I just started using this this last week myself. An easier way to do it on the fly i found, is to not use the journals, and just let the scene go on via actors. The module has macros you can hotbar, and press one to start the convo (blank by default), then the other, you can plug NPCs in as needed. If its' something you'll do more often (like my party has some hirelings for example) I save -those- groups for loading up. But the macro-based method has been much easier to use than trying to add/remove a ton into various journals. Though downside, you do lose the cool faction thing you have there- but that's not something I'm utilizing in my game. May ponder if/how to go about it though. Anyway, figured I'd share!
Just came across your stuff there yesterday evening, and binged a whole load of the shorter content, i particularly love the evolution of the town/scene setup to this conversation HUD. Question for you: do you have the list of the modules you use handy or have you done a recent review of them all - conscious that you’ve just switched to PF2E but I find myself in a similar boat.
I havent done reviews of all the modules for pathfinder but i do have my current llist. docs.google.com/document/d/1YLlAGh0Y6ONKs-9O-9gbNVPouNMHbgZn57pE41NeaXg/edit?usp=sharing
looks cool. what is the players side of it? do they see the exact same screen? or is their perspective only the pic of the npc you have clicked on? Oh i see it answered below. My concern would be that someone you dont want the players to see.
@@AxiumVTT that's good. I see this being useful in situations, like a tavern, where you want to have several potential conversations set up but don't want to necessarily reveal who all the import characters are all at once.
@@jasonr.6123 yeah you can build a conversation on the fly if your okay with just using the token art. If you select the square option from the module options that seems to work best for art or tokens.
@@AxiumVTT I was going to ask that too. This looks really useful for the Theatre of the mind scenes in my 1e ADnD campaign but ideally I don't really want to reveal all the characters to my players until they meet them. But thanks for a great vid. Has given me some ideas.
"I'm not the best with the voices.." I feel your pain. I always wished I could have done better voices.
Yeah it’s nice to get a visual aid on screen for those of us who are not voice actors by trade :-)

Completely agree yes this is on the way from what the developer seems to suggest.
This option has now been added to the latest relase so you can set it so you players can only now see the NPC you clicked on.
What is this like from a player perspective? Do they just see the active participant or do they see the entire list of people in the conversation?
Right now they see the active and the list but the developer is going to add the option that players will only see the active participant.
