Just a thought: it's probably just me but the video feels a bit sad. Wistful, almost. The protagonists of the Assassin's Creed games are all fictional, but something in the way this video was shot makes it appear like this man from centuries back is strolling through the streets of a city that's no longer his.
Rick Boer did an AMAZING job with this cosplay, it's just PERFECT; he really hit the image of Arno with the face, the clothes, even the way he walks! So it creates (for me) this really strange effect where I see this century-old assassin walking through modern Paris, just taking in the sights of how his home has changed. Or, alternatively, he's doing so as a ghost rather than a living man - a remnant of what used to be, of history. His services are no longer needed, rendered obsolete by time, but he continues to wander Paris to keep a watchful eye over his beloved city, either as a long-since-dead ghost or an old man whose face hasn't changed in years.
Whiiiiiiich of course then led me to think: how many other ghosts might there be wandering, metaphorical or otherwise? Though the protagonists of Assassin's Creed are fictional, they are inspired by true events. Real assassins, real battles, real people who died in these historical events portrayed in these games. How many of them roam marveling at how the world has changed, and continue to watch the sun rise and set over their old cities?
I shouldn't get so philosophical on a cosplay video but this is just why I love AC so much. ; v ;

TheMCricket Devinsupertramp has the free-run skills that's for sure. But he doesn't have the Cosplay skills that this guy has. Look at that costume! It's just like he stepped out of the game, he did a really great job on that!
The problem is that you'll hardly find someone who can freerun in a costume that detailed. I've tried, it's not very practical. To freerun, you'll have to be 100% sure that every belt and weapon is safely stored away and won't suddenly poke you in the face. Even then, if the costume and/or accessories are heavy, they may still throw you off balance.
I'm assuming that is why Devinsupertramp has very simplified costumes and Rick Boer doesn't do much freerunning.
Edit: apparently Devin isn't the one who freeruns, but yeah, same goes for the guys in his videos.

I'm absolutely in love with Rick Boer! His make-up is done so perfect that he actually looks like he has stepped straight out of Assassin's Creed: Unity! I ultimately fangirl over this cosplay, it is so well done! I love Rick, and he is one of the best Arno cosplayers out there. Thank you for making me have faith in Assassin's Creed cosplayers yet again!

I'd love to see it when it's posted! My friends really wanted me to go an AC group with them. So I decided to go a head and try, right now we have Arno, Elise, Ice Cream, and my self as Greencoat. We just need a axeman.
I decided to start some what small and work on Altair, but sew it using 11th century stitching. I've got just about everything but the armor and props done now. I've very happy with how it's coming out so far. It's given me convinced in my self. :)

I always think of it this way; it has been done before. Therefore, its possible to do it. Who knows, maybe you'll hit on the same idea they had, maybe not, but you learn the most while just fooling around. Just sew what you can and work on the leather later? I hope you've learned a lot since you wrote it! (also, if you have any sewing tips like, I dunno, what helped you start and stuff, that'd be very welcome)
Guys stop whining, the guy is just a cosplayer! You don't instantly learn how to parkour in an Assassin's cosplay, damn! Also that costume is way to pretty and detailed to put it at risk by doing all that, after working so hard on something like that I wouldn't risk it. Awesome vid!

This is an absolutely brilliant cosplay. There is no doubt about that in the slightest bit. The level of detail and whatnot is breath taking. But as some people say, I believe it looks kind of fake due to such detail. I'm not saying it's bad. No, not at all. But there's so much shading on the costume itself to the point it looks unnatural. It doesn't look like clothes and actual fabric. It looks like plastic; like an action figure. There's too much detail, it's overwhelming to the eyes.
By far the greatest AC cosplay ever. Even his face looks like him! And the outfit isn't baggy or loose, everything just flows perfectly.
