I was diagnosed with Lyme's disease when I was a kid and lived with it all my life...no one should make fun of Justin for the diagnosis...but people, like me, were pissed off that he used my disease as an excuse to act like a complete mess. Yeah sometimes it sucks...there has been days when I can't get out of bed...but I would never want pity for it and I would never act like a complete ass hole and think it's excusable because I have Lyme's disease. That's the issue.

The timing of releasing that he has it 2 years later is suspect. Since he had time to mature, his music should’ve reflected that. Yummy sounds like something Jason Derulo would sing. Purpose was his best album so far. The lyrics and the music. I would’ve waited on a good song, or collaborate with a songwriter to make a masterpiece than to put something like “Yummy” out as my comeback song. Demi Lovato came back with Anyone, that was a powerful song that SHE WROTE. It can be a hit without having lyrics that sound elementary. He shouldn’t play sympathy card late just to sell the song. Skinny people get diabetes all the time. It is not a FAT person desease. I know plenty of SKINNY people with diabetes and several overweight people without diabetes. People just use that against fat people because they don't see a fat person as pretty to watch or look at as a thinner person. Thats what it boils down to. Diabetes or health has nothing to do with most peoples opinion. They just simply see fat as ugly, period. And get angry when fat people can make it to celeb status. I agree with you. I don’t understand why people always think it’s fat shaming when it’s not. I work for medical providers who constantly tell their patients the risks of obesity. Are the providers fat shaming? Absolutely not, they are educating the patient on the importance of caring for one’s health. And those providers sometimes don’t sugar coat it, but give it to you straight because they have to make the patient realize that they’re dealing with something serious or something that can become complicated. You don’t have to be that person’s doctor to know they are overweight. Jillian was just being honest, and I rather someone be honest and shine a light at the bigger issue, which is the health of the person. At the end of the day though, it’s that celebrity’s decision whether or not she does something about it.

ANY DONATION is considered a Tax rite off so it actually helps the person donating at tax time thats why all the people who donate tons of money are not bothered by it. It actually saves them money in the long run filing taxes because its used as a deduction.

Yes it is transmitted by saliva. He most likely contracted it during his partying days (or while cheating on Selena). Most cases of mono are acute for 3-6 months and then the fatigue, etc. subsides. When diagnosed you are told by doctors not to kiss your mate for at least 3 months post diagnosis. Chronic mono would mean he still has the symptoms but is no longer infectious - although some doctors argue this and say that mono can flare and become infectious again.

I believe Lizzo has discussed that she has some underlying health issues that contribute to her weight. Everything isn’t always as it seems. I am overweight but it’s because I’ve taken prednisone (a steroid that is known to cause weight gain and diabetes) for a very long time. I literally need this medicine to breathe bc my asthma is that bad. I hate that people assume all overweight people sit around and consume massive amounts of high-calorie food, and don’t do anything physically demanding. That may be the case for some people-but not all. Even then, it’s none of our business! Just because a person wears a size 2, and appears healthy, doesn’t guarantee they are healthy. People can have high cholesterol, be predisposed to cancer, or hypertension based on genetics. Sure there is a correlation to many health concerns when one is overweight, but that’s not always the case. We CANNOT assess a persons health based on appearance. Let’s stop the anti-fat rhetoric. She isn’t in and harm of illnesses and it was wrong for Jillian to assume that she would get one because of her weight.
Um, this is kinda a tangent, but I feel like the Amazon didn't get near as many donations and it's the world's biggest contributor of photosynthesis, which helps clear the world of the problematic issue we are seeing with CO2. Actually, it's one of the world's only buffers. Don't get me wrong, the brush fires are horrible and deserve attention, and they cover a larger range than what was burned in the Amazon; however, the Amazon is more environmentally detrimental and it got far less attention. Like if we lose the Amazon and it's contributions to our atmosphere, we could all die.

Yeah, I don't think the interviewer should have even brought up Lizzo, but Jillian isn't in the wrong. I, like many, have obesity run in my family; myself currently included. My mom has stage four liver cirrhosis due to being obese for so long. Any prescription that could help with her other health issues, her liver cannot process it. She's in pain all the time due to that fact. At stage five, she will need a transplant in order to live. That being said, I'm so fucking tired of the Body Positivity movement.! It was meant to support those who had struggled with weight due to health reasons and to create representation for a community of those who have felt ignored. All it has done was give those who are obese an excuse and as soon as someone has a deferring opinion we label them a fat-shamer. Body Positivity shouldn't have anything to do with censorship. If you wanna love you and your size then do so.! But you can't go around forcing people to accept obesity as healthy. Nor can you force others to accept you or think like you. It is your job to love and accept you, no one else's.
Uhm Lyme disease-all three stages are DEFINITELY curable🤦🏻♀️. The 3rd worst stage requires 28 days of antibiotics. The first is a 7-10 day round of common antibiotics. The infection is flu like and very awful for the suffering. However, it is only those that go for YEARS without being treated that can get “Post-Lyme disease syndrome”, from which most people STILL recover. He does not deserve hate; but it does not explain his ill looks and depressed state. I wish he would use his platform to raise awareness for early treatment and prevention versus whatever he IS doing:/

