*Correction Notice:* I somehow messed up some really basic math at the end. The equation for Wolverine's final age should instead read (81.24-25)x7.5-25= 446.8 Chronological Years
Oh, the agony! I ruined the climax of the whole video! This is what you get when you rush a project, folks. But I hope this note sorts out any confusion on the matter.
Wouldn't it be (81.24 - 25) x 7.5 + 25? Looks like you used a minus sign between 7.5 and 25
Soooo......... we live to die?
The Imaginary Axis I
The Imaginary Axis pls make more videos u have great content
Actually I believe in the Logan movie(and in at least one of the comic series remember Magneto rips the adamantium that's poisoning him out of his body) it isn't old age but his system being poisoned by the adamantium so his healing factor was rewritten at least twice
Wolverines greatest fear is to outlive everyone that he loves and have only Deadpool left
PugLord Productions lol
Nah short and stinky loves me all the way down to the bottom of his pants.
ITS HELL
How fucking old are you? The sole reason that makes Deadpool Deadpool is his language and the way he acts.
Kenshin Yazaki lmfao exactly
"How do you kill a man who cannot die? By taking away his reasons for living."
NorthernRedStar
What if the reason for living is because you are alive?
"My reason for living is because I am alive."
Impractical, but possible.
DragonKing3787 that's a good philosophy to have and is actually the mindset of a Survivor mentality and then if you remember in one of the X-Men movies Wolverine tells Magneto that Magneto is a Survivor like him so wolverine is a Survivor then that means he would have a reason for living just to live
NorthernRedStar he can drown no matter what he heals he needs oxygen
I think if you drown him he just goes into a coma until revived
This happens in the superhero webserial "worm" but put more tragicly.
How do you kill that which has crafted itself to be unkillable? Make it WANT to die. Dont just take away their reason to live, take it away and push them into the ground for good measure. Make the unkillable god suffer until they see death as the only escape.
Like i said, it's pretty tragic actually.
There are hundreds if not thousands of comic book related youtubers and content creators on the interent, but only Tyler at the Imaginary Axis instils a real sense of philosophy into the fanstasy that is comic books. Truly enjoyable to witness. If u read this, hit us up with a like Tyler :)
Dave K you stole the unformed words from my mind.
Yeah man he does his homework ! It’s so cool ! The simple abundance of things like paradox’s he discovers really blows me away !
You rock Tyler ! Never change bro !
500Th like
yes and A+ for him...to bad the ones comic books don't try that any more
He's also constantly healing from metal poisoning
Mr.24 game theory?
@@notchbrine25 comic books son
@@notchbrine25 it is true. Adamantium is super toxic and kills each second cells. Because of that Wolverines healing factor is a bit weaker as before where he hasnt an adamantium skeleton. It is also the reason why he gets faster older because of his cell division which destroy slowly his mutant cells.
ZephyrXYZ but that’s not what killed him in Logan a virus did
@@angelrider1602 no.
I love rewatching all of your videos Tyler, all of them are just so analytical about many philosophical aspects, well edited and high quality.
Hey
We share the same heart brother
Well here iam...
Hi😀
Why do I see this man everywhere?
In short Wolverine Ate the Heal Heal Devil Fruit and hence Can't swim
Hussain Halai don't even like One Piece but I appreciate the reference
Hussain Halai Thumbs up for that OP reference.
😂😂😂
it all makes sense. he got the boneclaws as his mutation, and then he ate the heal heal fruit. and then he got the adamantium skeleton.
👌
what if in the year 2470, they have RUclips and someone is watching and they are yelling, "OHHHHHHHH GET REKT IMAGINARY AXIS I SAW THIS VID IN 2470!!!!!!!!!"
Marco Lu the fuuuuuuuck
time is like an ocean not so much a garden hose, chances are it already happened yet
We wouldn’t be alive to see that
Cyrogenics is possible although it would be expensive and scientists havent found a way to safely extract the bodies
What he's saying is that WE wouldnt be a live in yhat year
"it wouldn't be a healing factor, it would be magic"
How is it not magic when his body produces cells out of thin air?
I would explain cell reproduction, but I can't be arsed.
Just look it up, it's called science, not magic.
@@Grandflea02 Your body doesn't produce cells out of nothing. It produces them out of materials it has.
Wolverine on the other hand regularly regenerates damage way beyond what his body could conceivably have materials for without taking them from some other important places.
@@Fif0l I do know that, I just misunderstood your comment, sorry
But yh, I do agree that he shouldnt be able to heal as well as he can
Deadpool I understand, because of his immortality curse, but wolverine should not be able to heal like that unless he was eating protein-rich food 24/7
@@Grandflea02 in layman's terms you neèd the cell atleast 1 to perform mitosis and produce more , or have stem cells , if he doesn't have a supply of stem cells in his brain , it's impossible
His body has stem cells.
