I can tell you where it is and having run there myself I can say it does have a marvellous feel. The teacher at the beginning says it's Colliers Wood which is in South London but it's actually the canal footpath next to Springfield park in North East London. Towards the end you can even see the Anchor and Hope Pub (Postcode E5 9HG if you want to check on google maps).