Guys, obviously no one should be sending Justin hate or shaming him for his diagnosis, but for all these comments saying “don’t compare peoples diseases that’s tacky”, here’s the thing. No one would be comparing the experiences of these two people if Haley and Justin didn’t so strongly support the hate being thrown at Selena when the truth about her Lupus broke. Lupus is ACTUALLY incurable. Selena knows one day this disease will kill her no matter how much she puts it off, and yet for years she’s gotten hate and shame for it, which must be so hard to read. As much sympathy as I have for Justin, Lyme disease IS CURABLE. Is it difficult to cure? Yes. Is it a serious disease? Yes. But when Selena was dealing with a DEADLY, INCURABLE DISEASE, Justin and his wife were openly supportive of all the trolls and haters who were trying to bring her down, but now that Justin is struggling with health issues Hayley has the audacity to speak out saying “no one should be spreading hate over a serious health condition”. Excuse me? That’s what SHE did. THATS what people are comparing. No one is saying Justin should get hate or that we shouldn’t support his health struggles, but it’s totally reasonable to compare these two experiences. If they really think it’s so unforgivable to hate on someone and shame them when they’re struggling with a serious disease, why did they do it themselves? There is no reason we should just excuse or forget their behaviour just because now they’re experiencing it themselves. Please be respectful no matter which side you’re on, but at the same time, please understand that no matter what struggles someone may be going through, it’s never an excuse for their own awful behaviour. I was diagnosed with Lyme's disease when I was a kid and lived with it all my life...no one should make fun of Justin for the diagnosis...but people, like me, were pissed off that he used my disease as an excuse to act like a complete mess. Yeah sometimes it sucks...there has been days when I can't get out of bed...but I would never want pity for it and I would never act like a complete ass hole and think it's excusable because I have Lyme's disease. Are the providers fat shaming? Absolutely not, they are educating the patient on the importance of caring for one’s health. And those providers sometimes don’t sugar coat it, but give it to you straight because they have to make the patient realize that they’re dealing with something serious or something that can become complicated. You don’t have to be that person’s doctor to know they are overweight. Jillian was just being honest, and I rather someone be honest and shine a light at the bigger issue, which is the health of the person. At the end of the day though, it’s that celebrity’s decision whether or not she does something about it.

Honestly, how would you feel if you felt force to give money? I am sure they donated money, and honestly its not anyones business to push someone to donate. I understand why people expect them too, but how would you feel, damn. I don't care for them much .

ANY DONATION is considered a Tax rite off so it actually helps the person donating at tax time thats why all the people who donate tons of money are not bothered by it. It actually saves them money in the long run filing taxes because its used as a deduction.

There’s a difference of loving ur body and using “body positivity” as an excuse for being too lazy to have healthier habits. It’s not fat shaming it’s wanting ppl to be healthy because being overweight will cause problems sooner and later just like being anorexic which I’m still overcoming which is also unhealthy and causes problems thats the discussion not fat shaming

It depends on the person. Sometimes you need to be harsh in order for things to get done. Not everyone is gonna kindly going to talk to you to lose weight because sometimes that form doesn’t work. That being said, michaels is right. I’m sick and tired of celebrities preaching about “being who you are” but the truth is, there are so many girls and boys out there who are overweight/obese and they probably feel like shit. Like they’re disgusting and don’t belong because of their weight and we have celebrities condoning unhealthy behavior to make these kids feel better.

Yes it is transmitted by saliva. He most likely contracted it during his partying days (or while cheating on Selena). Most cases of mono are acute for 3-6 months and then the fatigue, etc. subsides. When diagnosed you are told by doctors not to kiss your mate for at least 3 months post diagnosis. Chronic mono would mean he still has the symptoms but is no longer infectious - although some doctors argue this and say that mono can flare and become infectious again.

I believe Lizzo has discussed that she has some underlying health issues that contribute to her weight.
Everything isn’t always as it seems. I am overweight but it’s because I’ve taken prednisone (a steroid that is known to cause weight gain and diabetes) for a very long time. I literally need this medicine to breathe bc my asthma is that bad.
I hate that people assume all overweight people sit around and consume massive amounts of high-calorie food, and don’t do anything physically demanding. That may be the case for some people-but not all. Even then, it’s none of our business!
Just because a person wears a size 2, and appears healthy, doesn’t guarantee they are healthy. People can have high cholesterol, be predisposed to cancer, or hypertension based on genetics. Sure there is a correlation to many health concerns when one is overweight, but that’s not always the case. We CANNOT assess a persons health based on appearance. Let’s stop the anti-fat rhetoric. It’s ignorant, biased and backed by a billion $ weightloss industry.

