The backing track is in B minor so, the natural minor scale (Aeolian mode), minor pentatonic, blues scale all work.

Why do ppl play at the beginning of a backing track?
Hi J, thanks for the comment, it helps me provide better content. This subject comes up now and again, some people like the solo as it gives them an idea of what they can do and I try to include tips on scale choice etc, some people hate it. Normally I include a time stamp for people to jump to the unadulterated solo. But my most viewed videos do not include solos so I am thinking of posting two videos one a play-through and lesson, and the other a backing track.

@@rafetizer I agree! And i feel its becoming a trend on most backings. people should come up with their own ideas thats why i search for a track to play on. A musically inclined person should be able to listen.. and come up with an idea. even if takes listening to the whole track. rewind and unwind that idea you came up with. I feel the solo is a distraction and can throw off a mood , riff, or idea a person might have had. Like sometimes not knowing a song but having the chords thrown at your face you come up with your own riffs and bam you made that eagles song sound like somethin pantera would put out R.I.P. dime n vinnie.. Maybe good for beginners? great track otherwise! Thanks for your contribution!

what time signature are you using and whats the bpm?
The tempo in my project(Reaper Yeahhhhhh) is 130 bpm and is in 4/4, the rhythm guitars do give the feel of a different time signature but it all fits so I could cut and paste it....... as you can probably tell I am no Adam Neely when it comes to this sort of thing.
This backing track is in 4/4?
@@whome806 I just checked and listened with a metronome and it worked with 4/4, if you email me via the 'about' page of this channel I could send you an mp3 of the track with metronome. I would not be surprised if you could use a different time signature but I used 4/4 to map out the riffs and drums.
What is the tempo and time sig.

the backing track is great man, but i have to say that the ending kinda sucked since it's just very abrupt and doesn't give you any kind of build up, besides that, great track man
Thanks for the comment Liam. This is the problem with backing tracks, some people want the same 8 bars repeated over and over to practice with and some people want more involved tracks like you mentioned, I try to do both depends on how much time I have.

Please add a skip or pop your solo at the end so people who cant solo are not immeditaley put off once they hear you, thanks!
