Currently at Walmart for $15.88 when purchased online (can pick up in store)