I feel like being at the center of a city leveling explosion would incinerate his lungs no? I mean the rib cage has holes in between each rib. That being said if he can survive with no lungs how would drowning actually kill him?
Erik Sollenberger I imagine his lungs regenerate in the timespan his brain can work without oxygen, which is about 5 minutes for a regular human if I recall correctly. By drowning him, you take that timespan out of the equation.
his brain would shutdown due to lack of oxygen.
Erik Sollenberger: atomic bomb cooked his skin fairly well.
I imagine he would basically start rotting and only once his brain had rotted enough he might be "dead". But until then he's just in a sort of death like torpor
Wolverine has healed from a single drop of blood. I don’t think his brain is what’s healing but his cells as a whole have the ability to repair itself in a way that would make a perfect copy of before. So technically speaking radiation poisoning wouldn’t apply to Wolverine
AH I just turned 25.... guess its all down hill from here
It's up hill. And one day you'll be over the hill.
Yep I’m 23
Lol now you’re almost 30
now you are 32. i hope.
i am 64, and here to tell you that you were right, but you probably figured it out.
good luck, kid.
I love how every time you do something like this you give us a motivational message, it adds a bit of authenticity to the formula of your videos.
Well, if he lives to 584, he might at least have his daughter to keep him company.
Sam Swarms his son hates him and his "daughter" is literally his clone.
If you know what a clone is that can't be his daughter.
@@refineries147 but he does have an actual daughter
@@smashmaniac2008 his daughter isn't a clone. His clone is a clone
His daughter is just someone made from his genetic material, its more like his younger sister if anything tbh in a sense. Unless they added some other genetic material.
Unexpectedly deep and philosophical content in this video. Probably one of my favourites so far in your catalogue. Thank you for your efforts!
Tyler from the Imaginary Axis, discovering the meaning of life since 2017.
Glad you're back to doing videos Tyler. Love your content.
Felipe Pereira same watched every video in the Chanel twice
Don't mention it. I'm happy to be back. Tell all your friends about me. :P
The Imaginary Axis Yet another great video!
The Imaginary Axis You're so great dude.
The Imaginary Axis you are the best youtuber I have ever watched
I can't remember how I stumbled upon your channel, but I'm so glad I did. I love all of the thought and time you put into your videos and how you explain concepts in an educational way. Keep up the great work!
If his bones are surrounded by adamantium how do white blood cells get around his body since white blood cells are produced in bone marrow and his bones are surrounded by an inpeneratble layer of adamantium
They aren't 'surrounded' per se, but 'laced'. There's a difference. consider it 'ivy' around the bone.
I know the artwork doesn't exactly show that at times, but the wording is always 'his bones are laced with a rare metal', not 'completed covered'.
He's friking wolverine that's why
That exact question is why adamantium poisoning is a thing
tyler, man... you are one great philosopher. each one of your videos has something deep to ponder upon.
keep up the good work. you are seriously underrated.
Man I love your channel ! I’m s really insightful the way you use science , math, law and so many other disciplines to explain our favorite characters bro ! Thanks!
I remember 1066, what a fun year.
Primaris Marine immortal gang
Can you do a video on how powerful a Jedi is? Maybe specifically Luke or Anakin. I was thinking about it and both got hit by lightning and walked it off. Luke recieved torrents of force lightning for several seconds. If force lightning is the same as the real deal, he probably absorbed millions of volts at over 30000° K. I think there's a lot of potential for a video there.
I like for you to do a video on how powerful are the Jedi and Sith👍🏾
Force lightning is actually more powerful than normal lighting
love ur videos man
Thanks a ton! I'm glad you like them! :)
The Imaginary Axis yes I'm a huge fan of ur channel and I think ur most interesting video was how fast is the flash been a huge super hero fan since I was a kid and I love all the science and comic evidence u have to back up what u r saying easy to say I'll be subscribed and have post notifications on for ur channel
The Imaginary Axis im subed since 80k
Ch
When I feel down and out with just 4th he daily ups and downs of life, Tyler and the imaginary axis somehow turn it around leaving me with a smile on my face. Thanks
6:39
He can't heal from that. if he could, that wouldnt be a healing factor, it would be magic
DP: naw it'd be an immortality curse from an oversized raisin with legs
hey The Imaginary Axis can u explain how characters like capt. america, robin, or daredevil can throw their weapons have it bounce off objects and return to then.....LOGICALLY
Those things do not obey the laws of physics at all!
i never understood how capt america was able to perfectly throw his shield and catch it every time.........so The Imaginary Axis are u saying that it isnt even a SLIGHT bit PLAUSIBLE????.....at all??
i thought in one of the movies they said he had a magnet or some shit, which confuses me because wouldn't that thing latch on ironman all day....