**My doctor has told me on multiple occasions that I don’t eat enough. I was vegan/vegetarian for a long time. I control my portions drink water and was working out EVERY DAY, I lost 40lbs and have successfully kept it off for 3+ years, but guess what I’m still overweight! I’m paranoid about food and overeating. I take the stairs everywhere (even with asthma), I walk outdoors (weather permitting), I do strength training and do yoga. Im physically strong but STILL OVERWEIGHT! I’m really hard on myself and I don’t need society jumping down my throat and making uneducated, biased fat-phobic comments about me. I’m so sick of this conversation around other people’s weight-it’s nobody’s damn business!

Mor Goodguy that’s not what wrong with the statement, you can be over weight and still be healthy as a skinny person. Lizzo dances and does a lot of stuff and works out on the stage basically. She isn’t in and harm of illnesses and it was wrong for Jillian to assume that she would get one because of her weight.
Um, this is kinda a tangent, but I feel like the Amazon didn't get near as many donations and it's the world's biggest contributor of photosynthesis, which helps clear the world of the problematic issue we are seeing with CO2. Actually, it's one of the world's only buffers.
Don't get me wrong, the brush fires are horrible and deserve attention, and they cover a larger range than what was burned in the Amazon; however, the Amazon is more environmentally detrimental and it got far less attention. Like if we lose the Amazon and it's contributions to our atmosphere, we could all die.
Jillian Michaels was on the show and Lizzo was brought up in conversation. So, in order not to piss anyone off is she supposed to ignore the question.? Yeah, I don't think the interviewer should have even brought up Lizzo, but Jillian isn't in the wrong. I, like many, have obesity run in my family; myself currently included. My mom has stage four liver cirrhosis due to being obese for so long. Any prescription that could help with her other health issues, her liver cannot process it. She's in pain all the time due to that fact. At stage five, she will need a transplant in order to live. That being said, I'm so fucking tired of the Body Positivity movement.! It was meant to support those who had struggled with weight due to health reasons and to create representation for a community of those who have felt ignored. All it has done was give those who are obese an excuse and as soon as someone has a deferring opinion we label them a fat-shamer. Body Positivity shouldn't have anything to do with censorship. If you wanna love you and your size then do so.! But you can't go around forcing people to accept obesity as healthy. Nor can you force others to accept you or think like you. It is your job to love and accept you, no one else's.

Uhm Lyme disease-all three stages are DEFINITELY curable🤦🏻♀️. The 3rd worst stage requires 28 days of antibiotics. The first is a 7-10 day round of common antibiotics. The infection is flu like and very awful for the suffering. However, it is only those that go for YEARS without being treated that can get “Post-Lyme disease syndrome”, from which most people STILL recover. He does not deserve hate; but it does not explain his ill looks and depressed state. I wish he would use his platform to raise awareness for early treatment and prevention versus whatever he IS doing:/

Guys, obviously no one should be sending Justin hate or shaming him for his diagnosis, but for all these comments saying “don’t compare peoples diseases that’s tacky”, here’s the thing. No one would be comparing the experiences of these two people if Haley and Justin didn’t so strongly support the hate being thrown at Selena when the truth about her Lupus broke. Lupus is ACTUALLY incurable. Selena knows one day this disease will kill her no matter how much she puts it off, and yet for years she’s gotten hate and shame for it, which must be so hard to read. As much sympathy as I have for Justin, Lyme disease IS CURABLE. Is it difficult to cure? Yes. Is it a serious disease? Yes. But when Selena was dealing with a DEADLY, INCURABLE DISEASE, Justin and his wife were openly supportive of all the trolls and haters who were trying to bring her down, but now that Justin is struggling with health issues Hayley has the audacity to speak out saying “no one should be spreading hate over a serious health condition”. Excuse me? That’s what SHE did. THATS what people are comparing.
No one is saying Justin should get hate or that we shouldn’t support his health struggles, but it’s totally reasonable to compare these two experiences. If they really think it’s so unforgivable to hate on someone and shame them when they’re struggling with a serious disease, why did they do it themselves? There is no reason we should just excuse or forget their behaviour just because now they’re experiencing it themselves.
Please be respectful no matter which side you’re on, but at the same time, please understand that no matter what struggles someone may be going through, it’s never an excuse for their own awful behaviour. No one can learn from the past if we just say “they have a disease, you can’t judge them”. Just like no one can learn from the past if all we do is spew hate and shame each other.
