Animal.. a very unique and dark tale. Very long.. Mostly a father-son tale of 3 toxic generations. Great action but 2hrs of dialogue/drama and an hour of gory violence.
Reviews are fair in saying it's not palatable for general audience. Some bits r very violent, sexist and incendiary. But is a deep-dive into the dark mind of the maker.
Bobby shines in a very short role as does Tripti. Ranbir was phenomenal. Rashmika tried but was the weakest. Wish they had edited the middle to shorten the melodrama bits a bit. Is 3hrs 20 mins which is very long for this age. Action choreography and music is brilliant.
Sort of like K3G meets American Psycho meets Scarface/ The Boys.
Jawan was more fun tbh.
Most characters here were very volatile and with hardly any positive shades. Which is new for Indian movies where usually there is some redeeming quality in everyone.
A brave attempt for Indian films. But sequel will be tough as increasing the blood and gore from this might be too much for most of the general audience..
Already could see other viewers uncomfortable with the bloodshed in this.