Shad Wood yeah they had that in Avengers 2 and the funny thing is that was a reference to an early Avengers comic and they quickly get rid of the magnet thing because Stan Lee decided it was stupid. So it's too stupid for 1960s Comics but they put it in a modern Avengers film go figure
Mr Grandi in one of the comics it says that he can see faster.... Also he angles the shield so that it always returns to him.
Off Topic: BUT DID YALL SEE THE SAMURAI JACK PREIMEERE ??????!!!!!!
wut does this have to anything
those girls age fast "lennyface"
i sure did :)
It was SO good.
lol, perfect timing!
Love your videos man keep up the great work, hope to see your videos in my sub box much more frequently :)
I hope you do too! I'm going to be trying to put more frequent content out.
The Imaginary Axis Great! I know these videos take quite a while to make so I understand if you can't release them to often
"Maybe life is important, because its short"...that's the best line i've heard in years....and I totally agree with you ! Thanks for great video and keep it up :)
"We can all die, but maybe that's exactly why we live" Inception
But when he was blasted by that nuke he was nothing but an Adamantium skeleton, so he didn't have lungs in that situation either but he still healed.
And deadpool once completely regenerated from a single hand, and surprisingly, hands don't have lungs
That might be because of the immortality curse thanos put on him, but I'm not sure when that came into effect
And there’s the time wolverine regenerated from a drop of blood, if I recall.
@@Johnof1000Suns He did that because he used a magical stone which he was healed from a single drop of blood.
Fenrir 007 Didn’t know that, so that’s cleared it up.
Fenrir 007 Wolverine would have his brain get turned to Jelly every time he punched by Simone like Hulk or The Thing. His neck should snap severing the brain stem. I don’t think his brain is responsible but more like his cells act like cells from John Carpenters thing. It’s more of a defense mechanism. And it seems like mutant abilities come from puberty and testosterone. Besides ones that change physical features
The superpowers of a character in comic shouldn't be taken for granted.
Wolverin do not need air to survive, well at least, dont so much air, lets think.. at ground zero during the explosion he had no lungs, no organs to receive and distribute the oxygen to the brain; and he was able to regenerate all soft tissue from a naked skeleton. So in water, while drowning, the some principle must to be applied.
In water he has no oxygen, so his brain shuts down.
Cells can still absorb oxygen from the air. We breathe through our skin, for example. Underwater, however, we don't have a filtering system (such as gills) so Wolverine can't absorb oxygen into his bloodstream.
@@Rozwarty we breathe through our *NOSE*
@@crystalicfire6630 Yes, obviously. What I meant was that our skin also breathes, though no where near as much as amphibians, we still do. What I stood to prove was that our cells can absorb oxygen passively, even if in minuscule amounts.
@@Rozwarty I'm pretty sure that that is absolute nonsense
I'm a big fan of your work. Please keep up the good work!!
Quality content Tyler, keep it up
hey Tyler I love your videos I just wanna ask you if you have a schedule for when you post videos
Wolverines greatest fear is a magnet
Magneto really can fuck him up
I'll live forever. My body is just a temporary vehicle. After my body dies, my energy, my spirit goes on for an eternal trip through the cosmos.
Hey Tyler, thanks for all the work you put into your videos! I always set aside some time in my day to watch your videos when I see them in my sub box. Keep up the good work!
I love your videos!!!! You brought science and comic books to reality. Keep up the good work! That was a deep point about out living your love ones and trying to squeeze as many memories as you can. I think about how short 2pac life was and all the people he affected during his 25 years on earth. You videos are amazing!!!!
The reason wolverine was going old and aging is because his adamantium poisoned him damn it's not age
Tyler your the best, and you make my dweeb side so happy!
I'm glad you like my material. It makes me happy to hear it makes other people happy. :)
Oh my gosh this is the best day ever, you actually responded!

Went into this video wanting to learn about Wolverine, left this video with an existential crisis
great vid bruh, wanna see tho if Lobo can die from ageing?
I love these videos
Thank you. I work very hard on them.
The Imaginary Axis I really do like watching them because I learn so much and I'm a very big comic fanatic and honestly keep wondering what it takes to be a hero as them so thank you for educating me
Deathism.
