I followed it along okay, with subtitles, but the thing that made it unintentionally hilarious at times was when Sautet repeatedly intercut the story with clips of the guy's car crash. Doing so over and over again made it seem like the wreck went on for an hour and a half and carried the poor guy 75 miles or so... hilarious.

You didn't understand a thing about the film, too bad, keep watching movies that aren't too complicated!

I just watched it tonight on Amazon Prime, but I had to rent it for $1.99. It was worth it. It's not on Netflix. You tube rents it too.

I really loved the movie, but Michel Piccoli's (and everyone else's) smoking CONSTANTLY was distracting. I guess that's how it was in France then. I also couldn't help noticing that it must've been filmed in the middle of a very hot summer. Everyone was sweating. But Romy was still so beautiful. Great movie!
