The Mercedes Mercedes S-Class S400d Sedan LongS400d has a 2.925 cc 6 cylinder diesel engine that delivers 340 hp and 700 Nm of max. torque. The Mercedes S400d goes from 0-100 km/h in 5,2 sec and it has a top speed of 250 km/h km/h. The Mercedes S400d has a 9G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission and four wheel drive (4Matic).

The BMW 7 series 750d has a 2993cc diesel engine with 6 cylinders and 4 turbochargers that delivers 400 hp and a max. torque of 760 Nm. It goes from 0-100 km/h in 4,6 sec and has a topspeed of 250 km/h. It has an automatic gear box and xDrive.

You do not have to stroke the steering wheel now and then to prevent the system from alert but move it. Its senses react to very little resistance.

same here i usually smoke out side the car leaning on the hood and leave the car running and some music but that clatter from the engine is annoying af but for the most part its perfect
Nice but in the BMW acceleration in sport mode and in comfort mode in the MERC... why BMW should be all the time more sportier than Merc ?
Antoine DIL Bmw knows more how to combine Comfort with Sport so Bmw isn’t as comfortable as Mercedes but the engine is better and the dynamics are better on Bmw. Mercedes is more for comfort and luxury when Bmw is more for Luxury and Sport.
MaxBans Maybe but for me it remains a stereotype which could be true a few years ago but now with all the configuration systems (sport, comfort, eco ...) working on the engine, direction, suspensions ... the differences are less noticeable than before and today a Mercedes can be as sporty as a BMW and a BMW as comfort as a Mercedes
anyway it's my opinion ;)
Even an E-class is more comfy than a BMW 7-serie.. You do not really buy the BMW if you are into comfort.. It is a sporty limousine, and that is it.. Audi A8 and Mercedes S-Class is a league above when it comes to comfort..

Not really a fair comparison, looked like a high spec Benz with the rear lounge seating and screens etc but was a low spec BMW, short wheel base and no rear lounge no screens etc. My 7 series is much nicer in the rear and more comparible to the Benz in this video. I think both are beautiful and was a hard choice for me when I was buying but the BMW won me over in the end.
You don't have to change the gears when it's parking in the S Class!!

When new, the S-class interior looks better. But it's made of cheaper materials, and in a few years it'll look much more worn out and dated. It's been this way since the W220. BMW's use better, longer-lasting materials.

What's more, the Beemer uses augmented engine noises (I think they still do anyway) through the speaker. Very disappointing