>You will never see the year 2470
Just you wait. I plan to live for a really long time.
the only guy that speaks sense about anything. big up bro. nice work
Very few theoretical videos out there throws us with lessons we can all learn from. I love this channel so much.
How does Wolverine move so fast even though he has adamantium inside of him? Like, 100 lbs of indestructible metal should've slowed him down, yet he has still shown some impressive feats of speed. Also, Wolverine's skeleton isn't MADE of metal, the adamantium is just a coating basically.
If you were to wear clothes that weigh about 90 kilos, at first it would be a challenge to move, but after a month or two your body would get used to it and you would be able to move the same way you moved before putting those clothes on
No its because of his adamantium and he has using his healing for so many things he use it so many times that he lost it of old age
Just hit 25!!! Ohh wait...
Don't worry. I'm about to get there too. You're not alone.
That's where life begins. You learn how to compensate. By eating healthy and doing excises you never done before in your life.
Man, I love this channel
I must say, this video had both great wolverine content but it also had one hell of a moral that brought a tear to my eye
i love how can wolverine die comes out a week after logan
so, how long would dead pool live? 1000 years?
Siddhant Agarwal as long his cancer is active...
I guess Deadpool is weak to weed then 😂
Siddhant Agarwal infinite, he's immortal
how so?
He was crushed between two planets I believe. Or maybe it was dimensions idk
What about freezing?
asphyxiation?
Acidic emulation?
Prolonged burning or incineration?
Am I the only one who loves Tyler's channel because he can make "geeky" content while still being interesting to listen too. I seriously admire is abillity to be geeky (in a positive way) and stay interesting to the audience.
Keep up the good work
Good job bruh. I am enjoying your work immensely.
In the wolverine movie when he has to cut into his torso to extract and feeding robot bug on his heart, why didnt he just rip his heart out and grow and new healthy one???
Bubba Chuck Cause it would hurt, I wouldn't even if I was immortal in every way.
Pain, maybe?
His ribs would probably be a problem if he tried that. He would have to go around them just in order to reach his heart, considering his ribs are pretty much indestructable.
Good question... It might possibly cut off nearly all the oxygen supply in his body because there's no longer an organ specifically designed to distribute it throughout the body still in his body... unless his healing factor can somehow ration all that oxygen to keep him alive long enough to grow a new one, but who knows if that's been tested before?
And we can't say that he can for sure because Deadpool's done it before. Lets remember that Deadpool's healing factor is more powerful, so it's definitely not "anything Deadpool can do, Wolverine can do better". It's the other way around in that context.
He didn't have his healing at the time, and he didn't know if removing the bug would instantly bring back his healing or would take a while to return.
To put it simply, tearing out his heart was too risky.
Wolverine Wanted Me To Say, "Thanks For Giving Away My Only Weakness BUB! " He Also Wanted Me To Tell You, Hes Gonna Have To Use Your Only Weakness

The answer is Yes.
Why do your episodes take so long to come out? I just love em' so much, and I was wondering why they aren't more common.
Another entertaining and educational video! Keep them coming.
What about when he was killed by being covered by molten adamantium
Suffocation, like with drowning explained in the video.
Yeah....but later kitty pryde phases through adamantium covered outside his body and removes him.x-men then bury him but after a few days his body disappears.
i mean, did they prove he was killed? He was encased and not moving. But was he dead? Schrodingers wolverine. Unless you open the box, you can't know.

U would get way more subs if u posted more
Probably, but my content would also be garbage if I posted more than about once every two weeks. It takes time to make these videos by myself, and I take pride in my work.
Quality > Quantity. Don't try and make a youtuber one of those that relies on clickbait when quality fails them.
Deadpool’s healing factor was extracted from wolverines so wolverines would be more powerful
This guy has quality content, he's is so underappreciated
You missed the fact that the Adamantium is constantly poisoning him, and his healing factor has to be compensating that every single second os his life since the experiment. That makes him old faster the older he is.
in the X-Men movie universe he was born in 1783 at the latest, because in Logan the year of birth on his driver's license is "83", and in origins he fought in the civil war, witch ended in 1885
Dude...I can't watch your channel before bed. Good job.
So he won't die if his lungs get destroyed but they must not be filled with water.
Correct. Your body can't heal from oxygen deprivation, just like how it can't heal from hunger or thirst.
Tyler you’re my favorite youtuber ever!!!!
Hey man loved your video? But also I love the Marvel poster in the background, where can I get myself one?
Very well done. Your stoichiometry in your equation on cellular respiration checked out, and it was even poignant at the end. I really enjoy your channel, young man. Now get back to work on more!
your video made me depressed , I feel like giving everything up to have more moments in life I can remember before I die . also I like the way you interpret things
